It must had really been hard for Hart. He had to suffer so very much challenges that not anyone could accept. That day, I fully understood the reason for his actions. If it had been me, I would have done more than that. But, what exactly would he had done. He had no one to support him. He had to grow up in pain. There was nothing he could do about it. He tried to pursue legal actions but none worked. It was really a pity that he had to go through a lot because of his family. Back then, I thanked the Lord for my own family. Despite coming from a very poor family, I was grateful to them for not giving me a bad experience. Despite all he had witnessed, he still worked hard. I respected him for that.
I held his hands, looked at him and told him that everything would be fine.
" To be honest, that sentence was what my mother used to tell my father whenever there is a problem. She would say that everything would be fine. Then, a satisfactory smile would come upon him. Even though he was suffering, the sentence would give him more relief. You have always asked me the reason, but I think it is high time I told you. No matter the circumstance, just tell yourself that I am okay, I am fine, things will work out, everything will be fine. The more you say those sentences, the more determined you will be. So, Hart, no matter what your grandfather would have done, he is still your grandfather. You can't change that, even in his death. It's fine. " I said in a consoling manner. I knew by that moment that all what he needed was that. Poor him!
"Secretary Mira, you seem to be have used this opportunity to be informal to me. " He replied smiling. I remembered that I spoke to him informally.
"I am so sorry sir. I was so moved that I thought you were my younger brother. I am so sorry sir. " I apologized trying to act cute.
"It's fine, I like it though. I love how you called my name. " He replied. I smiled then, but became serious after a minute. There was no way I would be happy after listening to his life story.
"You seem to have lived a great life. Your life is perfect. " He said. I believed he knew nothing about me. Even after telling him about how poor my family was, he still decided to conclude that I had a great life.
"You are really clueless sir. I hope you would not experience mine." I said. .
"Fine, I have never been poor. But, I have been with a lot of poor people. " He said.
"I am one of them right?" I asked smiling — showing off my white teeth.
"I didn't say that. Well, I don't think you are that poor. " He replied me as he held my waist. Anyone who saw us at that moment would think we were in a relationship. I didn't remove his hands because I liked it. He was hot! Nevertheless, I kept looking at him, trying not to understand that he had to face all those challenges.

As I went out of his office, I saw Mike. I ignored him basically but he called me by my name without a title. I was damn annoyed. I went to meet him to warn him of his constant behaviours.
"Mr Mike, let us get things right. It is quite inappropriate for you to call my name like that. I don't know who you are or why you are doing this. But, regardless of it, don't call me by my name any longer. In actual fact, you look younger than me. " I said ignoring the fact he looked familiar.
"Okay. I will do like you said. But, you look pretty today. " He said.
"That's it. I knew it. I mean if he likes me, he should have said so, then what the heck is he doing right now?" I thought.
"I know. " I replied as I walked away.
"She didn't even say thank you. She hasn't changed a bit. " He said to himself as he smiled, then he entered Mr Hart's office.
"Good day sir."
"How is things going with the book company? Have you found some trustworthy employees?" Hart asked as he wore his glasses which looked clearly new.
" We have found some. But, the problem is that we are yet to inform them. " Mike said looking focused.
"It was your idea. So, you should take care of it. That's the only specific thing you can do. Is that so hard? Let the work begin! By September, the book company would be chosen. This is April, man. Time waits no longer for us. " Hart replied coldly in a blunt tone.
"Yes sir. I will do my best sir. " Mike replied. Hart could be very challenging most of the times. The idea was brought up the day before, then, all works must be done the next day. Very strict!
"Not just your best, pick other people's best too, add it to yours, so your best will be better than any other best. " Hart replied. Sarcasm! He was always fond of that.
"What is he saying? " Mike thought.
"Yes sir. I understand. " He replied as he excused himself out of the office.
Quite disappointing but tough work began. I didn't rest at all. I had to make more researches on the Miami book company. It was really hard for me. But, I guessed no one else worked like Hart. I understood why he had to work that way, he had to protect his mother's only company. I was relieved that he was back to his normal self — workaholic! But, I believed he was sexy when working and that was why tons of girls fell for him. Maya just have been very lucky. She got to have every part of him. I thought that I will also be lucky. He confessed his love to me and that made me really lucky.

Karina on the other hand had nothing to do. She often didn't get clients because of her tough personality. She called me several times and asked me out for a drink but I declined because of work. I knew she must had been bored. But, I couldn't do anything than to work at that moment. But, Dave had just travelled to his mother's hometown. After the incidence, he didn't want to do anything any longer. Neither did he work nor play, he was down all through. While prosecutor Augustus had a lot of cases to work on. He had never been free after all.
But, what exactly would happen If they had nothing to do? That were lucky people than me, a secretary to a workaholic!
