Ch.6: Friend In Danger.

Izuku was walking down the side walk of a random street. 'I'm going on to be a hero. Someone who puts their life on the line for strangers. They do it for fame, money, power, the list goes on. I want to be a hero just to protect mom. She wants me to be a regular person though so I won't be in danger...'

He sighed out while shaking his head. 'I'm not really hero worthy as I have all sorts of selfish desire. I could never put myself in danger for another. Just seems...stupid..'

As he was thinking that, he saw a crowd of people gathering around in front of an alley way.

'What's happening?' He crossed the street while putting the magazine into his back pocket. After rummaging through the people and seeing a face connect with his, his legs began shaking. "Baku...go..?" He saw him being covered in that same green smudge from before.

'Why?! Why is that here?! Didn't all might...?' A steak of hatred of hatred entered his mind as he began running at the smudge monster that was slowly killing his friend.

The onlookers called him an idiot while the slime smiled, recognizing the boy from before.

"Izu..?" Bakugo said while reaching out towards him. The slime then sent our green tentacles which Izuku barely dodged. He then dashed to his left then at the slime once again, coming at an angle instead of straight forward like before.

'If it comes down to it then I might have to...expose myself...' He managed to get onto the monster and starting ripping the slime off. The slime however kept regenerating, meaning he made no progress whatsoever.

"Y-You're going to hurt yourself! Go away!" Bakugo managed to scream out, his thoughts starting to slow and his vision beginning to blur. "Don't worry! I-I'll save you.." The onlookers were then blocked by a arm, causing their sights of the battle to be blocked.

"Save...me? You're just going to hurt yourself! Stop!" Izuku blinked and what showed next were tears. 'Damn it. I can't cry right now! I have to show bakugo...I have to show him that it'll be fine!' And with that thought, Izuku ran away.

The monster laughed at that while Bakugo become surprised but surprisment soon turned into a small smile. 'Thank you..for saving yourself..'

Just then, he found himself in the open. 'Huh..?' As air began to flow back into himself as slowly turned around to see Izuku in the slimes embrace.

"Izu..?" A mighty figure flew past Bakugo with its fist cocked back. "Damn it! I'm late!" The fist connected with the slimed face, causing it to turn into nothingness and causing the green haired boy to fall to the floor.

'How can I explain...this..?' Izuku thought while having his face in a puddle. 'I shouldn't have exposed myself like this,..but what could I have done? No heroes, no cops, no nothing. I alone had to do something that the others couldn't or else...he might've died..'

His healing factor began to kick in, the side effect being that he has to have his eyes closed in order for it to work. 'I don't even want to show myself to him. The questions I'll be asked, the look he'll give, I can't bare all of that..'

With that in mind, he only showed his power to him and maybe some heroes so he should be protected. 'Power... I need more power. I could barely protect my friend..' As he kept lying there in the puddle, he didn't notice that all might was trying to check up on him.

'I see now that without power, you really are useless in society. If I want to protect mom, bakugo, the people I love then I'll need it...' He slowly got up from the puddle and was met with a hug from bakugo.

Izuku smiled unconsciously and gave a light hug back. 'Even though he gangbangs, he's still just a big teddy bear. More importantly, he's my best friend. I would expose myself a million times over if it meant that I could protect him..'

He realized over the years how much he appreciates bakugo's company. He'd show up at his apartment door, asking to hang out or something along the lines. Izuku would deny it, but ask him to come in and they would play games.

It was memories like that that built them up. From the mean kid that was annoying to the mean kid that just wanted the attention of his friend, izuku.

After things calmed down, the heroes cleaned up what remained of the sludge villain, and asking Katuski to come down to the police station to give a report. No one saw Izuku powers but bakugo to which he would explain to him later and all might to which he would explain now.

They were on a small, empty street. All might asked to speak to Izuku in private to which he accepted. "We...both have things to say, young lad. Should we get them off our chest?" Izuku was about to agree when he realized he said, 'both'.

'What does he mean by...both?'
