"Congratulations to the host for successfully controlling the Primordial Beast with his mind"
I stared at the screen in front of me. Through the screen I could see the shocked expression my face was making.
I tried to wrap my mind around what was happening. I was seeing through the eyes of the slime yet I was still controlling my body.
I tried to get my body to take two steps to the right and almost ended up falling into the lake. I quickly moved my body in the opposite direction and it crashed to the ground.
I attempted to move the body of the slime on its own and not my own body. I moved what felt like my arm and the slime wobbled to the side.
My vision flipped and the slime rolled on its head. Even though I was making some progress I couldn't get rid of the feeling from my body lying on the ground.
I closed my eyes and tried to visualise myself as a slime. As soon as I got the image in my head I laughed. All I saw was the slime with my head on top of it.
I recomposed myself and tried again. This time I was more successful and I could start to feel the body of the slime.
While picturing myself as a slime I visualised the slime moving to the side. I opened my eyes and saw a was a bit further to the left than I was a second ago.
I repeated this process until it was easy to conformably move around. I tried opening my eyes and doing it but failed every time.
I decided to take a break and realised I didn't know how to get back into my body. I tried to replicate the feeling I had when I got transferred into the slime.
After a few minutes of futility I decided to visualise myself in my body similar to what I was doing a while ago but with the slime.
It worked surprisingly quickly and I stood up and looked down at the slime. It jumped up onto my shoulder and stayed there.
I looked at it confused. When I was inhabiting it's body I didn't feel any resistance from any other being.
The being that was in the slime didn't seem to transfer to my body either.
I looked at the screen hanging above the slime and pressed it.
"Primordial Slime, level: 53"
"Explanation started: Slime are a species native to The Dead Lands in the western part of The Continent. There are many different types of slimes ranging from slimes used for healing and slimes used for poisoning"
"Slimes usually live from anywhere between 500 to 1000 years. There is rumoured to be a slime that is immortal but there has never been any evidence found that supports this theory"
"Slimes also range greatly in terms of appearance with some slime about the size of nail on a finger to slimes the size of mountains. The bigger the slime the longer it has lived for and the more powerful it is"
"There has never been any evidence of a slime being tamed and all attempts to tame a slime, regardless of type, have all ended in death"
I stared at the flurry of notifications in front of me and tried to process it all.
First of all, I was sure I wasn't anywhere in The Continent so I didn't know how a slime ended up here.
Another thing it said was that different slimes had different abilities. The slime currently sitting on my arm was black so maybe it had something to do with darkness or night.
It also said that the slimes age and power we determined by their size. I picked up the slime of my shoulder and held it in the palm of my hand. I frowned.
This slime was clearly powerful so why was it so small?
I stared at the last notification in confusion. So far all the information my status had given me has been correct so I didn't know why it said a slime could be tamed.
I had very clearly tamed one. I stopped and thought about it for a second. I assumed the status was talking about the tutorial I was in but there was also a possibility it was talking about The Continent.
Maybe you could do stuff here that you could do in The Continent. The more I thought about it the more I proved myself correct. I had never seen and orc camp before they were usually solitary creatures and the wolf I had encountered at the beginning was massive compared to the ones in The Continent.
After thinking about this for a while I noticed the sum beginning to go down behind the mountain in the distance. I rose to my feet and picked up the slime I had put on the ground a while ago.
Ultimately I decided to go back to the cave instead of sleeping out here, at least I knew the area around the cave and knew it was somewhat safe, around here I didn't know what it was like.
I set off in the rough direction of where I had come from and hoped it was the right way. Along the way I tried to transfer my conscious into the slime but failed all the time. It seemed at the lake it was just a stroke of luck.
A few hours of wandering around later I had finally found the cave again. This time there was no difficulty in climbing up, I practically jumped up the cliff.
I got I to the cave and took the firewood I had gathered out of the bag I piled it up close to the edge so the smoke wouldn't end up coming back into the cave and suffocating me in my sleep.
I grabbed the claw dagger and scraped it against the sword to produce sparks. A few seconds later the fire was blazing. I laid down next to it and wrapped myself in the blankets. Before I knew it I was asleep.
Sorry for no chapters the past week, I had exams but they are over now so I’ll start posting more chapters.
