7.TALKS! AND TESTS!

2 MONTHS AND 14 DAYS LEFT FOR KUMO DELEGATION ARRIVAL...

Morning came, i woke up and cooked some instant ramen for breakfast. I was just going to devour my second cup of ramen when i poofed out of existence .

HOT FOREST: THE RESIDANCE OF CHAMELEON CLAN

I arrived infront of a giant Chameleon and stared at it wide-eyed with my noodles still on the chopsticks and the cup still in my hands. It continued for several more seconds. Then the Chameleon suddenly speaked, "Do you know boy, why you are here?"

l nodded and replied nervously, "It's because i singned your contract without your permission, right!.....I am sorry I didn't mean to do that....i only did it to save my partner's and my life."

The Chameleon nodded and then introduced himself as elder Shima of the Great Chameleon clan and then it asked me some rapid fire questions and i gave him the answers, as truthfully as possible. And so far the elder Shima looked satisfied with my answers.

"Haruto! You have to do one more thing before officially becoming our summoner."....said Shima.

"Really! What is it Shima san?" i inquired.

"You have to stop being the summoner of Giant eagle clan.".....said Shima.

I frowned and said, "What! Why Shima san?"

"It is our condition Haruto."...said Shima.

"I refuse! You can have your contract back."...i replied immediately.

"What! Why?"....he exclaimed angrily.

"They are my friends! I can't ditch them just because you asked me to."...i stated.

"Then you won't be able to become our summoner brat! One of the most powerful summoning clan in the world. People will forever call you a fool for refusing our power, the power of one of the major summoning clan in exchange for maintaining a petty friendship with a minor summoning clan like the Giant eagle clan. You fool! Think about it carefully, Brat! I won't ask again."...Shima said

"My answer will remain the same no matter how many times you ask.....i refuse.....you can have the contract back shima san... please sent me back to my world".....i replied to him and tried to return back the contract.

"So far everything is going as planned."...i thought to myself.

You mean friendship is more important than power ? he inquired to which i nodded.

"Why?"....he asked again.

"Well! Because the friendship of Giant eagle clan is more important to me over the power of your clan."...i replied.

"You mean friendship is more important than power?"....he inquired to which i nodded.

"Ok! Then what will you do when you have to face someone more powerful then, you and your friends combined? Tell me?"...he said.

"I....I will..."...I sputtered unable to answer the question.

"What the hell kind of question is this?".....i thought angrily in my mind.

Seeing my flustered look Shima started laughing uncontrollably.

"Shima! Stop agnotizing the child."...someone said in my background and slowly one by one the entire Chameleon clan came into view.

I acted like i was surprised since due to my sensory abilities i already knew they were there right from the beginning but for now they don't need to know that.

"Woah! You all can become invisible like me! Cool!".....i exclaimed.

"Well! Anyway now can you sent me back?"...i asked.

"Why?"....asked a Shima.

"Because i ain't broking my friendship with Giant eagle clan.".....i said.

"No need to do that Haruto! i was just testing you."...said Shima.

"What!"...i exclaimed.

"Yeah! Kid!"...said one of the other Chameleons who introduced himself as Gekko.

"From today onwards we Chamleon clan swore our allegiance to you Haruto Uzumaki and know that, we will forever be grateful to you for freeing our kin Shiromari from her cursed fate. And Please accept our apologies for the inconveniences caused by Shiromari".....said Shima.

"Yes! Plan success. I got the chameleon clan.".....i thought in my mind excitingly and then answered, "It was nothing! I only did it to save my partner's and my life, and Shiromari san was only following the orders of her summoner so it wasn't her fault so its ok, no need to apologise"...i answered.

"Ok! Now take the scroll and leave!".... ordered Shima upon which i took the scroll and tied it up and popped out of existence.

"The boy is a worthy summoner Shiromari."....stated Shima.

"I know....I know.....Shima!"...stated Shiromari.

OUTSKIRTS OF THE KŌZA TOWN

I arrived back at the forest of the Kōza town and ate some more instant ramens.

There, i rested for another two hours after which i went back to Kōza town again, to find some souvenir for Naruto.

It took me some four hours to return back in town.

I searched the entire market place and finally decided to bought some different flavoured instant ramen for Naruto as sovenier. It was chief and affordable, besides Naruto liked Ramen. Then i restocked supplies for the two days journey ahead back to Hidden Leaf.

I was very happy since my plan for acquiring the Chameleon summoning contract had gone well.

The next day i summoned O-Toko and left for hidden leaf.

2 MONTHS AND 11 DAYS LEFT FOR KUMO DELEGATION ARRIVAL...

I sneaked in the Hidden Leaf and suprised Naruto.

"Big Brother! You came back earlier by one day."...said a surprised and happy Naruto.

"Aren't you happy, little bro?"...i casually asked him.

"It's not that, I am happy, big bro. It's just i am surprised, that's all....so where are my souvenirs?.....and remember you promised to tell me everything!".....said a happy Naruto.

"Yes! Yes! Here are your souvenirs.".....i said as i handed them over to Naruto.

"Woah! Different flavoured instant ramen....you are the best! big bro!".....he said excitedly.

"And don't eat them all at once ok! Naruto!"...i ordered him.

"Ok! Big bro!"..... said Naruto.

"I will tell you everything later, currently i want sleep, lots of sleep on our comfortable bed. Don't try to wake me up anytime soon! Ok!".....i ordered him again.

"Ok! Big bro!"...he replied with a salute.

Meanwhile my clone was hiding the summoning contract in our other unused bedroom.

I woke up at afternoon and as promised told him everything, except the fact that i am in possession of the summoning contract scroll.

I want him to become a toad summoner and if he find out about the scroll then i have no doubt he will do everything in his power to become a Chamleon summoner.

And of course! i told him the same story about how i wanted a tanto from kanzaki blacksmith of Kōza town of Land of Neck and that i coincidentally came accross the Chameleon summon and got the contract.

Needless to say, he was awed by the story and was sulking for not being able accompany me on such an awesome adventure.

As expected, the moment i finished the story, he started whining about signing the Chameleon contract.

"Please bro! Please ! Let me sign it."....said Naruto.

"Naruto, i am relatively new summoner to them, it will take some time to build enough trust between us and then only, i might be able to convince them to let you sign there contract. Understood!"....i said.

He nodded and asked, "How much time, big bro?"

"Let's see... atleast 10 years!".....was my response. He once again started sulking.

"Don't worry little bro! we will find some other Summoning contract for you. Believe it!"....i said to cheered him up.

"Really?"...he asked.

"Really!"...i replied.

So our lives returned back to normal and we continued to improve our skills at the Uzumaki Noah Mask Temple in secret.

And i started preparing for the arrival of the kumo delegation for peace talks which was as far as i know is a farce.
