Enter Hannah

After a half day of cooking, Travis had finished for the time being. He went to the kitchen and drank some water, which tasted ever so good. Checking the time, he saw that there was a lot of time between his date with Jennifer. So, he thought of inviting Caroline over so that they could hang out.

He opened his phone and texted Gloria, asking for her number. She sent the number with a death threat, saying that he shouldn't even try to look at another woman. To which he laughed and sent a picture of her giving him pleasure the night before.

Gloria was shocked to see that he had taken pictures. She hurriedly hid that photo so that it wouldn't get uploaded to the cloud.

Travis chuckled, then texted Caroline, telling her that she should come over. She was quite shocked that Travis had her number, then she remembered that Travis and her mom were friends.

Caroline: I'll come, but could I bring my friend? I had planned to spend the day with her.

Travis: Sure, only if it's a girl and she's cute and likable.

Caroline: Don't worry. You'll be shocked when you see her. Maybe you might even fall in love.

Travis: 😐

He left the chat and sat back on his couch. Turning on the TV, he watched some anime which he had been sleeping on since he came back. Sure, he had watched most of the content, but there were some animes that he hadn't seen, so it would be wise to start.

With Caroline, she entered the bathroom and took a nice quick shower. When she was done, she hurriedly went to her room and got an outfit to wear. She was really happy that she was going to spend the day with Travis, even though she'd be with her friend. Then again, this friend of hers would be very elated to see Travis since she has a crush on him.

At first, when she was still beefing with Travis, she didn't quite understand why she liked him so much, but now that they're friends again, she kinda sees his charm, even though she doesn't fully want to admit it.

She got dressed, and then texted her friend Hannah.

Caroline: Hey, we're going to be hanging out at Travis's place today.

Hannah, who was currently sitting on her bed watching Tiktok, saw the message and froze when she read it. She quickly opened her chat to confirm if she was dreaming or not.

'Did Caroline do this for me? Wow, she's such a good wingwoman. Wait? I'm going to Travis's house!'

The thought finally dawned on her, thinking of what would happen, how she would speak to him, or how he'd react if she accidentally tells him her likes.

'I should get ready.' She had a lot on her mind, yet she needed to get ready so that she wouldn't be late. One thing she didn't want him to think was that she was the type of girl who would take time during a date.

After 15 minutes, Hannah was all dressed up. She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled, feeling a bit confident in her look. Hannah ran out her house and on her way towards Caroline's house, they bumped into each other.

"Hey!" The two girls screamed in excitement as they hugged each other.

"It's been a while, hasn't it!?" Hannah asked.

Caroline nodded and said, "Yes, it has. I've really missed you. I'm honestly glad you took me back!"

Hannah touched her chest and pulled her back into a hug again. "I could never live without my best friend," she said.

The two of them had been friends since middle school. They were always together. They have had multiple sleepovers together and basically spent almost every day since they met together. Until early this year, of course.

After Caroline made up with her mom, she wanted to mend things with Hannah, who was very lonely due to not having a friend. So when she received the apology text, she sent her a video call, and they poured their hearts out to each other until they came to an agreement that they would never turn on each other again. Now, their friendship is much stronger due to them experiencing such a long break-up.

"So are we really going to hang at Travis's house?" Hannah asked as they walked side by side.

"Well, yeah. He texted me saying that he wanted to hang out together, so I thought why not? We all have a good time together. Don't worry, you won't change your mind about him. He's exactly how you thought he was, by the way," she said.

"Oh really? Well, let's not talk about that though. Tell me about your mom. How has she been lately?"

"My mom has been quite happy these days. I think she might have fixed things with dad because she's never been this happy in many years."

"That's great. I've always loved how positive your mother was, even when she was going through a lot. One of the things I admire about her. Is her family not bothering you anymore?"

"No, they're not. I heard that they're going through something at the moment, yet I'm not sure what it is really. My mom also doesn't know, or she would have told me. I'm just happy they don't bother us anymore," she said.

"Yeah, I mean, how long can they hold a grudge? It's been so many years since your mom and dad got married, yet they're still pissed. They're really petty," Hannah said disdainfully. Caroline giggled as she nodded.

"They really are, you know. Oh, we've arrived. Let's go and say hi to my mom first," she said. Hannah nodded, and they both went inside her house.

Gloria was sitting in her room reading a book when her daughter came in. Luckily, the aftermath from their battle the night before had been completely resolved.

"Mom, look who I brought," she said as she let Hannah enter. Gloria's eyes widened in shock. She got up from the bed and approached Hannah.

"How I've missed you, Hannah," she said, hugging Hannah who hugged her back happily.

"I missed you as well, Mother," she said.

Gloria smiled happily and kissed her on the forehead. "You've grown even more beautiful, it seems. You now look just like your mother. How's she been?"

"Busy as always, I guess, but fine," she replied.

Noticing the sadness in her tone, Gloria quickly changed the topic. "So where are you two headed?"

"Oh, we're going over to Travis's house to hang out. As a matter of fact, let's go now before it gets late," Caroline said. She pulled Hannah by the hand, and they both ran out of the house.

'Huh? Is Travis trying to cheat on me with my daughter? No, he's probably just trying to keep her mind occupied so that she doesn't think about her past. Yes, that's it.' The thought of Travis had her aroused again, so she hurriedly entered her room and locked the door.
