Prologue...? Na- Beginning(EDITED)

Kep settled down in bed as his sister tucked him in. He was 18 now but he complained 'he was just 18!' so much he managed to convince her one last time

'But I'm not doing it again!' she repeated.

'I know' He sagged back, closing his eyes for a nice rest.

When he woke up it was still dark, in some kind of liquid. He tried to get out but this shell of sorts was not letting him come out. Kep felt 5 other new limbs, two new legs for sure the others he did not know. He started to feel guided and claustrophobic, he needed out, so he pushed on the wall as hard as he could, repeated until he felt a crack, then an opening. He was out, finally free, and when he looked around, he stared straight at a shocked Deathsong.'Little one? Why have you hatched so early?' the female Deathsong cocked her head and said with a calm and gentle tone. 'Maybe... I am Sephra, your caretaker, but not your real guardian. You are here because I found you, it'd be cruel to leave an egg to fend for itself.'

He tried to say 'What? What egg? How did you find me', but all that came out was soft coos.

'Curious, Aren't you, little Zero? You'll need a night's rest if you want your voice to come out...' Sephra purred curling up around him. He had realized how tired he was when she curled up around him, her warmth was like a lullaby lulling him to sleep.
