They were all basically useless and weak in cultivation. Hence not counted for aid in battle. Plant King and Xiao were basically the last line of defense.

This lineup was devised by Wind. It went from weakest to strongest, with Qiang as an exception as he was needed to test the waters with the enemies. Lan was behind him for support and help in retreat. The ones behind them were cannon fodder to stall for time. If Plant King and Xiao fought at the very start; then if and once they died, the others would be taken by the storm and battle would end abruptly. Wind wouldn't reach in time. "Are we really going to surrender?" A nun asked.

Everyone's heart almost bled as Jiao hovered above Aerin's strategy bubble.

"Array breaker." Jiao spoke, pointing his palm towards Aerin.

"Array Breaker." Jiao said casually.

Boom! Aerin's head spun as she saw stars in her eyes and fell down on the ground as the strategy was destroyed, hitting her with a powerful backlash.

"R…restore…" Aerin mumbled weakly casting magic spell and immediately with a surge of magic in her body, her condition improvised and her wounds healed rapidly, restoring her to her peak status.
