[Here you go, another chapter today]
"Hey, I'm Poul," I said as I walked over to Carley and Lily, interrupting their conversation to introduce myself.
Both of them looked at me, and Carley introduced herself as well. She held out her hand for a handshake, which I accepted with a smile. To her surprise, I even kissed her hand. Her face flushed because of this, but she acted like it didn't and shook my hand off.
I chuckled at her reaction.
"I'm Lily," she introduced herself without initiating a handshake. I didn't mind, as I expected that. "When are you planning to leave?" she asked me.
"Should we? I might be able to help out the old man in the corner over there," I said, pointing my finger at Larry.
"Can you really?" she asked, hopeful.
"Maybe. But only if we can stay," I said with a smirk.
"Yes! If you can get him medicine for his heart, then yes!"
"Alright. Do you have anything I can use for lockpicking?"
"I do!" I heard a female voice behind me.
I turned around and saw Andrea holding a hairpin. I smiled and took it. "Thank you."
Taking the hairpin, I walked toward the office, with Carley following behind me.
"How do you know where to go?" she asked me.
"...Gut feeling?" I said, acting unsure.
She didn't comment on it, but I could see that she was on edge around me for some reason. I can't really blame her though. I mean, I tried to flirt with her the moment we met, and at that time, she pointed a gun at my head and I wasn't even scared.
Yes, I'm not scared of guns, but walkers. But in my defense, I grew up surrounded by guns, drugs, and death. But an undead creature trying to kill you and eat you alive? That's a whole different story.
As we reached the door, I opened it for her. She walked through the door, and I could tell from her face that it felt strange to her. Probably, no one had ever opened a door for her.
You might say that I'm a simp, but I'm not. I'm a gentleman. In my past life, I never cheated, and I did basic gentlemanly things like buying flowers and opening doors for my girlfriend at that time. I always received sex, love, and respect. So, no, I'm not a simp.
Back on topic, she's American, so I wouldn't be surprised if no one did basic things for her. In Europe, you open the door for even your female teacher.
What I'm doing now is charming her. Believe me when I say this, sooner or later, she'll fall for me.
As we stepped inside the room, I closed the door and looked at the barricaded door. I walked towards it and looked through its small window. Inside, I could see medicine boxes.
I looked back at Carley. "Always listen to your gut feelings, right?" I asked with a smile.
"Oh yeah?" she questioned.
"Yes," I responded. "What does your gut feeling tell you?"
"It tells me to stay away from you," she said.
"Hm... is that so?" I said with a small nod, but my smile never left my face.
"Yes. It tells me that you're dangerous and that the whole nice guy thing is only an act," she told me, staring intensely into my eyes.
My eyebrows rose, but quickly returned to normal as I stepped closer to her. Seeing me approach, she took a step back and raised her pistol to my chest.
Seeing her raise her gun, I stopped and playfully put my hands up, though not above my head. "Woah there, Carley... I mean no harm. But yeah, I am dangerous," I said while nodding.
"But about staying away from me... you don't have to. Trust me when I say this, I'd never harm you, unless you want me to," I said, winking as I finished my sentence.
Her hands shook a bit as she looked at me. After a few seconds, she lowered her weapon.
"What do you even want from me? We only met a few minutes ago," she asked, suspicion in her voice.
"I'm trying to steal your heart," I answered honestly.
"That won't happen," she shot me down instantly.
"Oh, it will. Trust me," I said, nodding seriously.
"How?"
"Now if I tell you, it won't work, will it?"
"But you telling me that you're trying to charm me, it will work regardless of that?"
"Haha!" I laughed out loud. "Yes, it will, baby."
"Don't call me that."
"Okay, baby."
Hearing me call her 'baby' again, she punched me on the shoulder.
"Ow, ow, it hurts so much," I acted hurt.
"Asshole!" she cursed at me.
"Aw, a pretty woman like you should curse like some redneck," I said playfully.
"Shut up!" she said as she walked towards the door.
"Where are you going?" I asked her.
"Back to the others."
"I might need some help in there," I said seriously, surprising Carley.
She let out a big sigh before saying, "Alright."
I smiled brightly as I heard her agree.
Teasing her is so much fun. It might not take long for her to fall for me. Of course, I know that she likes Doug right now, but she only likes him. She doesn't love him, so I don't really worry about the nerd.
Oh, now that I think about the others, I didn't see Glenn. But I guess it's not that surprising, since the game and TV series worlds are merged together. Glenn might be with Rick, Merle, T-Dog, and the others, but who knows? They might already be at Hershel's farm.
