CHAPTER 4: REJECTION

"Get dressed!" He said coldly and I started to wonder what happened to him all of the sudden. 

"Hunter what's wrong?" I asked him.

"Just get dressed." He said again this time his tone colder than the last.

"What's wrong Hunter why are you not looking at me?" I questioned him.

"Did you really think that I would take you as my Luna and mate." He said without even looking at me.

"But you told me… We just…"

"We what slept together! Did you really think that just because we slept together, I would take you as my mate." He said as he picked up his pants.

"Are you that naïve to believe that I would take you as my mate. I have hated you for all these years did you really think that a mate bond would make love all of the sudden." 

"Hunter!"

"What do you think that I would take a pathetic wolf like you as my mate." 

"But we just…" I said but he stopped me in my tracks.

"I know what we did. Did you think I would be impressed if this was your first time, or if I am your first man. What we did was just me testing if you can satisfy me." He spoke.

"Satisfy you?" I questioned.

"Yes testing! I wanted to see if I could keep as a mistress."

"Mistress… But I am your mate."

"Did I mark you, I just slept with you." I touched my neck, and he was right he didn't mark me.

Although I was his actual mate as long as he didn't mark me no one would ever know that we are mates unless he says it, and if I said it no one would believe me.

"I thought if you were at least even good you could have been my mistress but guess you can't satisfy my needs, so why would I want to be with you. Act like this never happened and never tell anyone because I will deny it." He said and turned around to look at me.

"I Hunter future Alpha…"

"Hunter no!"

"I Hunter Gregory Watson future Alpha of the Red Moon pack reject you Ariana Allison Carter as my Luna and mate." With that being said he left.

I watched as he left me on the floor clutching my chest as the pain of the rejection became unbearable, it was as if someone had a knife and was cutting my heart in half. I have never been so ashamed in my entire life, I thought that he had really accepted me but what he showed me was that I was more fooling than ever to actually that he would take a pathetic wolf like as his Luna.

He was right, I was pathetic I couldn't shift despite having a wolf, but it was not my fault my parents made me promise to never shift after my first shift and they grew colder than they ever were. They made sure I never trained, never ate enough food which was why I always looked as if I was sick. 

The pact never allowed to train with them and made their personal maid, I would have to get up from 4am in the morning every day to do the household chores before going to school at 7:30 to receive more torture. I got up and picked up my clothes and wore them and decided to home to wash his scent off me.

I had to be quick cause if Eve were to smell his scent on me then I am sure that I would be dead for sure this time. Since he didn't mark me, his scent will not be mixed with mine. After I was done washing up, I went downstairs and started to prepare the dinner after all when the pack gets home, they want to find a hot meal laid out on the table.

I still can't believe that he actually rejected me, no let me rephrase that I can't believe that I was stupid enough to sleep with him, but then again this wouldn't have happened had not my wolf taken over and actually sleep with him only to rejected by him the next second. Now I know the pain that people always spoke about you feel when your mate rejects you, but it was rare for wolves to reject their mate. 

"Hey Casey!"

"Hey Ari, what's wrong?" She asked me.

"He rejected me!" 

"What!"

"Well, I can't say that I didn't see it coming but…"

"But?"

"We mated!" 

"You what!"

"Shh keep it down I don't want anyone to know." I said while removing my hand from her mouth.

"So did he mark you or something." She asked.

"No but we slept together and then he rejected me afterwards." 

"Wait, like you guys finished, and he rejected you." She asked and I nodded. 

"You know what I always knew that he always a jerk, but I never expected him to go this far."

"I am to blame I was naïve to think that would take as his mate."

"Don't blame yourself."

"But he is right I am pathetic, I can't shift, I can't fight."

"You are not pathetic."

"I am!"
