Chapter 4: Information Gathering

[Ding! The new system will boot up at midnight. Happy conquering, host!]

Following this notification, the system fell into deep silence.

Seth didn't notice any particular change, save that he could feel a certain connection to the system in his mind. He didn't think much of it.

Jumping off the bed, he took a shower, wore a new set of outfit that was unembellished, and exited.

"Hey, give me a tour." He pointed out to a maid catgirl and enjoined.

"Nya?" The maid catgirl tilted her head puzzlingly.

Seth roamed around the massive estate with a baffled catgirl, taking a simple tour to familiarise himself with his new surroundings. He had never played as Seth, and even if he did, how can he remember the house layout?

An hour later, he had mapped out everything.

"You can go now. Keep up the good job," he dismissed the maid catgirl and stepped inside the library.

A few minutes later, he found some relevant books that he was looking for. A book that theorizes the origin of this universe; a book that describes a set of common beliefs; a journal of magi; and a fairytale.

The world was known as Myriad Yore Continent, and its history dates back to over hundreds of millions of years ago.

During the chaotic period, when there was no Heaven and Earth, no mortal walking on land, no stars providing warmth, seven goddesses appeared out of nowhere and began shaping up the world.

The goddesses were later titled as: Goddess of Life, Goddess of Death, Dragon Goddess, Bestial Goddess, Elemental Goddess, Devil Goddess, and Lust Goddess.

The goddesses were like sisters, working together to create the world. They birthed everything that a life form requires to foster; celestial bodies, air, human, dragons, et cetera. It took over million years, but they were successful.

The world was at peace; everyone lived in harmony.

However, due to some unknown reason, a war broke out between three goddesses—Bestial Goddess, Devil Goddess, and Goddess of Death. They didn't fight against each other, but their followers, the races they birthed, engaged in a war that went on for tens of millenniums.

Only after the Goddess of Life, whom every goddess treated as eldest, interfered did the war die down.

No one really knows what happened after that, but the goddesses suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth.

Due to the hostility that had formed due to war, the races involved distanced themselves.

Nowadays, the Myriad Yore Continent that was once tens of millions of miles long was divided. One half was known as the Egalitarian Realm, where there was no discrimination between races. The other half was split into two parts majorly: Demon Realm and Beast Realm.

Apart from that, the world was also divided into two dimensions: Living Dimension and Death Dimension. They were completely cut off from each other.

"There doesn't seem to be any changes in the history of the world," Seth muttered. World history was similar to what he remembered.

Obviously, as a person who has played this game a lot, he has a more profound understanding of historical events than native people.

Like why those seven goddesses appeared one day suddenly; why three goddesses fought; where they have all disappeared to. Nevertheless, that information doesn't play any crucial role, for now, so he didn't dwell much on it.

Common beliefs and knowledge. Polygamy is the norm here, thankfully. Slavery is legal, irrespective of race. Monsters… exist. Over half of the Egalitarian Realm is unexplored. Ten percent is uncharted territory.

The journal of magi was a pretty interesting book. It depicts the life story of a wandering mage who wants to change the world order and make this world a monogamous society. Of course, he ultimately failed and was burned at the stake.

The fairytale was, well, boring, to be honest. It was your typical hero, heroine, dragon fantasy book for children. Seth read it halfway through before putting it back on the shelf.

By the time he was done, seven hours had already passed.

"Young lord Seth, your mother is calling you for dinner."

Seth was engrossed in another book on religious text and scriptures sacred to humanity, the bible of sorts in this world when he heard someone calling him.

It was the maid catgirl from earlier.

Seth nodded with a smile that sent the catgirl in a daze. He stood up and pointed to the books sprawled out on the floor: "Have someone put these back? Hello?"

"Right away!" She snapped out of her haze and hurriedly responded with a light blush.

"What's your name?" Seth asked as he looked at the girl. Although her beauty wasn't near his family of three, she was still a young beauty.

"Ah, its Nala."

"Nala, a cute name. Well, Nala. I have a question for you."

"What is it?" At first, Nala blushed hearing his compliment, and then she glanced at him doubtfully.

Seth said with an amiable smile: "I am really curious about your tail. Can I touch it?"

"What? This…" Nala looked surprised.

"Is there any problem?"

"There's not exactly a problem, but…."

"What is it?"

"…my mother said that only my future husband can touch my tail," Nala said with her head lowered down, not daring to look at Seth after denying his request. Her sleek black tail and two cat ears also dropped down, making her look like an abused animal.

Seth almost gave in to his sadistic urges after witnessing her tamed outlook. Taking a deep breath, he nodded. "Since it's like that, then alright."

Saying so, he turned around and started going towards the doorway leading out of the library.

Seeing him letting her off so easily, Nala was taken aback. She thought that he would definitely force her. But as it turned out, he was completely different from what she expected.

"U-um! Young lord, Wait!" She thought for a moment, then called out to stop Seth.

"Is there anything?" Seth glanced back at her with a smile.

That bright smile made Nala's heartbeat speed up once more. 'My God, he is so handsome!' She exclaimed inside her mind.

"No, it's just that…" she bit her lips lightly and continued after making up her mind, "touching a few times should be fine. But you can only touch my ears!"

"Really?" Seth quickly came over to her with an excited look in his eyes. He was really curious about those ears.

"Hmm." Nala nodded hesitantly.

Receiving the acknowledgment, Seth didn't delay further. He stretched out his arm excitedly and touched her cat ears.

"Nyah…" Nala moaned all of a sudden.

Seth was surprised by her reaction, but then he smiled. He began stroking her cat ears slowly. They felt soft and boneless to touch. He rubbed her ears between his thumb and index finger before lifting another arm and grabbing her other ear.

"Young lord… shouldn't that be enough?" Nala asked embarrassedly. She felt weird when he touched her ears. She was experiencing this feeling for the first time.

"Just a little bit more…" Seth said.

Hearing this, she stood straight, her hand clutching her skirt tightly, allowing Seth to play with both of her cat ears wantonly.

While he was doing so, Nala kept squirming, eyes shut tightly and face flushed. Nala could do nothing but endure this weird feeling. Her nipples were shamefully hardened while her lower body was leaking love juices.

As time went on, the frequency of her moans increased. Seeing her state, Seth suddenly went behind her and bit her ears with his mouth out of nowhere.

"Nyah~" Nala half moaned, half exclaimed in shock as her body convulsed hard. Seth licked her ears as she shuddered for a good minute. Her feet wobbled after she came out of her orgasm, but Seth quickly caught her waist.

"Are you alright?" Then, his soft, concerned voice made its way into her ears.

Nala's face looked like it was bleeding. She couldn't believe what she had just done. She jumped away from his embrace and ran away, saying: "I-I am fine!"

Seeing her running away as transparent liquid trailed down her white thighs, Seth licked his lips and smirked. "What a cutie."
