The Academy's Test

As Ray used Mana sense he could feel, see, hear everything that was in a 100 meter radius as his mastery of Mana sense was not that high yet.

'T-this, this is insane even back on earth I never used something like this since our understanding of mana was not advanced enough for things like this.' Ray stuttered as this was his first time doing some like like this.

But soon the information that Ray's brain was getting from using Mana sense overflowed it causing Ray to have a headache for a while.

"Master Ray? Are you okay?" Lance was worried as he could see Ray suffering.

"Y-ye I just tried using mana sense."

"So your mastery of mana is already that high, normally I heard it takes a mage 20 years of studying mana to use it." The warrior sitting beside Lance said.

"You still haven't stated your name and yet you talk like you have no respect to Master Ray?" Lance said as he tried to educate the warrior.

"Oh I apologize then my name is, Gert." The warrior said with a sarcastic tone.

"Well then "Gert" why don't you get out of the carriage and walk as you are disrespecting Ray."

"Guys shut up." Ray said with an annoyed tone.

Both of them stopped at what they were doing.

"Anyway what about you, what's your name?" Ray asked the other warrior.

"Piln, my name is Piln Young master Ray."

"See, that's how you should talk to me, Gert, Lance can talk casually with me since I told him to but sometimes he doesn't follow my order."

"Anyway, Piln are we close to the Fraux Academy already?"

"We're almost there but me and Gert can only escort you until we reach the gate since outsiders other than personal guards or knights can enter the academy with the student."

'This guy knows quite a lot, it's suspicious but that means I can't be sure if he's telling the truth, I guess we'll just see.'

And finally after 3 days of travelling they finally reached the best magic academy in the empire, Fraux academy.

And as they saw the Fraux academy it was more Brilliant than they could've ever thought even though it was an academy it looked like it was bigger than most cities it had an abundant amount of mana that was even more dense than when Ray was in the city and when they arrived there the streets in the academy were filled with students waiting to see how amazing this year's entrance exam would be sinc they heard that almost all the geniuses were going to take the exam today.

"Young master Ray this is as far as we can go." Piln said.

"Yes, you should go back to the village for now, if I ever need your help I'll go there."

"We sincerely thank you, Master Ray."

"Wait, how are you guys gonna go back? If you go back by foot it will take sometime until you reach the village."

"Don't worry Master Ray even though we're not knights our stamina surpasses that of an advanced one."

"Well if you say so you may go now."

And as both of the warriors walked away Ray had to now take the entrance exam while Lance spectated him.

Ray then approached an arena that was named "Fraux Arena" as this was were the physical exams were going to be, but Ray who was about to enter it was stopped by two guards.

"State your name."

Ray then answered immediately.

"Ray Grandfell."

When both the guards heard this they didn't believe Ray at first.

"Kid, stop lying if you wanna take the exam say your real name."

Ray then used his sun elemt to show both the guards that he was actually Ray Grandfell as there was only 1 person in this time that had the sun Element and when Ray used it a bright yellow sphere floated on his right hand as even though it wasn't directly in front of the guards they still felt like their face was about to melt.

"T-the sun Element??" One of the guards said bewildered that this was actually Ray Grandfell.

"We apologize for not recognizing the empire's greatest genius." Then as now they have confirmed that it was actually Ray they allowed him to enter the arena.

"Wait first wear this it's a device that teleports someone if they're in grave danger we gave it to all the participants so that if they're injured they can instantly teleport to the infirmary." Then they gave Ray a black round object that he could wear on his chest.

And when Ray entered the arena he saw hundreds or even thousands of spectators observing them from above and as he saw at least a hundred people at the center he immediately knew that they were also test takers.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN AS ALL THE TEST TAKERS HAVE NOW ARRIVED AFTER THERE ARE ONLY TEN PEOPLE LEFT ONLY THEN WILL THE TEST END AND NOW LET IT BEGIN!!" A voice echoed throughout the arena.

And after the test takers heard this they immediately started to fight as multiple explosions were everywhere and the elements clashed.

"This will be easy." Ray then used "sun" as a miniature version of the sun formed in the air and all the test takers and the spectators were stunned at the sight of someone capable of doing this.

"Is that Ray Grandfell? I did hear that he was going to take the exam as well. " The people spectating them were now only focused in Ray.

"Don't worry I won't bring down "Sun" yet or else this will be too easy."

"Hey, you're Ray right?" A female voice asked from behind Ray.

"Yes, and you are?" Ray asked as he turned around and saw a blue haired girl and had blue eyes as well.

"Bell Grandise."

"Oh? The ice goddess?"

"Yes, and I request a duel with you."

And as some of the spectators saw this they were now even more focused on the fight that was about to happen between the greatest geniuses the empire has birthed.

"Sure, but give it your all because if I get bored I'll bring down the sun."

'Does he mean that insanely huge sun sphere that he made?'

"Then we may start." Ray said.

And as both of them flew towards each other with Ray's sun Element clashing with Bell's Ice Element other people nearby were knocked out as both of them fought with all their might.

'I'm guessing that Bell is most likely a 5th circle mage as well but she has no chance against me.'

'He's acting like he's doing his best but I can sense that he's holding back.'

"Ray Grandfell stop holding back!!" Bell said as she used her most powerful spell, absolute zero a spell that she hasn't mastered yet but was formidable enough to freeze a quarter of the arena and almost froze Ray if he hadn't coated himself with sun energy before Bell used absolute zero.

And after the people spectating the test saw this they cheered for Bell as it looked like she was winning.

"You know if I give it my all I'll probably knock out everyone here, but if you say so I'll use a spell that'll shock everyone here."

And as Ray used "sun ball" but instead of shooting it Bell he shot it upwards but the shockwave that came from it shocked everyone present in the arena including Bell who was just in front of Ray as she was bewildered at the sight of Ray's spell and was relieved that he didnt use it on her.

And the other participants stopped as they saw this spectacular sight.

"W-was that Ray Grandfell's sun Element even though were the same batch his power is on par of 6th circle mage!" Sid said someone who was considered a "genius" in controlling magic and would be one of Ray's most formidable ally in the future.

"There I used one of my spells for real." Ray said towards Bell as she was still stunned at what Ray just did.

"I'll go and eliminate some other people now, and you shouldn't let your guard down as even though your a genius just before me you can still be eliminated."

Ray then walked away as he effortlessly eliminated the nearby participants making everyone participating in the arena see him as a disaster that couldn't be stopped, but Ray only eliminated the weak ones and spared those who could defend at least one attack from him he was going to keep doing this until there was only 10 people left.

And as Ray did this the entire crowd spectating him cheered for him.

"Ray Grandfell you may be the greatest genius in the empire but there's no way you can take several people at once."

Now participants were teaming up just to defeat Ray as he was a calamity to everyone in the arena.

"Really?" Ray asked sarcastically then he used a weaker version of sun ball but instantly eliminating the group regretting the fact that they even thought of trying to fight Ray.

"NOW THERE IS ONLY 50 PEOPLE LEFT OUT OF THE 500 PARTICIPANTS NOW EVERYONE THAT HAS SURVIVED UNTIL NOW IS GUARANTEED TO AT LEAST BE PUT IN THE "GOLD CLASS AND THE REMAINING 10 PEOPLE WILL BE PUT IN THE DIAMOND CLASS!!"

In the fraux academy every year they only take exacrly 500 participants and depending on when they were eliminated they will be put in the following classes.

Diamond Class- 10

Gold Class-11th to 50th

Silver Class- 51st to 100th

Copper Class-101st to 250th

Bronze Class- 251st to 500th

All the classes excluding the diamond class have several room due to the abundant amount of students in that class.
