A Potential Love Rival?

After Tatsuo's voice faded away, the darkness around Lilith slowly faded away and revealed a straight pathway to a dead end.

But deep down Lilith got a feeling that she was very close and the path was here somewhere, particularly she felt a pull to a certain pattern on the wall, and just like she thought once she placed her hand down onto it a bright light shone under her hand.

And within seconds a section of the wall's patterns glowed gold before disappearing and leaving only a small narrow pathway where a floating golden fire was waiting for her.

She walked through the hole in the whole to the flaming golden fire but as she took her step to the other side immediately the wall rebuilt itself and let Lilith in total darkness with the golden fire being the only light source guiding her.

After a long time, Lilith finally said out-aloud, "are we almost there? It feels like forever since I entered the darkness."

And as if it understood her, the golden fire moved up and down as if it were saying yes. And soon they came to a stop where the golden fire flashed. The flash was so bright Lilith shielded her eyes until she felt like it was safe, it was then she heard a voice, "Hey! Look at that statue. I bet if we take it with us it'll get us a lot of money!"

"Don't get distracted you dim-wit! How did I get stuck with you...Remember what we came for-"

Lilith's eyes flashed with murderous intent with the thought that these two were the ones the pocket watch mentioned, they were probably one of the enemies that were seeking the treasure of Eterna Temple.

Unknown to Lilith's appearance, two demons were exploring the room with sharp gazes whilst grabbing all the precious gems hidden in the walls. The older demon who looked to be the one in control started analysing the giant golden snake statue located at the front of the giant room with greed written clearly in his eyes before speaking to the smaller younger demon, "hmm, not bad newbie, your right about this statue though. I do believe it's made of gold and the eyes are rubies too..." He said whilst taking a look at the 4 metre high golden statue with a sad look reaching out to touch it whilst whispering "you haven't aged well Tatsuo..."

"Don't you dare lay a single finger on that statue," Lilith whispered threateningly, appearing behind the demon's back with Scarlet's scythe form out at his neck.

"BOSS!" the younger demon yelled startled at the sudden little human's appearance.

"Calm down Luke." The demon stated leisurely without care.

"But boss-" the demon known as Luke tried to convince his boss but got cut off.

"It's fine," he said before turning his attention to the Lilith. He was being held in her arms with a scythe pointed at his throat yet still he plainly talked without any traces of fear or anger. "Wow, you got some skill little girl. To think you move exactly like a ghost it's quite a feat for a weak, small, pathetic human like yourself."

"I wouldn't be insulting the one who could take your life within seconds, mister." Lilith rebuked back, giving one of her deadly smiles that screamed 'You're dead meat if you speak out of line'.

"Oh, so we have a tough little girl here then. What a shame, you look like such a cute, innocent angel yet you have such a deterring personality. Ah, but your personality is what we demons like rather you image is something we hate..." He continued talking not even hesitating to continue with insulting Lilith.

"What's your point, demon?" Lilith asked irritated at his continuous insults, she wished she could cut his tongue right now and watch him die without finishing his sentence.

"That is simple little girl, I want you."

"Excuse me? I believe I heard wrong. Could you repeat that."

"I want you."

"Ah...wait! What?!!"

He let Lilith calm down abit from the shock just watching her as if she was an interesting toy.

"why? I can kill you in this very instance right now."

"That's exactly why-"

"What? You like the idea of getting killed?"

"No, just let me finish. What I meant to say was that you're clearly a talented individual and you interest me. So why not join us? I'm sure our boss would love for you to join after all you two have met before..."

"What! Who is your boss? And how do I know him?" Lilith replied with shock and interest but before she could get an answer, someone had interrupted her.

"Lilith!" Coraline and Felix yelled looking at her and the current situation that was happening.

"Coraline? Felix?" Lilith asked looking at them in surprise but as she did, she didn't realise that her hold on the demon had loosened and taking the opportunity the demon escaped out of Lilith's arms and instead held her in his.

Whilst Lilith struggled to escape, he breathed into her ear, "aww, is the little angel scared now?"

"Pfft, No. Of-course not you child molesting dem-" Lilith stated arrogantly whilst struggling to break free from his grasps.

"Actually, my name is Rowan, little angel." he continued, whispering in her ear.

The position he and Lilith were in looked as one of lovers to outsiders it looked rather endearing but nether he nor Lilith seem to take note of that.

"Lilith!" Felix shouted before infuriatingly yelling, "Let go of my fiancé now your filthy demon!"

"Oh, so your names Lilith...and he's your fiancé? Little angel." Rowan whispered in her ear, then glancing at Felix who looked like he wanted to murder him, "I think that I'd be a better match for you, so why don't you be mine instead?"

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!" Felix fumed, he couldn't stand the fact that Lilith was in another man's arms and was being told that he was less of a match for her than some random demon. And as so he was about to run and grab Lilith from the demons arms but a slight pull from his hand made him stop.

"What?" Felix asked annoyed before calming his tone as he saw Coraline's nervousness.

"Him." Coraline said pointing at the other demon (Luke) who was holding duel daggers and looking ready to kill once the opportunity struck.

Felix finally realised his harshness could get the both of them killed so he firmly stood by Coraline's side making sure to keep an eye out.

In Lilith's mind she was finally a little proud to see Felix grow up a little, she even thought that he looked good with Coraline at his side.

Seeing her smile at the two opposite them Rowan felt annoyed so he whispered into her ear again, "Geez, he sure has a temper. It definitely doesn't fit with your personality well, hmmm it's another reason why you should be mine as were more compatible." Whilst doing so, he watched Felix with amusement.

"You're annoying." Lilith said to the demon turning her head towards him while staring blankly at him bored, she no longer struggled as she felt like there was no use and just let the demon do whatever he wanted. She knew that he would hurt her cause if he wanted to he would have already done it instead of teasing both her and Felix.

"Oh, so my little angel thinks I'm annoying now? Well, I can surely fix that soon." He stated smirking mischievously looking her right in eyes before flickering his attention to her lips before licking his own lips and giving her a sly smile.

"Oh. You're not? Are you?" Lilith asked her eye's widening as she realised what he meant when she caught the look he was giving her and her mouth.

"What do you think? Little angel..." He again breathed it into her ear slyly but suggestively whilst leaning his face into her neck and giving a light kiss.

The kiss sent shivers down her spine and a blush crept up on her face, dyeing it a shade of cherry red. This action sent Felix in a fit of rage, while both Luke and Coraline who were watching had stunned expressions not believing what they just saw.

Lilith remained shocked and embarrassed at what had happened, whilst Rowan looked very pleased and amused by her reaction to which he teasingly whispered in her red ear "awww, little angel are you embarrassed? Ahaha, you look much cuter this way." Before chuckling and continuing, "I wonder what kind of other faces you make? Say what do you look like when you're happy, sad or angry?" Rowan asked curiously as his interest in Lilith continued to grow.

"I-I D-do-n't know...why?" Lilith stuttered still feeling embarrassed and shy after what he had done as no-one had ever touched much less kissed her in such a way beforep. Even her fiancé, Felix only ever hugged her or held her hand, this was a completely new experience to her as in her last life she had died at 16 and she was still an inexperienced girl.

"Aww are you shy? I never knew you could be shy. I wonder, what would happen if I do it again?"

"eh! Ummm, no! thank you?" Lilith frantically replied with a red face.

"oh, it seems like that was your first time receiving a kiss huh?" Rowan said thoughtfully while contemplating something.

"mhmm" Lilith agreed thoughtlessly.

"So, that means that your own fiancé hasn't even kissed you before?" He continued to ask plainly without any other hidden intentions.

As Lilith's brain was malfunctioning she just nodded innocently unaware of the hidden question he was asking and just answered obediently.

Again seeing this he burst out chuckling at Lilith's cuteness and just patted her head while regretting saying "Your to innocent for your own good *sigh*...now I feel bad for taking advantage of such a pure and inexperienced girl..."

In response Lilith just looked up at his face and stared stunned at his words and just let him hold her in a warm hug.

But this scene didn't last long as Felix couldn't control himself anymore and immediately murderously shouted, "You blasted demon! She's my princess! Let her go immediately if not I will kill you."

"Oh, is that so. Let's see you do it then." Rowan looked at him cocking his head to the side with a devilish smile full of arrogance and challenge.

"What?" Felix asked confused.

"You want her back to badly, well let's see you try." Rowan stated arrogantly with a sly smirk, with eyes full of amusement and mischief.
