Surprise

As the emperors voice fades, the doors open and in walks, Princess Aiolta, Grand Magister Galterc, and a man in a military uniform. Princess Aiolta is wearing a blood-red dress with her family's coat of arms on her shoulders as well as a coronet made out of what looks like Ruby's. The entire red attire goes well with her eyes, and her hair is left to flow down her back. Grand magister Galterc wears what looks like a business suit in a light color of red, almost looks pink the color actually denotes ones status in nobility for them the darker the color the higher the status also red is the imperial family's color and Aiolta is a 1st rank Princess being the daughter of the current ruler of the empire. The military man to the left looks to be a general by his badge of office and is carrying a black box. As they walk to the throne, Aiolta sees Reed and flashes a smile at him. Reed smiles back, and Crystal gives the princess a nod before they reach the dias. Princess Aiolta walks up the steps to the throne and gives the Ezail salute to the Empress before walking to beside and a little in front of where the crown princess sits, then turns so the crowd can see her and then starts to speak.

"One month ago, the cooperation between our empires ended, and it did not end on a good note, but now, one month later, our empire will now give an answer to your emperors demand."

As she finished talking, she motioned to the general, and he walked up the steps, then knelt in front of the emperor, and offered the opened box. The emperor looked in the box, then reached in and pulled out a severed head, the severed head of Grand Duke Inona himself. He then put the head back and took the box and gave it to a servant who came at his beckoning.

"My mother thought about it and decided to give you what you asked for as it also gave us a chance to investigate his family's latest acquisitions. I'll just say this Grand Duke Inona's entire family has been put to death, and those that got away are now being hunted down for crimes against the empire and the Republic of Sentient Planets as such they will not bother you anymore. Also, my mother has decided to give you the planet that we had our cooperation on since it is close to your system as well as 3 months from now in the next council session my mother will petition that your empire get a seat on the council as well as this memory cube that has the technology of the ships we used to transport your people and it is our hope that we can continue cooperating in the future."

After her presentation, there is clapping and even cheering from the assembled nobles.(If you're curious, everyone really hated Inona, especially after the dragons bane incident) The Empress let the clapping and cheering go on for a while as she was also angry about the dragons bane incident. Then, as the clapping wound down, the Empress spoke.

"We thank the Ezail empire for their gifts and accept them. We would also like to thank you and your mother for taking this problem seriously and agree that our empires should continue cooperating moving forward."

After she spoke, the clapping started up again but wasn't as loud or long as the last time. Then the emperor stood up and nodded to his wife, then motioned at the door. Then, a woman in the imperial knights ceremonial attire walked in, holding a sword in both hands, walked to the throne, and presented the sword to the Empress who stood up and accepted the sword. The sword itself was long and encrusted with many jewels, and its hilt was made entirely out of dragonspar dimond. Reed took one look and knew it was for ceremonial purposes.

"General Martin Getlset, please come forward."

Reeds' father is a bit surprised but steps forward and walks up the steps. Then the imperial knight spoke.

"Take a knee."

Reeds' father goes down on one knee and bowed his head.

"Martin Getlset for continues meritorious service to the empire as was your great actions during the war with Grand Duke Inona, and your continues service in the last mission I now grant you the title of marquis as well as all the rights and privileges this title grants and I must say in my opinion this title is a poor reward for your many services to the empire as such I will also grant you right to choose your land from our new world. Congratulations, Marquis Martin Getlset stand and be recognized."

Reeds' father stands, and before he turns, the imperial knight places a cape on him, a cap that has the Getlset coat of arms with a marquis border around it. He then turns, and the nobles clap and cheer. However, throughout this entire process, Reed watched Grand Duke Shira, and the look on his face was fury, but unknown to him, Reed noticed 2 imperial knights behind Lord Shira watching his every move It looks like both the Emperor and Empress were tired of Lord Shira getting in the way of this particular announcement. As Reeds father steps down and returns to his spot, the Empress spoke again.

"Reed Getlset, please step forward."

Reed is stunned by this announcement, and he stays in place long enough that he gets a shove by his father but after that he gets with the program and walks up the steps and kneels in front of the Empress as she continues.

"Reed Getlset, even though as an alchemist, it was your job to look through the newly acquired herbs to find those both helpful and harmful, we acknowledge that if you hadn't studied said herb and warn us we would all be diagnosed with dragon slayer sickness and the empire may have fallen as such this we give you. As your father's eldest son, even if you weren't born from a noble mother, we grant you the right to inherit your fathers title and though at this time you're still a student in the academy when you graduate 2 years from now we will give you the right to aquire land from the world's we have already conquered at that time or you may take some Wings from the Wings of Havoc to conquer a new world. Of course, this conquering of world's are only the world's where no intelligent life has been found. You may step down."

As Reed turns to step down, he finds Lord Shira stepping up to speak, but the Empress beat him to it.
