Revenge of the half-demon cultivator on his second life.

Xie Ra was a stranger who suddenly appeared in the peaceful Yulong village out of nowhere. He had a hard time adjusting to his new environment. Being amnesic didn't make it easy for him. Under the wings of kind elder Mo Xing, Xie Ra started to believe his life would be fine from now on. But, fate seemed to have other plans. Sadly, One tragic incident forced Xie Ra to leave his village life behind. However, fate didn't stop playing with Xie Ra after this. He regained his memory and learned how unfortunate his previous life was. The innocent, childlike cultivator who just wanted to be a swordsman... What happened to him? How would he face the fact that he unjustly condemned and murdered by his own friends? Would he make peace with the fact that he was half-demon? A half-breed offspring of the ancient abyssal race? Would it be easy for him to build his cultivation crumb by crumb, from the mortal realm to above? He cannot forgive. He cannot forget. "They will pay for their sins." For the first time in his life, his smile became malicious. (PS: I don't own the drawing of the cover picture. I sadly couldn't find the artist. We need your help.

"Hey, the next one is mine. Do you understand? I can't let you have all the glory by yourself. Didn't you already kill four demon-spiders? Just think about the others."

Xiao Lan was bickering nonstop about how her colleague killed four monsters by himself as she only managed to kill two. The last one was HER PREY but, Xie Ra had to ruin her kill. She was angry.

Xie Ra chuckled slightly. It wasn't his fault that she was too slow. He knew she was angry about him killing the last monster. However, if he didn't kill it, it would attack her on the neck.

He never understood why women were like that. All he did was help her. Now, he was the criminal.

However, this hunt seemed to awaken his mischievous nature. He didn't feel mad with her. Instead, he wanted to tease her further.

"You are too slow, Xiao Lan. Just like a woman. So weak."

She got angry and unsheathed her sword. In the next instance, her sword was pressed to his neck.

"Be careful of what you say, young man. And remember, the next kill is mine." A slight victorious smile played on her lips.

Should he tell her that he saw when her attack was coming but remained still to give her some face?

Yet, He felt pity for her when he saw her victory smile. So he kept his mouth shut.

Instead, he answered her previous question in a mocking tone.

"Yes, Grandma, I understand."

For that, he earned a smack.

Weiming Zhao seemed to enjoy this bickering between two juniors. It has been a long time since he met juniors who were both fun and gifted. Even though he didn't laugh out loud, his jaws were hurting from smiling.

However, he was impressed with the skills of the two juniors. Especially the boy. He must be a born hunter. His sharp intuition always caught movements of the hidden monsters faster than an average disciple in his realm.

It would be a wonder if Xie Ra didn't have a good intuition. He hunted monsters and lived amidst the dangerous situation for so many years. Falling back to this path again gave him so much energy. His inner hunter was having so much fun after more than 20 years.

ksksks.

Weiming Zhao heard a small noise. He shushed the other two and listened carefully. However, he noticed that the juniors couldn't hear what he was hearing.

This wasn't right. The senior disciple got an uncomfortable feeling about this.

If these juniors couldn't hear the monster, that means the looming creature wasn't a low realm one. However, It wasn't usual for a high realm monster to appear in a safe zone either. These safe zones were chosen by the low realm monsters, as they wanted to live without meeting any high realm monsters.

Apart from everything, he was the only nascent in this group. The other three early-nascents of his hunting team went in another direction as he took both juniors to the safe zone for hunting. They would never guess a thing like this. He had to ask for help.

Weiming Zhao silently took the warning signal to his palm. If he couldn't take down this monster alone, he could hold down it until the others arrive.

Yes. There was a possibility that this enemy was weaker than him. However, if he waited to test the waters, it might be too late when they ask for help if their enemy was strong. All three would be dead when others arrive there to help them.

If they try to escape, it would be more dangerous. The monster could approach them easily as their guard would be lower while running away.

Weiming Zhao felt the presence of the monster a few feet away from them. He silently hoped that it would pass them without noticing. He tried to suppress his aura. It was a huge disadvantage that these juniors still didn't know how to conceal their aura like him.

The senior disciple signaled his two juniors to stay still. Then he tried to feel the movements of their opponent.

The monster was a spider. He felt the way its eight legs crawl slowly towards them. Then it stopped.

Hissss.

A low hissing sound escaped from it. Weiming Zhao knew there was no hope anymore. it detected them.

So, he jumped forward, away from the juniors, and released the signal. It escaped to the sky in a blink of an eye and exploded. Jade sword sect emblem gleamed in the night sky.

Meanwhile, the senior disciple screamed at his juniors, "Don't follow me, stay still."

The enemy was triggered by both light and sound. It felt the presence of some prey a moment ago but now they seemed to become a threat. It screeched and jumped to attack Weiming Zhao. The battle began.

The two juniors witnessed a feral fight between their senior and the monster. It was another demon spider. The purple and red streaks on its giant, midnight black body were glimmered under moonlight threateningly.

Even though this monster looked the same as the ones they killed before, they felt that this one was extremely powerful than the previous ones.

Xiao Lan wanted to help their senior but, Xie Ra stopped her. "Don't go. If we go it might hold Dage Zhao back. He can't fight well if he has to protect us too." She nodded and stopped even with her face wrinkled with displeasure.

Even the mid-nascent didn't have an easy time with this monster. However, Weiming Zhao's merciless strikes seemed to deal good damage to the monster. Many gashes were visible on its body from the other one's sword strikes.

But, all three realized this wasn't enough to kill the monster. They didn't even weaken it. This led the fighting swordsmen to summon his next weapon.

He raised his left arm into the air while striking the monster with his sword, using his right hand. A slight yellow beam emitted from his left arm. It grew bigger and bigger, finally condensing into a shape. A flag.

Xiao Lan looked bewildered while Xie Ra watched his senior with an awestruck face. "A *talisman." He mumbled. As soon as his colleague heard this, her confused expressions changed into a realization. Then she joined Xie Ra to watch their Senior in awe.

After summoning the talisman, Weiming Zhao's attackers seemed to be strengthened twofold. It visibly cut deeper in his opponent's skin making it weaker. However, it still was strong enough to fight back.

That was the moment their help arrived. Their other three team members jumped from the sky. Of course, they used their swords to fly here. These three early nascent joined the mid-nascent against the enemy.

It took a few minutes for them to successfully defeat their enemy who was in the late nascent realm.

******************

When the group of six arrived in their sect it was already the morning. Weiming Zhao went to his shizun along with his juniors, to give the full report of yesterday's incident. However, what they didn't expect was to see another stranger with Shi Wang.

The stranger was a mortal. His face mirrored the anxiety he was holding inside him. As soon as three disciples entered into their shizun's hut, he looked at them with curious eyes. They saw a gleam of hope hidden in them. Even Shi Wang seemed to notice this. So, he motioned his disciples to come in. Then he started to talk.

"This sir here is a merchant from Phoenix city. He carried a message here on behalf of the Phoenix sect. They are asking for an investigation team to inspect the secret murders ongoing in the city. I would like to make this a chance for these two juniors to learn about how to carry an investigation properly. So, what do you think about this Weiming Zhao?"

The senior disciple visibly brightened from this invitation. He bowed.

"I think it's a very good idea, Shizun. It will be an honor for us."

The stranger seemed to relax when he heard this response. He smiled and said,

"I'm grateful to Daozhang. Phoenix city is truly in need of help."

END OF PART TWO. LET'S MEET WITH ANOTHER INTERESTING STORY ARC IN THE NEXT CHAPTER.

*Talisman- Is an object ascribed with magical powers intended to protect, heal, or harm individuals for whom they are made. The talisman can forge by the cultivators who are in nascent or above realms. In this scenario, his talisman increased his attack, critical damage, speed and defense, as those were the attributes carried by it. However, this doesn't stop making him getting extra tired.
