I looked at my new stats with shock on my face. I looked down at the place on my arm where the slime merged with me.
"Bing"
My head snapped up to the notification panel in front of me.
"The host has been the first person to tame a Primordial Beast"
"Congratulations!"
My face fell as I looked at the notification. Sure I had tamed a cool looking slime and my stats had increased but that was all. There was no title that gave me a cool effect or anything like that. I
Almost as if my status was hearing me there was another notification.
"Bing"
"The host can now control the Primordial Beast with his mind"
I smiled. This was the overpowered ability I was looking for. To be able to control the slime while I was at level 20 and it was at 47 was ridiculous. I would have the power of a Primordial Beast at my fingertips.
I felt the tingling sensation on my arm again and the slime reappeared. I looked at it, unsure about what to do. In the end, I picked it up and put it on my shoulder.
I looked at it and I decided it needed a name. I racked my brains but couldn't come up with anything good.
I put it to the back of my head a looked for a way out of the camp.
I reached the wall and jumped, easily clearing the top.
"New strength is coming in handy already"
I jumped down off the wall and walked into the forest, off to look for firewood again.
I trampled through the dead branches littering the ground and thought about the creature on my shoulder.
My status said it was a Primordial level beast and that was the highest rank a beast could reach. I looked at it in confusion, surely it should be a higher level than 47 given it's the most powerful rank.
I poked it with my finger and it wobbled. I poked it again and wobbled.
"Is it not going to move?"
Almost like it read my mind it started to merge with me again. I left it, it was better to have the least amount of obstructions possible if I got into a fight.
After a few hours of walking, I had only found a few pieces of wood suitable for making a fire. While I was looking around I spotted more of the claw marks in the ground.
When I neared one the slime appeared out of nowhere and started shaking. I moved away from the mark and stopped. I moved closer and he started shaking again.
The slime jumped to the ground and started walking off. I walked after him, not knowing if this was the best decision.
The slime kept following the claw marks in the ground and the more we walked the closer they got together. The slime stopped and did a one hundred and eighty-degree turn, walking back in the direction we had come from.
I looked behind me cautiously. If it was a creature that caused the slime to turn back then I wasn't going to walk, I was going to run.
I kept following the slime until we reached the edge of the forest. I walked out from the trees and my jaw dropped. There was a massive mountain in front of us with a glittering lake at the foot of it.
The slime walked over to the edge of the lake then looked at me. I looked straight back at it, not knowing what it was trying to tell me.
It jumped up and down before walking around in a circle. After a few moment it jumped into the lake. I walked over and looked down into the water to see what was happening.
A few minutes later I got bored of looking so I sat down at the side of the lake. My gaze was drawn to the mountain in the distance. In a way it almost reminded me of the huge I saw saw in the void.
The feeling I got from it was the same, like I was an ant standing in front of the biggest mountain ever, which I suppose I was.
I thought I could see something halfway up the mountain but quickly dismissed the notion, nobody would be able to climb it.
I saw a ripple in the water in front of me and sat up. I slowly walked over to the edge of the lake, ready to defend myself if it wasn't the slime that reappeared.
A few ripples later the slime jumped out of the water and landed beside my feet. It wobbled and all the water flew of it straight onto me.
I stared at it as water dripped of my clothes. It stared back at me and jumped up and down. I sighed. Clearly I was not going to get an apology.
It was then something caught my eye about the slime. I looked at it closely in surprise.
"Primordial Slime, level: 53"
I looked at the screen floating in front of me in amazement. The slime had managed to gain six levels and I had no clue how it had acquired them.
Maybe it had something to do with the amount of time it had been in the lake for but I couldn't know for sure.
All of a sudden my vision flashed and I was looking at somebody's face. He had blonde hair that was roughly cut to his shoulder and piercing blue eyes. There was a scar along the right side of his face that narrowly missed his eye and another small car on his lip.
I saw his face widen in surprise and he stepped backwards. I noticed that there was a sword on his hip that looked awfully similar to the one I had found a few days prior. He was also wearing tattered leather armour that was dripping wet.
"Bing"
"Congratulations to the host for successfully controlling the Primordial Beast with his mind"
