Team battle

A group of people were within a less restrictive space that had been lit by several torches and lanterns, each of them had one or two Pokemon walking by their side as they patrolled the area or were carrying put some important task within.

Occasionally they would go towards a box and would remove a small cylinder shaped object before placing it near one of the walls.

After lighting a fuse, a small explosion would take place and those working by the side had flinched upon hearing the loud bang.

They seemed familiar with it and they were not disturbed for long so they went back to work right away.

They occasionally sent fearful looks towards the people that wandered around freely and the Pokémon that followed them.

The wall that had been hit by the small explosion had a hole created and the surrounding rocks had loosened up or fell down into a large pile.

It was more obvious who were the captors and who were the captives due to the roles they took on and their overall attitudes in those situations.

Those who caused the explosion had not went near the box again and ordered the others to begin clearing the area. "Get moving."

They spoke to those people like they would to a slave and stood back to watch as others did the more difficult tasks.

A smaller group gathered and said to each other. "There have been no reports in some time. Should we hurry things along?"

"No, we cannot be too careless and draw too much attention to ourselves. If we try to move things along quickly, the noise will travel further and alert others closer to the entrances. If we carelessly use the explosives then the merchandise could be damaged."

They had been digging up all kinds of things and some had been damaged by the small explosions but they had been able to get to a larger amount of stones and fossils that were deeper inside.

If they chose to use every explosive and set them off then the noise created could be heard outside, the damage could cause the surroundings to cave in and more of the things they were trying to get to would be damaged.

They were not paying too much attention and did not respond quickly enough as a smaller figure dashed inside the space then grabbed onto the box.

The clothes of Kimi were darker which aided her in not being seen during the initial moments of her entry.

Before they had a chance to respond, there were bubbles and water flying towards each of them.

The box was opened and some water filled it up before it was sealed again which caused the explosives and their fuse to be unable to be ignited.

It was placed on the ground near the wall and a Pokémon ran towards her to subdue her, the moment that it was in the air after leaping, vines grabbed onto and restricted it.

Another was hit by a wave of invisible energy in mid air so Kimi was well protected.

Two gym leaders, two officer Jennys and a couple more people had appeared and threw out Pokéballs further into the space which had been given commands.

"Ah.. quick. Quick!"

"There is no exit."

"What do we do?"

"Oh my! Someone has come to save us!"

Even if the Cerulean Gym owners who were the four sisters had not many useful Pokémon, they still summoned some Shellder and Seel which had been staying in the pool within their gym. "Water gun! (Bubble!)

They had many Goldeen but it was the least suitable to be brought unto a rocky area with little water around where it could swim within and attack from more effectively so one Seel and three Shellder were brought by the sisters.

Even if they were lacking in capable combat Pokémon that they could use to effectively carry out their duties as gym leaders, they had enough lower level water types to provide support to the battle.

Any fires which had been lit by Pokémon or people were hit with bubble or water gun to extinguish them and prevent the flame moves from triggering an explosion during the battle.

Any kind of potential dangers that could happen were targeted from the beginning and another more experienced gym leader had made his move to contain the falling rocks.

Onix fit in the open space and blocked the path of others trying to get to the less secure areas where explosions had happened and where people had been digging.

Many had been protected by its strong body but it could not aid in the battle due to its larger size and the potential damage it could do.

Brock shouted put. "Geodude! Use tackle!"

Geodude rushed towards the first enemy and slammed its body into them then continued to do so once it had been able to back off and regain some room to charge its target again. "Geodude!"

Its opponent that was difficult to properly make out had wished to respond with their own attack but did not get that far.

A Cubone leapt up into the air and raised a bone club before bringing it down on them. "Cubone!"

Poliwag shot out water towards one that were attacking the four sisters which was followed up with another wave of psychic energy from Espeon.

Vine Whips were sent out from Tangela to provide additional support to those fighting and the battle was coming to its final conclusion.

The environment and certain conditions were not suitable for Growlithe and Ryhorn to help out due to them causing the explosives to be ignited or causing enough damage to the surroundings to cause the rocks nearby to fall but Kimi did feel that it was a shame they missed out on gaining some additional experience when they would be involved in more tactical fights with other trainers against many opponents.

The surroundings were blocked off, the Pokémon that were out had been targeted early by Kimi, Brock and the four sisters of the Cerulean Gym which left the others open to target their trainers and their remaining Pokémon that they tried to summon in a hurry.

Not many got the chance to do so due to a Squirtle belonging to Officer Jenny of Cerulean City that had an excellent shot using the water it shot out and the vines of the Bulbasaur that belonged to Officer Jenny of Pewter City.

Additional support came from others that joined and every one of the Pokémon had been subdued or defeated to the point of fainting.

The battle was very one sided due to them being attacked first but they were never truly the main threats that needed to be worried about the whole time.

Those they had paid to protect them and the area were the main threats but Kimi had already dealt with them on her own using certain sneaky tactics against them.

The only real threat that came from those that remained was their potential to cause the caverns to collapse and the explosives to be ignited but once those had been solved, they were quickly defeated when it came to a multiple team battle.

Kimi watched as Espeon returned to her side along with the others and patted them to praise them for their excellent work. "Good job!"

They each showed joy upon receiving praise then jumped up onto her body to show their affection.

"Espeon!"

"Cubone!"

"Tangela!"

"Poliwag!"

Others were busy with their official duties but could not help but look over to see the scene of their close bond and each of them had their own thoughts about Kimi whether it was seeing potential in her or igniting their desires to pursue their own dreams.
