On that meeting that happened in a humble-looking, a bit eerie looking house, Feng Meilin recalled the words that the middle-aged spirit medium told her.

"The deceased no longer has to follow the rules of the living, but remember, they are still bound by the law of cause and effect."

The middle-aged man's calm voice echoed in her mind. 

He added, "They are doing what they are doing now as a compromise to this law."

"But you should be careful not to violate this, or else, they would have a reason to go after you." 

These cryptic words were all Feng Meilin got from the spirit medium. There was nothing more. No charm sold to her, or anything of that sort. Or a kind of weird ceremony where she would have to sit on a chair and watch as the other party does some sort of ritual.
