"Hey! you dem..brat !Come back here! Where do you think you are going? The Hokage is in a meeting!" screamed the secretary of the Third Hokage.
But I avoided her and ran straight towards the room and came face to face with the Bull(ANBU) who caught me so I started struggling and screaming, "Let me go! I have something important to tell to Old Man, its related to Hidden Leaf's security and I need to tell him... Let me go!"
MEANWHILE,
HOKAGE TOWER,
MEETING CHAMBER...
"Danzo! Homura! Kohura! Can we finish this meeting sometime later?" asked the Hokage.
"What do you mean Hiruzen? Are you telling us that listening to that child's whimp is more important than this meeting regarding the peace treaty of Kumogakure." asked an angry Koharu.
"Humpf...! Haruto isn't a normal child Koharu! We both knew that, didn't we ? He rarely asks for anything and normally never talks to others until its meaningful. I have spied on Naruto and Haruto several times and I have always found him taking care of Naruto which shows that he is very mature for his age. My wife also agrees with me on this. If he is saying that it is related to our security then what is the harm in listening to him" said the Hokage and then assured them, "It won't take long!"
"I see! Then we would like to see: What is it that he had discovered which compromises the Hidden Leaf's security" responded Homura reasonably.
The Hokage nodded and ordered ANBU Boar, "Boar! Let him in!"
"Let him in Bull!" Boar ordered his subordinate Bull.
"You can go in Haruto Uzumaki" said Bull in a stern tone.
Haruto ignored Bull and walked inside the room after getting back his composure, he greeted everyone, "Hello! Lord Hokage and everyone!"
"Why do you want to talk to me Haruto?" asked the aged Third Hokage.
Haruto nodded and took out a map from the pocket of his pants and showed it to them.
"Here! In this map of the Hidden Leaf can you see this sector I have marked red old man?" I asked him.
"So what of it? boy!" asked Homura impatiently.
"I am explaining Homura san! Have some patience!" I replied.
Upon seeing the balant disrespect Homura glared at me which l swiftly ignored and resumed, "Well you see old man in this sector... The one I have marked red... Here!"
"Yes what of it Haruto?" asked the aged Third Hokage.
"I have found a network of hidden paper bombs!" I replied.
The revelation was like as if a bomb has went off. All other occupants of the room stood up and exclaimed, "WHAT!!".
"Do you know what you are talking about! boy!" asked Danzo. It's a stain on their reputation as the Strongest Hidden Village if somebody has managed do something like this right under their nose.
"Yes Danzo san. I came here after confirming it. It is hidden very well! I only discovered it by chance." I replied.
"Ok! Take me there Haruto! Boar tell Hiashi Hyuga to meet me there effective immediately" ordered Hiruzen.
AT THE SITE OF THE NORTH SECTOR...
"This is the place... that is the tag..." I started talking but Deer(ANBU) interrupted me in the middle, "You disturbed Lord Hokage and Honoured Elders for this one single tag which is planted in this old and abandoned building... huh, brat! Somebody must have planted it here to took down the structure and clear the field for the new project that was sanctioned for this district two years ago. But forgot to remove it, when the project was cancelled and luckily, you found it."
"And now you think that the security of Hidden Leaf is compromised... Hahaha! one tag in an abandoned old building comprising the security of entire Leaf... What a joke! Lord Hokage you can leave us, we will take care of it" finished Deer smugly.
Throughout the conversation nobody interrupted Deer because all other persons understood the gravity of the situation except him who took this situation far lightly and is now going to learn a life lesson. The Hokage was now curious to find out Haruto's response since he knew from her wife that Haruto doesn't like being interrupted.
"Deer san?" I started.
"Yes!" responded Deer.
"Are you perhaps a new recruit?" I questioned.
"What! How do you know that? asked Deer in a surprise.
"Because if you were an experienced one then you would know that in our Shinobi world one must never assume anything until there's something concrete or else it might cost you your life. Remember it! Someday it will save your life. Assumption is death until there's something concrete in this shinobi world." I replied.
All of the spectators were a little impressed by Haruto's response because it takes some experience to learn this valuable lesson and sometimes you might lose your life before learning it. Deer was embarrassed.
"Haruto you were saying..." the Third Hokage trailed off.
"Ah, Yes! Sorry about that old man! I don't like it when somebody interrupts me in the middle... Now where I was... Ah! so as I was saying... If you look at this tag carefully: You will find everything normal until you try to check it thoroughly. You can see here that there are two wires attached to it which means its designed for chained explosion but if they were designed to took down this building then why the wires are going outside towards the market place. Surely its not natural so I checked it out and found another paper bomb right behind this tree which on detonation will fall down on that building, resulting in the collapse of Takagawa Food Plaza and Miguri Cloth Center killing everybody within it. And this chain does not end here, the other paper bombs has also produced two more wires which are also connected to two more paper bombs like the previous one and two more wires have come out of those two paper bombs, this way it continues.
It brings me to a conclusion that somebody had planted a network of paperbombs to harm the Leaf so I immediately came to you! Old man!" I explained to jiji.
As l finished the explanation everybody was sweating, they now knew if whoever set this up have gone through their plans then it would have been a distater to the Leaf and no doubt, the other nations would have capitalised on this situation. Because the other nations knew that the Nine-Tails' attack and Fouth Hokage's death had greatly weakened the Leaf and with Orochimaru's sudden defection, the Leaf has now further weakened.
"Where is Hiashi?" asked a panicked Homura who had now fully grasped the gravity of the situation.
"Lord Homura! Lord Hiashi is on his way!"... replied the ANBU captain Boar.
"Boar! Summon two more squads and secure the perimeter until Hiashi arrives and evacuate the area!" ordered the Third Hokage.
"Haruto kun! You may now go back to the orphanage! We will handle it from here and you should know that you have done a great service to the Hidden Leaf Village! You will be rewarded!" Hiruzen assured Haruto. I nodded and left for the orphanage.
"Hiruzen! The boy is sharp! if you..." Danzō started but Hiruzen interrupted him before he could finish the sentence and also warned him, "No! Danzō! He will have a normal life and you will stay away from him and that's an order."
Sometime later, Hiashi arrived with his brother Hizashi and some other branch house clan members. After working for two hours they successfully removed the paperbombs and secured the North Sector.
"Now that the crisis has been solved we need to inform the council of this matter! Hiruzen!" urged Kohura.
"Yes! Yes! Kohura! Let us go!" said the Hokage.
THREE HOURS LATER,
COUNCIL CHAMBERS,
MEETING HALL...
"Hey! Shikaku! Do you know anything about this meeting?" inquired Tsume Inuzuka.
"Troublesome! You weren't within the village?" asked Shikaku.
"Yes! I was away on a mission." replied Tsume.
"Apparently somehow, somebody had managed to infiltrate our village and plant a web of paper bomb within the north district." answered Shikaku.
"What! How?" exclaimed Tsume in surprise.
"I don't know but the crisis has been solved and it will be explained so just wait! You troublesome woman!" said Shikaku.
All the other council members have arrived and the Hokage then explained the entire situation.
"Lord Hokage! You mean to tell us that these web of paper bombs were there since 20 years ago and nobody had ever found them out till now?" asked a random civilian council member. It was an insult. They are the strongest hidden village. How can somebody fool them like this. It's hard to believe that despite the Hyuga Clan's all seeing eye, these traps were never discovered until now.
"Yes! Gozo-san!" replied the Hokage.
"Lord Hokage! How can you be so sure that this trap was 20 years old?" asked Shibi Aburame.
"The tags used in these traps were outdated and mostly used during the Second Shinobi World War and, its production and usage has completely stopped twenty years ago." replied the Hokage.
"Lord Hokage! Who found out this trap?" asked the civilian council member Gozo
"An orphan civilian child!" replied the Hokage smoothly to gain their sympathy.
"Then we must reward him/her, Lord Hokage!" said another civilian council.
The entire civilian and shinobi council agreed upon this to which the Hokage smiled. Unknown to them, the Civilian Council has now fallen in his trap. He knew that they would have never agree with him to reward Haruto Uzumaki at any cost so he played with words and trapped them in their own game.
Meanwhile Danzō is thinking, "Well played! My friend! Well played! but it doesn't matter he will come to me... For now I have to lay low and come back in your good graces."
"Yes! Yes! we will reward him!" the Hokage assured them.
"Boar! Go fetch him!" ordered the Hokage.
As soon as Haruto Uzumaki entered the hall, the entire council started murmuring demon brat , murderer, what is the demon doing here, etc.
"SILENCE!" shouted Hiruzen to bring order.
"Now, my boy! Come here! This is Haruto Uzumaki. He was the one who discovered those trap." the Third Hokage informed the council and resumed, "You will be glad to know that the council has decided to reward you for your endeavour of discovering those paper bomb web..."
"What! Are you sure Lord Hokage? Is he really the one who discovered it?" asked Gozo, the Civilian Council Head.
"The Honourable Elders can attest to that question since they were witnesses too when he came to me with his discovery" replied the elderly Hokage.
The Elders also confirmed it much to the disappointments of all the civilian council and some shinobi council members.
""Lord Hokage! Can I choose my reward?" I asked him.
"Yes! You can!" he responded with enthusiasm.
"I would like to have an apartment for me and my Brother. And some loan from Konoha Great Bank till we became Genins for the expenses of daily life." I told him my demands.
"You don't have to worry about your and your brother's daily life expenses. Due to your information we have managed to save one-fifth of the village which is equivalent to several S-rank missions. I will put that money in your account but you must use it wisely, my boy!" he replied.
Haruto nodded in response and asked, "My account?"
"Come to me tomorrow! I will open a bank account in your name in the Konoha Great Bank" the Hokage informed me.
I nodded and said, "Thank you!"
"Anything else?" he asked.
"Water Heater in my bathroom!" I replied. Konohagakure's winter season isn't a kind one. I hate cold water.
"Haha! Ok! You may go now! The meeting is over." the Hokage was quick to say
Feeling satisfied I left the council chambers and smiled with one thought going around my head, "Plan Success!"
Some council member looked bitter, some neutral and some lazy. But there's nothing they can do now. Slowly, everyone cleared the hall of the Council Chambers.
