"Hubby do you think that Amara is mad at me?" Lacey asked her husband who was seated next to her. They had left South Africa and they had now landed in Columbia. Columbia was where her husband's parents lived and they were here to see them. "Why would you think that?" He asked. "Well I asked kitten to tell her to call me back when she wakes up four days ago, but she hasn't called me yet." She said. "Well maybe, your little kitten forgot to tell her, but there is no need for you to worry I am sure that she will call you." He said. "How are you so sure that she will call me? Maybe she had an argument with kitten." She said. "Let's not think about them now okay, we will visit them some other time." He said. "Okay fine." She said sighing.
After a while they both arrived at his family's mansion. They got out of their car. It was just like it was before nothing had changed, it always had that welcoming feeling. There was a pavement that led to the front aluminum door and on their left side there were wax palm trees that were close to each other and on the left side there was a beautiful garden that mainly consisted of roses and lavender flowers. Today was a sunny day and the temperature was just average not too hot and not too cold, just average enough to stay outside for the whole day. But the Royce family always stayed indoors. It was just how they were. Lacey and her husband walked towards the big white mansion. They opened the huge aluminum doors in front of them anad they walked in towards the living room. The living room was decorated in black and gold, the walls were black, the ceiling was black and gold, the lights and chandeliers were gold, the leather couches were black with a small glass table in the middle, the carpet on the floor was black and gold. "Charles!" A woman came running down the stairs, she looked like she was in her 20's, she had long blonde hair, blue eyes, cupid bow lips, she was mascular. She spent most of her time in the gym. She was a netball player, a gymnastic and a wrestler. She loved doing what she does, a lot of people used to call her a man and that no guy would want to be with such a woman but she didn't care, she just liked the way she looked and she did not care if guys approached her or not. She ran quickly and she huged Charles. "como estas hermano?" The woman asked. She was one of his cousins. Her name was Emma. "Emma I thought that we agreed not to speak in Spanish in front of my wife because she can't understand it." He said. It was not like Lacey could not learn Spanish she just did not want to, she hated Spanish for some reason. "Okay I won't, I couldn't sleep last night knowing that you are coming, hey I thought that Ian and his new wife were coming." She said looking behind Charles and Lacey. "Well, we didn't tell them. They will come some other time okay, why are you still in your pajamas at this time." He asked looking at her, it was 1:05pm. "I just woke up, your parents are at the roof top garden and gossiping and my parents just went out, your sibling are not here as usual and my siblings have gone out too." She said. "Why did you not go with them?" Charles asked. "Well I wanted to be the first one to see you guys, I haven't seen you guys in ages." She said. "Lacey how have you been." She said looking at Lacey, who was wearing black long jeans, a black strapless t-shirt, a long black jacket and long back boots. Her haur was curled and tied into pigtails. She had applied a black lipstick and she was chewing a bubble gum." Why are are dressed black, like you are going to a funeral.?" Emma asked. "OH well, maybe it's your funeral. Am I not allowed to wear black clothes because you are here." Lacey said. They both did not get along well, they would only pretend to get along in front of the elders. "That is not what I said, are you planning on killing your husband so you can have all his assets." Emma said. "Of course I am, I am really tire of his annoying ass so yes I am going to kill him, the reason I am wearing black clothes today is that I want to practice being a widow. Well you won't know what it feel like because you will die alone." Lacey said with a smirk on her face. Charles shook his head, he knew how this two women were so he was not surprised."I don't care about ending up single but at least I don't marry people for their wealth." Emma said. She believed that Lacey only married him for his wealth because he refused to marry the girl that his family chose for him,and that she had blinded him with her fake love for him but Lacey didn't care about what Emma thought about her. "At least I will become wealthy when he dies." She said. "Hubby come on let's go and greet mommy in law and daddy in law, I don't have time to deal with this annoying cockroach." She said. "Hey who are you calling a cockroach?" Emma asked furiously. "Hubby let's go." She dragged her husband upstairs. The left the fuming Emma alone shouting and cursing Lacey.
After a few minutes they both got to the roof garden. Charles's parents were sitting on the chairs enjoying their tea. His mother, Valentina had brown eyes, cupid bow lips and smooth white skin. She was wearing a long yellow long sleeve dress. His father Marcos had icy blue eyes, and a soft skin. Both their hair was grey. They had grown old but they refused to be called old they still believed that they were young. "Mother, father we are here."Charles said and his mother looked up, and she raused her eyebrow as soon as her eyes landed on Lacey'Whay is she wearing black today and a black lipstick, oh well it is non of my business. 'She thought to herself. "It is good to have you both here, come sit with us and have tea. Hey where are my grand children and my new granddaughter in law?" she asked. "Dorothy has classes this week, and we did not inform Ian and his wife. But we will make sure that they come visit you soon." Charles said. "How have the two of you been." Marcos asked, he was wearing a blue suit. He was a businessman as well but he was planning on retiring but he was not sure who his next successor would be. But his wife told him that Charles was fit for the job since his company ranked number four in the world's most successful companies. But Marcos said that he would have to think about it. "We have been doing great we were in south Africa..."He was cut off before he could finish talking by his mother. "Wow really, south Africa? I have always wanted to go there, please tell me it is as beautiful as people say it is." She said like a little girl who had just gotten her gift for Christmas. "It is more beautiful that what people describe it to be, we even saw the African penguins and we visited the table mountain, and some other places, but we spent most of our time in Cape Town." Lacey said. "Really? OMG, honey we have to go there too when you get time off, I want to see that place myself, it has always been a dream of mine but I just do not have time because of my busy hubby." She saud in a dramatic way. "Mommy in law, just force him to if he doesn't want to and you have to make him give himself some time off." Lacey said. "You are right dear, if he doesn't want to then I won't mind dragging him there." She said. Lacey and Valentina had a lot in common and they both got along so well. And that made Charles's sister in laws to be jealous of her because they didn't know how to become friends with Valentina, Lacey didn't have to put much effort they just got along naturally. "So tell us when is Ian and his new wife going to give us grandkids" Marcos asked. "Ian said soon, we don't know we'll just have to wait for them to finally give us the good news." Lacey said. She couldn't wait for the day that Ian calls and tells her that she is going to be a grandmother and he us going to be a dad.
