Chapter 9

When the meat was done cooking, Ian suddenly realized the absence of any plates or utensils.

Looking at Caesar, Ian said," Let's wash our hands before we eat."

Caesar looked a little confused but obliged none the less bringing Ian to a big BHollowed stone filled with water near the stone table.

"This is just a ritual we do in my tribe to make sure we don't dirty the food," Ian explained once they went back to eat.

Caesar nodded in understanding, using a stone knife to cut up the pieces a little bit more. Ian smiled before picking up a piece with his hands and placing it near Ceasar's mouth," Eat," he said smiling.

Caesar looked at him, his eyebrows shooting up into his hairline, before slowly taking the piece into his mouth, his ears turning red. Ian smiled, wow! The gods must have taken pity on him! How else would he have gotten such a cute macho caveman as his boyfriend?

"Is it good?" Ian asked leaning in.

Caesar nodded hurriedly," Yes, yes, it's really good."

Caesar picked up another piece and ate it expressing his admiration.

Ian smiled as he watched Caesar picked one more up presenting it to him," You eat too," Caesar said his voice soothing and earnest.

Ian looked at the meat near his lips and took it into his mouth, licked Caesar's hand in the process on purpose, and peaked at Caesar.

Caesar's entire neck had turned red.

Ian couldn't help but giggle at Caesar. Caesar looked at him defeated, "Don't be naughty," he warned half-heartedly his dark eyes drawn. Ian nodded good-naturedly not teasing him anymore and they quickly finished the meal.

After they cleaned up Ian took a good look at the cave, he needed to make some furniture, maybe a table and some chairs, he should make the stone division a wall and block of the view of the bedroom too. Should he hang a curtain at the door? He saw several caves that did.....

But then how would light get in?

Ian's thoughts were cut off by Caesar walking towards him. Oh my! This was their first night, right? Ian became really nervous, did he smell? He wasn't prepared at all.

Contrary to what he thought, Caesar leads him to bed and plopped down on the other side," Sleep, "Caesar commanded," You have been through a lot."

Ian was flabbergasted, before smiling, what a gentleman! As someone used to tribal life, Ian knew that Caesar was a rarity, he'd seen many people force themselves on others and as a female, Ian was always very cautious. The other females had described how terrible their first times were and how they had bled...

He had been afraid to partake in any intimate relationships in this life, unlike when he was an agent. Ian's evaluation of Caesar increased and wanted to please him more.

"Okay," Ian responded trying to get comfortable on the stone bed. There was no light but a small stream of silver that passed through the entrance. Caesar was very large, over 6 feet easily. The bed was very cramped with both of them.

"Tomorrow," Ian started," I'll make a bigger bed."

"Okay," Caesar readily agreed, "Do you need any help?"

Ian shook his head," No, but can you take the stone bed out?"

"Yes," Caesar said patting Ian's head.

Ian hummed and the cave became quiet.

Caesar looked over after some time to see Ian sound asleep, a ray of moonlight illuminated his pale face. Caesar heaved out a sigh, his mate was really beautiful. Caesar reached out his hand to pinch Ian's cheeks.

Suddenly, Ian moved. Caesar froze as Ian wrapped himself around Caesar's large body frame, his pale finger played on his chest, and his face rubbed against his arm. Caesar's entire face burst red.

His little mate was too rowdy in his sleep!

Afraid to move, Caesar lay like that for the rest of the night and didn't get much sleep.

The next day, Ian woke up with a backache. The stone bed was really uncomfortable, it was better to sleep on dirt!

Ian renewed his spirit to make a comfortable bed. Caesar was already awake and was roasting yesterday's meat over the pan. Ian frowned, there was no refrigeration so the meat they didn't finish would go bad by the end of the day.

Ian walked towards Caesar who handed him a pear. Ian smiled thanking him," Why didn't you wake me up?"

"You looked really tired," Caesar explained, turning the meat over.

Ian smiled and went towards the water pot and washed his face and mouth before washing the pear and taking a bite.

Ian looked back at Caesar to find him shrouded in the morning light, his perfectly sculpted muscled illuminated in the light. By god! Ian thought the gods must have taken pity on him for them to give him such a nice mate.

Ian sauntered over to Caesar sitting next to him," Let me help."

Caesar looked over at Ian's dark shiny eyes, there was pear juice on his face, but Caesar somehow found it endearing.

"No need," he said," the food's done."

Ian nodded, he didn't really feel like eating meat in the morning.

Ian continued eating his pear, thinking about how he could store food.

Caesar cut the meat for himself and Ian taking a bite frowning. After eating Ian's cooking, his cooking seemed very bland.

" I will go hunt with the hunting team," Caesar suddenly said.

Ian nodded finishing his pear.

"Don't you want to eat meat?" Caesar asked seeing that Ian hadn't had a bite.

"I'm not that hungry," Ian said," what will I do then?"

"You can go with Barbara today and ask the priest."

"Okay," Ian replied watching Caesar finish, before pecking his lips.

"Come back safe!" Ian said running out of the cave leaving a stunned Caesar.
