Soon the awakening ceremony ended, and the elder began to lead everyone out of the cave while informing them about what they should do starting tomorrow.
"Go back to your place and rest well tonight, as tomorrow morning will be your first day of classes at the Gu Academy." As soon as everyone left the pavilion, the elder said his last words before sending them home.
Fang Yuan and Fang Zheng returned home and were immediately greeted by their uncles, who carried a big and wide fake smile on their faces.
"Fang Yuan, Fang Zheng. You finally arrived; tell me, how was your ceremony?" Dong Tu asked them with a calm smile; it was evident that he already knew the results of the ceremony.
Knowing his uncle's thoughts like an open book, Fang Yuan clenched his fists in a traditional Chinese greeting as he related how the ceremony had gone down.
"Ow! I knew you would have great talent. It looks like we took good care of you." The aunt replied as she used the sleeve of her robe that reached down to her wrists to cover the smile on her face.
"Yes, Yes. You really didn't let us down, you sure are our pride." Uncle said as he lightly nodded his head and stroked his beard.
"I appreciate the uncle's compliments, but I am exhausted and wanted to excuse myself to get some sleep." Fang Yuan showed her charismatic smile as he excused himself to his room.
The uncle slightly raised his eyebrow as he wanted to talk (manipulate) the twins some more. But he reluctantly nodded and sent them straight to their rooms to rest, even though Dong Tu eagerly pulled Fang Zheng to his side and filled his head with flowery words.
Fang Zheng, who was just standing by the side while listening to everything, decided to follow his brother and go to his room since he couldn't sleep last night because of his anxiety.
As soon as the twins left the room, the uncles immediately wiped their smiles off their faces as they returned to talking to each other.
"Who knew the two would have such great talent." the aunt said with apprehension.
"Fang Yuan we expected, but Fang Zheng is also a Grade A talent? Now that is a turnaround." Uncle held his forehead as he sighed.
"Fang Yuan is fine, since we've treated him well all these years. But what if Fang Zheng decides to take revenge for everything we did to him?" The aunt began to throw her negative thoughts at her husband.
"Ha, Fang Zheng is still too soft, all we need to do is be kind to him too." The uncle snorted as he threw away his wife's worries.
"Oh, really. Since he was a child, Fang Zheng has been in love with the servant Shen Cui, we only need to use this to dissuade him." The aunt had one of her few moments when she used her brain.
The uncles continued to discuss their plans and ways to better deal with the twins without incurring the clan's wrath on them, as the brothers were subsequently a tremendous and essential asset.
...
Once Fang Yuan arrived in his room, he closed the door and sat on the bed as he analyzed his Nexus earnings.
"Nexus, how much information have you been able to gather about the spirit spring? Is it possible for you to replicate Primeval Stones just like the Gu worms?" Fang Yuan closed his eyes as he argued with Nexus.
[I managed to gather a significant amount of information about the spiritual spring of this world, Sir!]
[But after studying and analyzing all this information, I have come to a conclusion that you may not be happy with, Sir]
Fang Yuan slightly raised his eyebrow as he questioned, "Oh? And what conclusion was that?"
[While conducting research on spiritual springs, I realized that the energy used to create the Primeval Stones is different from the Dao Marks]
[It seems that the Dao marks are in the spiritual spring, but what really forms the Primeval Stones is the energy that permeates this entire world]
[That is, the Primeval Stones are created by the Primeval Energy of this world. And for that reason, I cannot use the same method of replicating Gu worms with the Primeval Stones]
[But I found a possible solution while digging through the Database, Do you want to know, Sir?]
Fang Yuan sighed; he knew it wouldn't be that easy to replicate a cultivation resource as essential as Primeval Stones, but at least he still had a glimmer of hope thanks to Nexus' last reply.
"Tell me what alternative method you thought of?" Fang Yuan hoped that this solution would be workable for him.
[While I was scouring my Database for a possible solution, I found an item called – Lotus Treasure of Heavenly Essence]
[This Gu has the innate ability to condense the world's Primeval Energy into Primeval Stones]
[And one of these Gu is very close to us right now, so if I study this Gu and learn how it works, I'm confident enough to learn its innate ability]
[Then I can produce Primeval Stones with the Primeval Energy of the world]
"This is amazing, Nexus!" Fang Yuan was overjoyed, he remembered the main Gu of the Flower Wine Monk's heritage and was already planning to acquire this Gu for him, but now he had one more reason to get this Gu.
Fang Yuan and Nexus began planning the best methods to acquire the Flower Wine Monk's inheritance without attracting the clan's attention. Especially now that he is a Grade A talent and will be closely watched and protected by the clan.
So he would have to find a method of escaping prying eyes without people noticing he was missing. And Fang Yuan already had a rough plan about an effective method to carry out his plan.
"As long as I'm in the Gu academy I'll be safe by her elders, so the clan's vigilance over me this year should be at its lowest. I must seize this opportunity and explore the heritage as much as possible before the clan leader assigns someone to be my bodyguard." Fang Yuan was already putting together a small puzzle in his mind.
"an A-grade talent that doesn't have any life experience is just as useless as a C-grade talent." Fang Yuan started thinking about some possibilities until he was stopped by Nexus.
[Sir, I must remind you that the clan wanting you to gain experience doesn't stop them from watching you in the dark to protect you]
[They can send hidden guards in case something unforeseen happens]
[So it's good to be alert]
"I didn't forget about that Nexus; I'm just thinking about possible odds. Nothing is certain in this world, so I'm formulating some backup plans just in case…" Fang Yuan was answering Nexus until he remembered something that could greatly help with his current plans.
"Nexus, formulate a plan according to my current thoughts" Fang Yuan passed his thoughts to Nexus as the two concentrated on adjusting the plan.

Fang Yuan woke up early the next morning and prepared for his first day at Gu Academy.
Fang Yuan and Fang Zheng walked towards the Gu Academy as they lightly chatted.
"So, have you already confessed your feelings to young Shen Cui?" Fang Yuan asked with a teasing smile towards Fang Zheng.
"What? N-no, who said I like her?" Fang Zheng blushed as he revealed that he really liked young Shen Cui.
Fang Zheng scratched his cheek with his right index finger as he asked sheepishly, "Do you think I should confess? Would I have a chance?"
Fang Yuan looked at Fang Zheng's expression and smiled as he rubbed his hand over his head, "A man without love is nothing but an empty shell."
"I think you should go ahead and do what your heart says, be confident and be honest and I'm sure she will accept it." Fang Yuan advised soothing his little brother.
Fang Zheng smiled as he felt his brother stop stroking his head, "Thank you big brother!"
"huh? No need to be thankful for such nonsense." Fang Yuan raised an eyebrow as he answered his little brother.
"No. It's not just about that, I wanted to thank you for everything you've done for me. And I apologize for not acknowledging your affection earlier." Fang Zheng lowered his head as he felt embarrassed.
"Hahaha. So that's what you were talking about." Fang Yuan raised his head and realized they had already reached the academy, so he lightly glanced at Fang Zheng as she smiled.
"You don't need to thank me for that, I just did what an older brother should do." Fang Yuan patted Fang Zheng on the head again and entered the classroom.
"Big brother…" Fang Zheng was thrilled as he stood in the middle of the classroom door, blocking students' passage.
"Err... Excuse me, could you let me through?!" A petite young woman with short brown hair asked lightly.
"Oh yes. Sorry." Fang Zheng snapped out of his thoughts as he entered the room and made room for the students to join.
Fang Zheng chose a seat at the front of the room, right next to his brother, who was sitting on the edge of the window.
It took just over ten minutes for everyone to arrive and settle into their seats; shortly after, the academy elder who would lecture today's class also came.
"Alright, everyone, calms down and pay attention. Today I will discuss aperture and the development of Gu worms." The academy elder caught the youths' attention and began to teach his class.
"Once you went through the ceremony process, you ended up awakening your aperture; the aperture is nothing more than a mysterious and enigmatic spherical space inside Gu Master's body around the stomach area. Being ethereal, it does not occupy physical space like an internal organ. The aperture is infinitely large, but at the same time infinitely small." The elder patiently explained as he wrote and drew some shapes on the board at the front of the room.
"Your aperture produces and stores Primeval Essence depending on your Primeval Sea's Aptitude and Level. Primeval Essence is the foundation for a Gu Master's cultivation and furthering his cultivation. It can also be a place for a Gu Master to safely place and store their Gu Worms."
The academy elder thus spent the next few hours explaining the fundamentals and essence of what being a Gu Master entailed. But despite the elder spending hours talking about a single subject, the students didn't disturb his class even once; everyone was highly focused and learning as much as possible; some even asked questions and wrote in their notebooks.
...
As soon as the class was over, it was almost night, but Fang Yuan didn't immediately return home. Instead, he bought some green bamboo wine from the tavern in the northwest part of the village and then ensured that no one was following him before he left. Exit through the north gate of the village.
"Phew. No one noticed me." Fang Yuan sighed as he was grateful that he had absorbed the previous Fang Yuan memories and experiences and learned a lot about stealth and how to get someone out of his tracks.
Fang Yuan looked up at the sky and saw that the sun was already setting and the day was turning to night; he then simply headed in the direction that the map Nexus compiled of Qing Mao Mountain indicated and approached the location of the Monk of Wine's inheritance of Flowers.
A peaceful and serene stream soon appeared in Fang Yuan's field of vision as he followed the map projected by Nexus; he soon began to follow the stream up the mountain with all the speed he could muster in his legs.
Quickly, Fang Yuan began to hear the sounds of a waterfall's impact, and after crossing a space of tall vegetation, he saw a small waterfall with a slight crevice in the middle of the stone.
Fang Yuan was overjoyed as he looked at the spot and recognized it almost immediately from the description in the book.
"It really is here, it seems your deduction was correct Nexus!" Fang Yuan commented as he panted from the run he had made. But he soon recovered and started heading towards the crevice in the waterfall.
[That's what it looks like, Sir!]
[Apparently, the heavy rains of the previous days brought this waterfall back to life]
"So off we go!" Fang Yuan approached the crevice and plunged headfirst into it as he was splashed by the cold water of the waterfall. He got drenched as he stared into the darkness that was the beginning of this cave.
The cave was dark and devoid of light as soon as Fang Yuan entered it; all he could do now was move forward quickly so that he could reach the end of this cave as soon as possible.
A few meters later, Fang Yuan could finally see some light; it was the red light he had already expected to see here in this Inheritances.
He continued his walk through the cave towards the source of the red light and soon saw the wide entrance to the Inheritance. Fang Yuan quickly took out the green bamboo wine that was sealed at his waist and opened it; he then drank some, scattered the rest around the place, and left the half-empty jar on the ground to attract and get the Liquor Worm drunk.
As soon as he had made all the preparations, he immediately moved away to a safe distance to observe what would happen without scaring off the Liquor Worm.
A short while later, a fluffy white ball floated out lightly from inside the red room as he cautiously looked around before finally being tempted by the aroma of wine and starting to drown in the pitcher.
The Liquor Worm continued to play inside the wine pot while drinking all it could. Because of his almost insatiable munchies, he devoured the wine entirely in a few minutes; soon, the Liquor Worm got extremely drunk and staggered back into the red room.
Fang Yuan, calmly watching everything happen, released a victorious smile and rushed towards the red room while retrieving the pot from the ground.
Soon he was greeted by an enormous room glowing in a faint red light.
Looking around, he could see the mossy walls with various vines and vines scattered throughout the room, along with a few wilted flower buds, a few empty pots, and a human-shaped pile of bones thrown in the centre of the wall inheritance room.
Fang Yuan crouched down, picking up these vines, knowing all well what they were about, and instructed Nexus to devour his Dao Marks while adding them to the Database.
[Adding to Database – Wine Sack Flower Gu...]
[Wine Sack Flower Gu – Available to Replicate!]
[Adding to Database – Rice Bag Grass Gu...]
[Rice Bag Grass Gu – Available to Replicate!]
The vines, vines, and flowers quickly began to disappear from the red room as they were all converted into Dao Marks by Nexus as he added them to his Database.
"Good, now we already have three Gu worms that we can replicate!" Fang Yuan was happy as he watched the progress of the Nexus database.
After all the vision-impairing grasses were absorbed by Nexus, the Photo-Audio Gu that was hidden between them suddenly activated and started playing the video about the truth of what happened 300 years ago.
Fang Yuan simply ignored what was being shown on the opposite wall, took the Liquor Worm, and instantly refined it with the Rank 6 aura of the Spring Autumn Cicada.
"Nexus, scan the Liquor Worm but do not convert it into Dao Marks. I still need it for my cultivation." Fang Yuan ordered Nexus and tucked the Liquor Worm into its aperture before heading towards the Flower Wine Monk's pile of bones.
[Understood!]
Fang Yuan took the bag with 15 Primeval Stones from the bone pile and put it away slowly as he got up again and had the Nexus devour Photo-Audio Gu Dao Marks and add it to its library.
With all that done, Fang Yuan approached where the video was playing and prepared to demolish the place to acquire the rest of the inheritance.
"Nexus, devour this wall of earth." Fang Yuan had a concentrated gaze as he watched the wall slowly disappear as it was devoured by Nexus.
[Ready, Sir!]
As soon as the passage opened, Fang Yuan could see a long tunnel slightly sloping diagonally downwards with the same red glow as the first room of the inheritance had. He then moved forward through the tunnel path.
Finally reaching the end of the tunnel after a few long minutes of walking, Fang Yuan saw a huge round boulder blocking his way forward.
But already knowing what it was, Fang Yuan simply crouched near the round stone where there was a small wet spot and started digging the spot while seeing the appearance of the Earth Treasury Flower Gu buried beneath it.
With care and grace, Fang Yuan began to peel the petals of the Earth Treasury Flower Gu just like one peels an onion. And after some time, taking off the petals carefully so as not to hurt the Gu inside, he finally saw the White Boar Gu resting on the flower bud.
"Scan the White Boar Gu and devour the Dao Marks of the Earth Treasury Flower Gu, Nexus." Fang Yuan guarded the White Boar Gu as he rose from his crouched position.
"Devour that stone as well, Nexus." Soon the enormous round boulder that blocked Fang Yuan's path gradually disappeared until nothing was left to block the way.
Fang Yuan continued his walk and followed the tunnel now inclined diagonally upwards; he could soon find another room, only this time, the passage was blocked by a massive stone door.
And he wasn't planning to open that door now when he was simply an Initial Stage Level 1 Gu Master. He prefers to wait at least to reach the upper stage before trying his luck with the Jade-Eyed Stone Monkeys.
Fang Yuan wasted no time and crouched down as he repeated the same process as he did with the White Boar Gu. He got the Jade Skin Gu and scanned it, and let the Nexus devour the Earth Flower that guarded it.
"Nexus. How many Gu do you have in your database now?" Fang Yuan lightly asked as he exited the cave and returned to her house.
[I currently have 8 Gu Worms in my Database]
[Rank 6 – Spring Autumn Cicada]
[Rank 1 – Hope Gu]
[Rank 1 – Wine Sack Flower Gu]
[Rank 1 – Rice Bag Grass Gu]
[Rank 1 – Liquor Worm Gu]
[Rank 1 – Earth Treasury Flower Gu]
[Rank 1 – White Boar Gu]
[Rank 1 – Jade Skin Gu]
"For someone who has been in this world for less than three days, I'm fine with life. One Rank 6 Gu, and three rare-to-find Rank 1 Gu worms." Fang Yuan calmly nodded as he counted four Gu worms within his aperture.
I may take a while to post chapters, but I didn't drop this story.
In fact, I am more inspired than ever to write this story.
But unfortunately, I don't have much time to translate and revise the story, as it is time-consuming and laborious.
So this ends up becoming an extremely tiring process for me these days.
I've already written up to chapter 10, but I can't find the time to translate and revise the story, so the chapters take much longer to be posted.
