Chapter 35 Snobbery

Melvin stood at the side without saying a word, staring at the document in front of Lilyana.

What is this? thought Melvin.

Lilyana also wondered the same. She did not immediately pick it up to check but asked, "What is this?"

"See for yourself." Oscar showed her a kind smile.

Lilyana picked it up. After reading the contents of the document, she put it back on the table again. "Oscar, Bertha, I can't take this."

Oscar and Bertha were going to pass one of their houses to Lilyana.

How could she accept it?

The Moran family had already sold its house to pay off their debts.

Now that the house had been demolished, Lilyana had no reason to accept any compensation.

Oscar looked at her seriously. "Melvin had the Moran's house torn down. After your father gets out of prison, he needs a place to stay, doesn't he? Just take the house."

Bertha also persuaded, "Yes, just take it. Sign your name at the end of the document."
