Hunting in New York

After I had crushed his neck, I went back to the room where my kids had been, and after pulling out the map with the hideouts marled, I quickly found the Manfredi families hideout, right across the Galby building in Manhattan.

Deciding not to waste any time, as seconds could matter, i took the quick way down :

The window.

Jumping directly out of the window, I fell from multiple stories with a few panicked screams resounding from the pedestrians.

Yet I didnt turn into a splatter on the sidewalk, instead, as I impacted the ground many tiny cracks spread out from my feet.

Then, I broke into a mad sprint towards Manhattan where the hideout of the maggia family was located.

As I whizzed past the occasional pedestrians, soon enough I heard police sirens blaring, yet I was busy with other things.

Seeing the high-rise building opposite of the Galby building, I lowered my center of gravity to brake my extreme speeds.

Then, still having some momentum, I turned sharply, heading directly towards the door.

CRASH!

Sending both of the sliding doors flying, as they didn't open up quickly enough, I started looking at the lobby area.

White tiles with green walls. There was a big circular glass area in the middle, and a dozen benches next to the walls.

There were also more than 20 men aiming their rifles and pistols at me right now from different corners.

"Are you guys the Manfredi family?" I asked, to make sure.

"Yea, how dare you crash the front door when even cops don't dare fuck with us!" the receptionist shouted. He was 5 meters to the right of me. The rest were at varying distances but no more than 20 meters.

"Where are the children."

"What children. This guy is nuts, get him!" the receptionist shouted.

Materialising my <Thunderclap > from thin air once more, I pointed my shotty at the guy who was standing behind the receptionist area.

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE!

BANG BANG BANG BANG!

The top half of his torso was blasted to bits, as there were also large holes blown in the wall.

All the while bullets kept hitting me, yet failing to do anything.

Not even bothering to slow down time, I started shooting anything that moved.

Two bastards left of the desk, cut in half.

Another three at the staircase dispatched by two shots, limbs blown off.

In the glass thing, one of them tried to kick a table over and use it as cover for his group, yet...

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE!

The shotgun pellets went through the table as easily as they went through their bodies, blasting them into red bits as well.

Aim, fire, aim, fire, aim, fire!

After two months of non stop fighting, this had become second nature to me, and all 20 of them had been turned into bloody messes within seconds.

Running to the stairs I heard police sirens outside the building, yet I just kept running.

On the second floor, three men ambushed me from the right corridor. As the bullets bounced off me...

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE!

One shot, three kills.

Then, I ran into room after room, killing anything that pointed a gun at me with a single shot.

12 rooms on the second floor, a storage of sorts, none had the kids, 30 dead people.

Third floor, nothing, even more dead.

Same on the fourth floor. By now I had stopped counting.

Arriving on the fifth and last floor, and not finding anyone in the other rooms, I found an old man inside the office at the end of the hallway. And as I walked closer, he started talking shit.

"My glorious Manfredi family, destroyed by a brute like you! This wouldn't have happened were I younger! Thi-"

Grabbing him by the head, as I was afraid I would kill him due to being an old shitter if I grabbed the neck, I slowly said "Where are the children?"

"I'm not afraid of DY-AAAARGH!"

One broken finger.

"I don't give a shit about you not being afraid of death, but if you don't tell me where my kids are I'm going to rip you limb from limb and hunt down every single relative you have, and erase everything you ever built. So, spill it, where the fuck are they!?"

"A-As if I'D-ARRRGH!"

Two fingers.

...

Looking at the bloody 'human' on the ground, without any limbs left attached to it, I walked to the room next to this one.

On the wall left of me was a bookshelf. Grabbing it, I threw it to the side, breaking it in the process.

There really was a door huh.

Then, I slowly opened the door. Inside the small room were 5 children or so, looking at me, frightened. Eliza and Bruce weren't among them though, I got a bit disappointed, yet I put on the nicest smile I could, trying not to scare them.

"Eliza? Bruce? Or did anyone of you see either of them?"

"We didn't!" a boy in the back replied.

Nodding my head, I simply said "Stay here for a while, you'll get saved. If you decide to go out you could see bad stuff. Bye."

Turning away from the room under the confused gazes of the kids, I walked back to the office, and looking at the large glass window, I poked it using some force.

Crack! Shatter!

The glass shards started falling down the building , scaring the nearby pedestrians.

Walking to the window, I was ready to jump down, yet I heard a cop shouting in his megaphone.

Three police cars were already parked in front of the building, and multiple officers were staring at me, guns in hand.

"We've got you surr-"

Not bothering to listen more than that, I jumped down as screams rung out once again.

BANG!

Once more hitting the ground and destroying the pavement, I turned to look at the shocked cop.

"There's 5 children captured in that building. So get fucking going and free the hostages, dipshit."

Not waiting for his reply, I turned started running full speed towards the shocked pedestrians, and just before colliding I jumped as hard as I could.

Flying over the crowd that had gathered, having crossed more than 20 meters in that jump, I started running towards Hell's Kitchen, where another maggia group is, the Costa family.

As for why, apparently the Manfredis weren't the only ones in on human trafficking.

Finally arriving in Hell's Kitchen, next to the warehouse that was used as their stronghold, there were more cops trailing after me now, though I couldn't give any shits about this right now.

Not wasting any time, I charged at the steel doors of the warehouse, punching as hard as I could.

BANG! CRASH!

Sending the two large metal doors flying, I had a shower of lead greet me once more.

More than 10 of them were hiding behind a bunch of barrels and crates.

A dynamite stick appeared in my hand.

I flung, It flew, and then it blew!

BOOOOOM!

Then, I started running through the warehouse, and after more rampaging I had killed another 40 men by now, before I found an office of sorts.

Walking in there, I noticed two men on the floor, one of which had his arm broken.

Then, a punch came from the right, directly hitting me in the face.

Grabbing the arm that didn't do anything to me, I was ready to rip it off, yet my body refused to obey. Slowly, after I felt my anger subside, and then I tried to see who was controlling my body.

Finally, I saw a system message.

<Not a bad guy, relax. Remember how I said they're gona be perfectly fine?>

Remembering the system, and it indeed saying that the kids would be fine before I went for Stark , I felt some of my rationality return.

Turning to look at whose hand I was grabbing, I saw a 1.8 or so tall guy in a red costume. Two tiny horns on the mask, that only went up to his nose, with his lower face fully exposed.

I could feel his surprise, or even shock, at me being completely unharmed from his punch. More so, he probably was just as surprised at him not being capable of breaking free from my grip.

"Look, I dont give a shit who you are," I said, releasing his hand, "but my two kids were kidnapped and I'm in a very bad mood, so stop trying to fuck around with me and piss off."

Hesitating for a moment, he replied "Look, I get that you're angry, but taking it out by killing grunts who know nothing won't get you closer to them. Slow down a little bit and think things trough." he was trying to calm me down, I could tell that much, and there also was empathy in his voice.

"...What do you want me to do?" by now, I had somewhat calmed down as he had a point.

"Leave the normal members and just go for their leaders. You're bullet proof so you would be fine to just rush straight in and beat the info out of them."

"So I'm guessing you beat up those two and found something useful from them?"

"There's 4 children being held captive in the next room, all of them being something called 'mutants'."

"Mutants?" surprised, I had faint hope.

"Yeah, the-" he couldn't finish his sentence, as my hand started digging into the thin steel wall.

Then I started pulling as hard as I could, ripping off a large chunk of the wall, and finally saw four children huddling together in a corner, teary eyed.

Sadly, my kids weren't among the. Sighing, I asked "We are going to rescue you from those that kidnapped you, but please, can you tell me if two kids named Eliza and Bruce were held here at any point?"

"N-No." the oldest girl, their leader whom everyone was hugging, said slowly "We were all brought here 5 days ago, and since then we did not see any other mutants here."

"Haaaah... Where the hell are they, damn it..."

Then, I felt his left hand on my shoulder, "Look, while it's clear they're not here, go outside for a bit so I can ask them a few things." before he continued while gesturing at the children, "They would be scared otherwise, and they may have a clue or two on their whereabouts. Okay?"

"...Okay." after a few seconds of thinking, and once more system saying they would be fine, I agreed. After all, if the system judged him as good, then means I can somewhat freely trust him.

Going outside the office, I sat down while leaning on the ground, trying to calm myself down. Yet not even five minutes passed and the masked guy had already made his way out of the office.

"Anything?" I asked.

"They only know that there is a third crime family involved with this thing, but they don't know which one. And from what I overheard from the two, they also knew that the reason they kidnapped the kids is a rich client that requested specifically mutant children."

"Who are the third group and who is the client?" getting up from the ground, I asked after turning to look at him.

"The third group don't operate in here, they're in Los Angeles, and we don't know anything else about them. But, they all were hired by the same client. That's all we have, and no information on the client either."

"...Shit."

Thinking for a moment, I suddenly had an idea.

"Yo, boss." I said, while looking at the empty air, a faint smile on my lips.

The costume guy wanted to say something, thinking I was crazy, yet I made a shhh gesture and he went silent.

<Mm? >

"Can you help me out a bit here?"

<Mmm... They're safe and sound, they won't be harmed at all.>

"Haaa... Yeah you told me that before. Though, where are they?"

<I'll tell you if go and blow up one more place.>

"Huh? Which one?"

<Kingpins tower. He ain't here but go knock anyway.>

"Sure."

Jumping on my feet, I started heading towards the exit.

"Hey! Who were you talking with and where are you going." red guy said.

<Repeat after me, "Blowing up a place, Matthew.">

"Blowing up a place, Matthew.", I said with a smirk.

<Hahaha haha!>

"Ahuh? How the fuck do you know?!"

"Boss told me. Take care of them and see you around, bye." leaving a cryptic message about my boss once again, he was probably going to spend quite some time trying to figure out who my boss might be.

With that, I bolted once more, leaving the warehouse.

Outside, more than ten police cars and two swat vens were there to welcome me. Once more, I started jumped over the dumbasses who blocked me way, before I openly said.

"Arrow?" I said, hoping for some help navigating.

Ding!

And with that, a giant arrow manifested above a tower, located a few blocks away from the empire state building.

Knowing where to run to now made things easier, and I decided instead of avoiding pedestrians I would run accross the roof tops as I had more than enough strength to comfortably jump from one roof top to another.

Yet when I was jumping from a 4 floor building to a 5 floor one, something happened.

Feeling a tug on my leg, I was thrown off balance and instead of landing on the roof I crashed directly into the wall, full force.

While it didn't hurt at all, I was still annoyed as shit so I turned to look back at who the nuisance was.

"Sup, big guy." directly above me, a guy was latched onto the wall, red and blue costume, with a spider on his chest.

"Spider-Man?"

"The one and only. Now, wanna have a talk and relax?"

"Hmmm... No, I have my two kids to save, so, please leave." I said, grabbing the web.

"No need to wreck half the city then, is there? What if some super guy busted your brand new car by falling off a high place, huh?"

"I only wrecked a bit of pavement and a bit of a building."

"And what about people you blasted to bits using that thing?" he said, pointing at my shotgun.

"Calling child kidnappers people is a stretch, isn't it?" I was starting to be annoyed.

"Doesn't mean you can-"

"Look, will you let me go and blast Kingpins place to bits or do I have to fight you first?"

"... I think you should cool down a bit instead."

"So be it." and with that, I pulled as hard as I could. He did the same, and we both flew towards each other.

What he didnt expect however, was that I re-materialised my shotgun and stabbed it into the wall, rotating my body and dodging his grab.

And while I managed to grab his leg and tried to throw him, he tried to do the same.

Staring at each other, and both of us knowing we couldn't really do anything without fighting the other seriously, an uneasy silence settled in.

And then, the silence was interrupted by cracking noises, as the wall that had a shotgun embedded into it crumbled, with both of us starting to fall.

And while he did manage to stop himself by suspending between two buildings using his webs, I smashed into the ground full force.

"Yo big guy, you alright?"

"Yeah, yeah, unless it's a tank shell to the face you're not gona do anything to me, so don't worry." getting up from the ground, I noticed a manhole cover nearby and smiled.

"Can-?"

"Nope, see you later!" running to the manhole, I threw it up into the air, before jumping down.

Then, I started running through the sewers toward where the arrow, that was visible through the ground, was.

I arrived shortly after next to the arrow, and not bothering to climb the ladder I jumped to the top of it, before pushing the manhole cover to the side.

Seeing no people in a costume nearby to ambush me, I charged into the building, jumping in through a window.

Yet, after an hour of searching, the entire thing was empty. There wasn't even a single soul in here, not on the ground floor all the way to the upper floors.

<Good 8 enough. out of 10. Way to slow get here in time but it doesn't matter, so now just wait. And this isn't kingpins place, was a different mafia family's as they ran after the two hits. Sorry for lying.>

"Its fine, you got your reasons, but can't ya be honest and tell me why?"

<Fine, just get captured now and that's it. I want to see how much some people will annoyed, heh.>

Sitting down on the ground, shotgun in hand, I waited to see what would happen. I was kind of curious what the system is plotting, after all.

Then, I heard a sound coming from the window. Not bothering to turn around, as the mental fatigue from being awake far too long was starting to kick in, I asked with half closed eyes and a slight smile.

"Spider-Man?"

"Yeah. Why are ya on the floor, did I not hold back properly?" slight concern was apparent in his voice.

"As if, mental exhaustion is starting to set in. I've been running around 3 days awake and blasted god knows how many people back in Afghanistan, and right now it's starting to hit me. I aint young anymore, after all, I'm 25 and a old man."

"You ain't even that old! I thought you were 40 or something with that beard!"

"Hahahahah!"

"So... Did you find your children?"

"Got told they're safe by my boss, so I got no reason to blow up anything else, so I think I'll pass out soon."

"...What if you get arrested and can't see them?"

"What if I bulldoze my way out of prison?" I said, turning to look at him with a smirk.

"...Why didn't you fight me seriously?" suddenly, he asked.

"You ain't vermin, you're a good fella, so I got no reason to..." I unsummoned my shotgun, "fight you at all. Otherwise I'd feel bad for beating you up, Parker."

"Yea-HUUUUH?"

"I'll keep my mouth shut, hahahaha!" looking at the spider that almost stumbled, I couldn't help laughing at him.

Slowly, failing to hear anything else he said, my consciousness went blank.

Looking at the news report that a man had massacred two crime families in New York, before he was found unconscious in a building, many people were worried about a potential supervillain.

Yet some people that watched it, had a different thought.

Among them were Eliza and Bruce, Tony Stark, and Frank Castle.

'It wouldn't be him, right?'

Two meaty chaps

Anyways, ima bitch here
