Chapter 418 Public Duty and Private Feelings

Gloria didn't move.

Kristina looked over at her phone, frowned at the caller ID, and then looked at Gloria. "Please excuse me, I have to take this."

Gloria nodded her head.

Kristina then answered the phone.

Gloria was unable to hear the other party.

Kristina turned pale. Gloria's brows twitched as she wondered if anything went wrong with Kristina's son.

It can't be Corey. What is going on?

"I see."

Kristina hung up the phone.

Puzzled, Gloria looked over and asked, "Was it your son?"

"No."

Gloria was relieved. In fact, she wasn't 100% sure about Corey's promise.

Kristina said in an awkward voice, "Miss White, I… may need a favor from you."

She was a straightforward person, but it didn't mean she could remain that way when she asked someone for a favor.

Gloria was surprised. "Tell me about it. I'll do my best to help you."

"Help me win a lawsuit."
