When he returned to the bedroom, Gloria went to the couch and opened the bag.

It turned out to be a cell phone case with a box of ointment underneath.

Feeling somewhat surprised, Gloria took out the ointment box and found it was for the bruise. She looked a bit startled. At the banquet, she lifted her gown to show him her legs.

But she wondered why Jordy would be so thoughtful.

Gloria left the ointment behind, inserted the SIM card into her new cell phone and headed to her bedroom, where she could call Irene.

The call was put through almost immediately.

"Gloria?"

Gloria's eyes twitched. "Irene, my phone fell into the water and was damaged. I just got a new phone."

"What was going on?" asked Irene with concern.

"I don't know exactly. Someone pushed me into the water while I was chilling out in the open."
