I was wrong though, just then the sweetest sound was from Xiao Nai voice in my ear saying.
"I've got you, Fei Fei, and you're going to be just fine," He said.
Yes. Xiao Nai called me, Fei Fei just like all Mu families called me.
"My arm hurts," I told him through tears.
"I know, sweetie," He consoled me.
"I heard a noise…like a cracked. Does that mean the bone was broken?" I wailed.
Xiao Nai then picked me up and shouted something to my brother, the anger in his expression darkening his eyes to a frightening black as he eyeballed the two who'd caused my injury. I wouldn't want to be either one of those idiot boys, confirmed by what I found out a day later.
Xiao Nai stroked my hair and sat with me until the doctor could cast my arm. And then when he set the bone. The bone setting hurt, but the gentle reassurance and soft touch of his hand on my hair almost made it cancel out.
