Jason was the strongest warrior in the world. Of course, that all ended when he was killed. But was he truly dead… This novel is on hiatus for the time being ---------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: the story does not revolve around the system No harem or any romance, I have no clue how to write that If the person who drew the cover wants it to be taken down tell me
After a few hours of walking the sun went down and it started to get colder. I needed to find shelter fast because I didn't know what type of beasts roamed the forests at night.
I stopped for a second to reposition the wolf pelt sack I had thrown over my shoulder then kept walking, this time a little faster.
After desperately running around for an hour trying to find shelter after hearing numerous blood-curdling shrieks, I finally found one. I looked up at it and groaned. It was about halfway up the side of a cliff.
I heaved the leather bag containing the steak and wolf pelt up on my shoulder and prepared to climb up the stone cliff. I looked at the face for a few more moments, double-checking the path I was going to take to the cave.
I walked up to the wall and started climbing. About halfway there my arms started screaming in pain but I ignored them and kept moving. To make things worse it started raining a few minutes later.
In a few seconds, I was soaked through and I hoped the same fate had not befallen the steak and the pelt I had in the bag.
I finally got into the cave and out of the rain a few minutes later but it felt like hours. I opened up the bag and sighed with relief when I saw that the steaks and the pelt were still somewhat dry.
However, I was far from dry. I took off the clothes and laid them on the ground hoping it would make them dry out quicker.
I decided to sleep and then in the morning search for wood to make a fire. I walked to the back of the cave and found a few blankets. I was too tired to realise why there were blankets here as laid down on them and fell asleep within seconds.
When I woke up it was still raining but nowhere near as heavy as last night. I sat up in the pile of blankets I had found yesterday and tried to figure out what was going on.
I froze then looked at the blankets I was sitting on. I jumped up then grabbed the claw dagger ready to defend myself if someone or something came out of the shadows.
After a few moments, I cautiously walked to the very back of the cave expecting to be jumped at by an orc. A few very tense minutes later I let out a deep breath and returned to the blankets and sat down.
I looked around for my clothes and walked over to them. They were a lot drier than last night but still damp. I put them on and shivered as some water that hadn't dried dripped down my back.
I walked back over to the blankets and wrapped myself up, desperate for some warmth. I looked out at the rain as I tried to figure out what was going on.
I was killed by Rhea then I was transported to a forest, it seemed that my stats had reset, I had a levelling system and now I was in an extreme difficulty tutorial.
I opened my status to see if I could out anything about my level and the other new additions.

I looked at it and tried to work out what it meant. Apparently I was level one and I needed ninety xp to get to the next level. "I wonder what happens when I level up?" "Is there a maximum level I can reach, similar to stats in my old world?" I had so many questions and so few answers.
I reached out to touch my status where the level was to see if anything would happen. Unlike other times, instead of the status feeling like it wasn't there at all my fingers met something solid.
"Bing"
"Well done to the host for discovering another feature of this wonderful system"
"To activate it, simply touch a part of your status you would like an explanation of"
I reached out and touched the part that said "level: 1"
"Explanation started: your level is a visual indicator of your current power level. Sometimes you will be able to earn rewards for levelling up. Due to a title you have gained, after each level up four stat points will be granted to the user, to use as they see fit"
"For one level up you will need a set amount of XP or experience points. XP can be gained from killing monsters, humans or completing quests. Note that the quest function is locked until level 50"
"There is no maximum level you can reach, it is the same with your stats. This is because there was a limiter on the current world which has been removed"
Note that when you reach a certain level up you will have the option to ascend or stay at your current level"
I looked at the massive screen of notifications, my head hurting after reading the amount of information.
I hesitantly reached out to my titles worried that I might get even more information than last time.
"Explanation started: your titles represent monumental achievements you have...achieved"
"Each title is unique and each title has a different effect. It has never been documented when two titles have been the same or had the same effect"
"That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be," I said to myself.
Next, I touched on the "inheritance" hoping to get some insight into what it was.
"Explanation started: inheritance is a gift bestowed only upon people the creator of the inheritance deems worthy"
"Inheritances range from simple ones to one made purely for war and fighting. The ranks of inheritances are as follows: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Celestial, Void, Infinity"
So it seemed the inheritance I had was the third-highest ranked inheritance. As I was looking at the notifications I noticed that the rain had stopped and the sun was shining.
I decided to head out and hunt to see if I could gain more XP or maybe find a few good weapons to help me survive.
