Currently on hiatus. The powerful King of Sundar meets his end at the hands of greedy bastards who want his treasure. Thanks to a divine artifact that He had the fortune to find, the King survives and earns a chance at a new life as a young Lord 10000 years into the future. Characters artwork (more will be added) : https://imgur.com/a/HXBIMNb Upload rate: 5 chapters a week. Extra info. There will be a harem, but I want to keep it fairly small, with maybe only three girls because I want to be able to develop those characters. Chapter 23

Attending the first class

Siegfried walked out of the building and saw that lot of students were already walking the academy grounds.

Most students would stare at him for a moment before looking away while some would even offer a small bow.

There are few students in the elite class so they are well respected by the rest of the students. In part was because people knew that anyone in the elite class will become a powerful figure in the future and they wanted to get on their good side.

He did pick on many people murmuring something as He passed by, but was unable to understand what they were saying.

Siegfried decided to ignore them and make his way to his first class. He remembers the layout from yesterday's tour. Not that it was much difficult. There are five big towers surrounding the Headmaster's tower. Most classes take place in one of those.

He walked to the one called 'Tower of knowledge' where most theoretical classes took place, and also where the library is located.

He made his way to the second level of the tower, ignoring more murmurs and stares, and entered the classroom labeled as 'Beginner Magical Theory'.

Inside, were already three students. One was a guy with long black hair and deep blue eyes who smiled at Siegfried the moment He entered the classroom.

The next one was a girl with short brown hair and brown eyes. Well, He was almost sure that was a girl because she was by far the biggest girl He has ever seen. She wasn't really fat, but she could only be described as…big.

The third one, He did recognize. It was Charles Artois, He immediately narrowed his eyes when looking at Siegfried but said nothing.

He went and took a seat. The classroom was very big, with at least one hundred seats. But from what He knows, the elite class has always had less than ten students, so there is plenty of room to seat without having to be close to each other.

That's why Siegfried was surprised when the student with long black hair approached him and sat by his side.

"Greetings! I am Edward Aston. Rank A wind affinity user. Nice to meet you!"

Siegfried looked at his face, his smile seemed sincere enough. After being a ruler for so long, you get really good a judging people.

"Greetings, I am Siegfried Lancaster. You are from the Aston family, like…"

"The Headmaster?" Edward answered first. "Yes, that's my aunt! We are all very proud of her in our family. That will also make me very famous here. I may even get a girlfriend!" Edward said with enthusiasm.

Siegfried thought that He would have been famous regardless of his aunt. The Aston family is one of the three high-tier noble families, along with the Artois and Dalton families.

"I am sure you can accomplish your goals, Mister Aston."

Edward made a dramatic hand movement. "Oh!, none of that Mister business here. Call Edward or Ed if you want and I'll call you Siegfried in return. We are all the same in the academy, regardless of your family's importance."

"Very well, Edward. You can of course call me Siegfried."

The door opened again and two more students walked in, followed by a professor.

"Let's see, let's see." Edward leaned forward. He looked at the first student, a very innocent-looking girl with long blonde hair and green eyes.

"That beauty is Iria Monet, I think her affinity was water, like the rest of her family."

He then looked at the other student, a short girl with shoulder-length purple hair and hazel eyes. But the most curious feature was the thin sword she was carrying on her hip.

"Iris Castel. Her family is very famous for their incorporation of wind magic with sword techniques. Iris however was born with fire affinity, making her a bit of an outcast in her family."

"How can you know so many details about the students already?" Asked Siegfried.

"Of course, I don't have information about every student. But, as you know, affinity tests are performed in noble families before attending the academy. And the information always leaks. So I made sure to learn about my future classmates. I have a lot of information about everyone in this class…except for you and the one that should arrive soon."

'So, He doesn't have much information on me because I had a B rank affinity during my previous test…I wonder if that is related to all those stares.'

Siegfried decided not to think about that for now and instead looked at their teacher.

The teacher was actually a very familiar old man…Quentin.

"Tks…we have one of those failures as our teacher?. We are supposed to be the elite class!" Charles didn't shout, but it was loud enough for everyone to hear him, including Quentin, who didn't seem to mind his comment.

"What does He mean by failure? He seems like a very educated man" Siegfried didn't understand Charles's reason to be offended.

"When one is about to advance from apprentice Magus to an Official Magus, they must engrave a magical circle into their soul. This process can fail, sometimes, nothing really bad will happen and the apprentice can try again…but sometimes they will suffer permanent damage that would prevent them from ever becoming an Official Magus. We call those, eternal apprentices or peak apprentices. But some people like Charles like to call them failures." Edward explained.

"But this class is purely theoretical. Who cares if He is a Magus or not? Only his knowledge matters." Claimed Siegfried.

Edward didn't disagree and just shrugged his shoulders like saying 'what can you do?',

The door opened once more.

"Ah, our last student is finally here!" Said Quentin with a smile.

Siegfried was a bit surprised by their last addition. It was the same girl He saw leaving the tent right before his affinity test.

The girl with striking silver hair. He could now see her face, she was truly beautiful with a pair of mysterious-looking yellow eyes. With the addition of the pristine white robes, she looked like some sort of fairy that just came out of a fantasy book.
