A Dagger In Hand(1)

Behind the shower curtain was Ma Huiyan, who began lathering her body with soap from the shower stand. The sound of running water masked the entry of Ma Xin into the bathroom.

"Hey! Come here!"

Ma Xin soundlessly whispered to the nurse who stood outside the shower stall to keep an eye on the new mother.

"Okay."

The nurse a slightly petite woman in nicely pressed starchy white high collar blouse and pants with white clogs on her feet scurried to where Ma Xin stood by the door of the bathroom.

"Here! Give this to her to drink. Make sure she drinks it! If you succeed, I will wire the money as promised to your account!"

Out of the pocket of her pantsuit Ma Xin handed a small amber colored bottle to the nurse in a hushed voice.

"Nurse, is there someone in here with you?"

Ma Huiyan thought she heard an additional sound but not sure if she were hearing things, she decided to ask instead.

"Madam Ma, I'm the only one in here. Would you like me to massage your belly?"
