Chapter 5

"Haaaaa.... Ha!" Jackie Chun use Thunder Shock Surprise.

'I can't dodge it!!' Yamcha thought instantly.

If Yamcha didn't suppress his power, he definitely could evade the Thunder Shock Surprise.

"Ugghh" Yamcha can fell the electric current shocked his entire body.

"Yamcha!!"

"Yamcha-sama!!"

Bulma and Puar screamed.

"I can't move my body!" Yamcha can't even move his hands to do anything.

"Give up young man!" Jackie Chun warned.

Yamcha didn't have other choice. He can't use pure power to break out of Thunder Shock Surprise as he wanted to keep his power supressed.

His other choice is to use hi Ki.

"Haaaaaa... HAH!!" Yamcha burst out hi Ki and break the Thunder Shock Surprise lock.

Jackie Chun receive a backlash from the forced break of his Thunder Shock Surprise.

"What!! He can break my Thunder Shock Surprise!" Jackie Chun genuinely surprised.

Not only Jackie Chun, all the audience surprised with what happened on the arena. They felt like the fight is out of their logic.

'No... I can't lose against the younger generation just yet.' Jackie Chun have his own pride as a martial artist, because he is Master Roshi.

"Haahhhh!" Jackie Chun use his full power.

"Let's have a good fight! Old man!" Yamcha still didn't use his full power but he definitely not going to underestimate his opponent.

The two fight valiantly as they managed to land hit to each other, but Yamcha still have the upper hand as he land more hit than Jackie Chun.

The audience cheered so loudly seeing a super exciting fight between two fighters.

Some cheering for Jackie Chun.

Some cheering for Yamcha.

Some cheering for the both of them.

After a few minutes of exchange, the two fighters break out and take a distance from each other.

"Get ready young man, I will unleash my trump card!" Jackie Chun taking his stance.

"Bring it on!" Yamcha knew that a Kamehameha is coming.

"Ka... Me... Ha... Me.." Jackie Chun do the signature move of Kamehameha.

"Haaaaaa...." Yamcha also taking his stance with both hands spread wide like Vegeta's Final Flash and start to control his Ki.

"HAAA!"

"HAAA!"

The two fighters thrust both their palms forward and a blast of Ki shoot out.

With a bang! Jackie Chun's Kamehameha and Yamcha's Ki Blast crashed producing a quite strong shockwave shocking all the audience.

When the shockwave is ceased and all the audience manage to see what happened on the arena They saw Yamcha still standing on the floor.

They looked at the other side of the arena... where is Jackie Chun ? But after they searching for him again, they finally saw Jackie Chun out of the arena.

Jackie Chun is out!

'The younger generation really does surpass the previous generation.' Thought Master Roshi after he experienced Yamcha strength.

The announcer do his job and shouted with his microphone. "Jackie Chun is out of the arena! The winner of this outstanding first battle is YAMCHAAAA!!!"

The audience's cheer broke out again.

Yamcha really got surprised with the fighting prowess of Master Roshi.

He knew that Master Roshi's battle power only around 180 with his full strength.

But when he unleash his full power Kamehameha, it's strength almost doubled.

If Yamcha have an equal battle power and Ki energy, the outcome would be different than now.

That showed him that never underestimate a veteran fighter like Master Roshi.

'I think the Thunder Shock Surprise technique is quite good.' Thought Yamcha.

"T-too strong!! Are they really humans ?" Krillin knowing his next enemy is Yamcha, he felt like it is impossible for him to win.

"My blood is boiling right now!! Uwoohhhh!!!" Goku get super excited after seeing Yamcha and Jackie Chun fight.

"Because of the damage from the first battle, we will have one hour break to at least clean the rubbles. Please be patient." The announcer told the audience about the committee decision.

After one hour of cleaning, the tournament continued. With the break, the hyped atmosphere also calmed down.

The second battle : Krillin VS Bacteria

With low morale, Krillin have a little bit trouble fighting against Bacteria but in the end because of big difference in strength, Krillin able to win against Bacteria.

Third battle : Nam VS Ranfan

Even though Ranfan done every trick that she could do, Nam still managed to win against her.

Fourth battle : Son Goku VS Giran

Son Goku with high morale, he manage to win the fight quickly against Giran.

Semi-final, first battle : Yamcha VS Krillin

Krillin able to stick himself together and Yamcha give him some chance to bring out his full strength. Still, with a big difference in Battle Power Yamcha won against Krillin.

Semi-final, second battle : Nam VS Son Goku

In this fight, Nam able to fight back against Son Goku and land some hit. Still, Goku is stronger. He kick Nam out of the ring and won the battle.

Final Match : Yamcha VS Son Goku

The audience now hyped with all the previous fights and can't help but anticipating something amazing for this final match.

The Final Match begin, Yamcha really does have trouble fighting against Son Goku.

With Yamcha suppress his strength to almost equal, Son Goku who is a Saiyan really have an amazing endurance and persistence. Son Goku also is a martial arts genius, in this fight Goku able to grow stronger giving some more pressure to Yamcha.

Even though Yamcha able to land much more hit on Son Goku, little by little Goku starting to evade more Yamcha attacks and land more attacks to Yamcha.

If Yamcha use his full strength, he would be able to overwhelm Goku with pure strength. But Yamcha didn't choose to unleash his full strength, as this fight really give him the stimulant he needed in battle.

The fight really is worthy to be a final match.

But Yamcha forget something crucial.

Somehow, Son Goku gazing at the full moon far up in the sky. It's almost an evening and the full moon could be seen already.

'Shit!' Yamcha instantly unleash his full strength and blast out a Ki Blast without helding back any last bit strength it's blowing Goku off the arena then fly off so fast that he almost appeard behind Son Goku who still flew away in a blink of an eye.

Using his full strength Yamcha hit Goku's back head slamming Goku to the ground but it's still to late, Goku's body showing some change.

But Yamcha didn't stop there, he chased Son Goku again.

Just right when goku trying to get up, Yamcha slam him down again with his foot then grabbed Goku's tail.

Son Goku's body now starting to grow and hair starting to cover his body.

Yamcha acted fast. He compressed his Ki to covering his right hand and make a Ki Blade. As his left hand grabbed tight Goku's tail, with a powerful swing of his right hand Yamcha succeded in cutting off the tail.

Seeing that Goku didn't turned to the Great Ape, Yamcha breath out a sigh of relief. He take out one senzu bean and helped the unconsciouss Son Goku eat it by moving Goku's mouth using hands.

Seeing senzu beans taking effect and healing all Son Goku's injury, Yamcha then landed on his butt.

He really forgot about the original story where Son Goku turned into the Great Ape.

In the eyes of the audiences, everything just happened in a breath. They barely could follow what happened.

All they could see is that Son Goku already slammed to the ground and Yamcha appeared to cut Son Goku's tail off.

The announcer also a little bit stunned, only after a few moments that he managed to do his job.

"That's iiiittttt!!! Son Goku is out of the arena!!! The winner of 21st World Martial Arts Tournament is... YAMCHAAAAA!!!!

"WWWOOOOAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

The crowd finally snapped out their stunned state and cheered out loud knowing the winner of the outstanding 21st Martial Arts Tournament is really an extraordinary and young martial artist.

After all the needed closing ceremony, Yamcha accept the winner prize of five hundred thousand zeni.

Son Goku also regain conscious as the senzu bean healing his body back to peak state.

The group gathered to have a dinner together. They asked Goku if he was fine as Yamcha cut his tail off, but after Goku said he is just fine the others' worry is gone.

Yamcha then explain why he cut off Son Goku's tail. Son Goku also told them about his grandpa's warning to not look at a full moon.

Believing the story, everyone break a cold sweat and also warning Son Goku to not look at full moon.

"Hahaha... it's fine now, with Goku's tail cut off, he won't turn to a giant ape even though he is looking at full moon." Comfort Yamcha to everyone.

"Now, let's eat! It's on me tonight!" Said Yamcha.

The good things keep coming to Yamcha. First, because of Yamcha fed Son Goku a senzu bean, Son Goku didn't eat as much as the original story where it cost almost all of the prize money Master Roshi got.

But unexpectedly the owner of the restaurant recognized Yamcha who is the winner of 21st World Martial Arts Tournament. He said that all the things that they eat is on the house. They even bring out their best drinks and dishes making Yamcha felt so lucky.

Maybe in the original story because the winner is Jackie Chun who is Master Roshi in disguise, the owner didn't care with the group. But now he recognized Yamcha.

In return, the owner asked for a pic together and Yamcha's signature.

When they done with their dinner party, Master Roshi and Krillin are going back to Kame House, while Son Goku is going to look for his grandpa's four-star dragon ball and then with flying nimbus, Son Goku is going right away.

On the next day, Yamcha and Bulma have their date for the whole day and finally went back to West City at night with Oolong and Puar also.

It's only been two days since the World Martial Arts Tournament, unexpectedly Son Goku showed up at Bulma's house.

Son Goku come back to ask Bulma to fix the dragon balls radar. After Bulma fixed it easily, Bulma wanted to come along with Son Goku.

Bulma also asked Yamcha if he wanted to come along. Of course Yamcha went to come along too.

Bulma rushed to get her capsules. Knowing that Bulma would mistakenly took her father's capsule case, Yamcha bring Bulma's capsule case with him.

The three then go to where the next dragon ball located with full speed, Son Goku ride on Flying Nimbus while Yamcha just flying with Bulma hugging him.

"Woww, Yamcha you can fly!" Said Son Goku surprised.

"Yeah, want me to teach you?" Offer Yamcha.

"Nope, I'm just fine with Flying Nimbus." Son Goku shook his head.

As for Bulma, she knew it already that Yamcha can fly so she didn't say anything.

Even with their speed, they still taking quite a while until they arrived above the sea. The radar showing that a dragon ball is nearby, when they look at the exact location they found that the dragon ball is under the sea.

Son Goku jumped into the sea right away. After a few moments, Son Goku swim back up.

"The sea is too deep!!" Told Son Goku to Bulma and Yamcha who still flying.

"look like we need to use a submarine." Said Bulma while reaching her pocket to get her capsule case.

"Oh no! I mistakenly took my father's capsule case!" Bulma panicked.

"I knew that you would mistook your father's capsule case. Here, I bring your capsule case with me." Yamcha give Bulma her capsule case.

"Woaahhh! You're the best!!" Bulma kissed Yamcha on his cheek.

Bulma took out one capsule, push it and threw it into the sea.

With a poof, a submarine floating on the sea.

The three get inside the submarine and let Yamcha drive it.

Before they submerged, looks like the General Blue of Red Ribbon Army noticed Bulma's submarine.

General Blue ordered some soldiers to follow them.

When Yamcha just drive the submarine inside a cave deep under the sea, the Red Ribbon Army's soldiers saw them.

The soldier reported to General Blue. General Blue order all the soldiers available to go after the submarine with him.

But when the Red Ribbon Army's submarines just submerge, Yamcha, Bulma and Goku already arrived at the pirate's cove.

In there, they attacked by a big skeleton robot. Like always, Yamcha just let Goku take care of the enemy.

Right when Goku defeat the skeleton robot, Yamcha can sense that the Red Ribbon Army is close.

"Goku, there are enemies, let's go, We need to quickly find the dragon ball." Said Yamcha.

They quickly run following the dragon ball radar. On the way they found a big treasure box full of gemstones, pearls, and golds.

Bulma's eyes shining so bright when she saw the treasures.

"Bulma, quick!" Said Son Goku.

"Wait for a minute!" Bulma reach for her capsule case to take a storage capsule.

After she managed to store the treasure box inside the capsule, General Blue saw Yamcha and friends.

"So it is you!" General Blue look at Son Goku.

Like all the common villains, General Blue command all his soldiers first to fight Son Goku in which Son Goku easily defeat the soldiers. Only then General Blue fight Son Goku himself.

Son Goku easily beat General Blue, but General Blue show his trump card.

General Blue telekinesis power paralyze Son Goku's body.

The situation flipped, Son Goku ended up as punching bag for General Blue. After satisfied beating Son Goku up, General Blue finally decided to end it and kill Son Goku.

"Yamcha! Help Son Goku!" Bulma finally asked Yamcha.

Within a breath, Yamcha appeared behind General Blue and kick him right in the face sending him flew away banging the cave wall.

With one kick, General Blue knocked unconscious and Son Goku freed from the paralyze.

Yamcha take out a senzu bean from a pouch tied at his waist.

"Here, eat this." Yamcha give it to Son Goku.

With senzu bean, Son Goku recover his strength back and his stomach feel full.

"Wooww, what is that bean?" Asked Son Goku.

"Senzu bean." Answer Yamcha.

"Where did you get that senzu bean?" Bulma asked Yamcha too.

"Well, I got it from someone who taught me martial arts." Told Yamcha.

"The person who teach you martial arts?" This is the first time Bulma heard about the person taught Yamcha martial arts.

"I'll tell about him later, let's get the dragon ball first and get out of here." Suggest Yamcha.

"Okay then." Bulma nodded.

They found the dragon ball easily and then left the hidden pirate's cove.

Without stop, Yamcha, Bulma and Son Goku go to the next destination where the dragon ball are.

Their next destination is the Sacred Land of Korin.

When they arrived at the base of Korin Tower, Yamcha meet Bora and Upa again which is definitely a happy occasion.

Yamcha introduce Bulma and Son Goku to Bora and Upa.

Not long when they still happily have conversation, Red Ribbon Army lead by General Yellow arrived to take the dragon ball.

With Yamcha and Son Goku there, General Yellow and his soldiers easily eliminated.

On Red Ribbon Army Headquarters.

"Damn!! What the hell is happen... Call Taopaipai!!" The leader of Red Ribbon Army decided to hired Taopaipai who known as the strongest assassin in the world.

Back to Yamcha and group.

"Yamcha-niichan, where is Puar?" Upa asked Yamcha.

"Ah, Puar is at West City." To be honest, Yamcha forgot to also bring Puar with him.

"Is that so." Upa felt a little disappinted because Puar is the closest with Upa.

"So is there something you need by coming here, Yamcha?" Bora asked.

"Yes, we are looking for dragon ball." Yamcha nodded.

"Dragon ball?" Said Bora.

"It's a yellow crystal ball with orange stars inside it." Clear Yamcha.

"Ooh, so that thing is dragon ball, I have it with me." Bora stand up and walked to his tent then come back with dragon ball in his hand.

"Is this what you all looking for?" Bora showed the Four-star dragon ball.

"That's grandpa's dragon ball! I finally found it!" Son Goku shouted happily.

"So you are looking for this. Here..." Bora give the dragon ball to Son Goku.

"Thanks!!" Son Goku happily accepted the dragon ball and keep it inside his clothes.

Yamcha stand up and feel that someone is coming.

"Goku there is an enemy coming." Said Yamcha.

Everyone become alert.

Then from far away, Taopaipai standing on a flying pillar. When the pillar just about to stabbed the ground he jumped off the pillar and landed smoothly near Yamcha and the others.

Looking at everyone, Taopaipai stop his eyes on Son Goku.

"There you are boy. Give me the balls then I'll kill you quickly." Said Taopaipai.

"Who are you?" Asked Son Goku.

"I am the greatest assassin Taopaipai. I am hired by Red Ribbon Army to kill you and take the balls." Explain Taopaipai.

Just when Bora wanted to step up to fight Taopaipai, Yamcha stopped him from walking to his own death.

"Just let him to Son Goku." Said Yamcha.

Taopaipai suddenly vanished and appeared near Goku throwing a kick, but Goku managed to block it and try to kick back.

"You!!" Taopaipai evade Son Goku's kick. He didn't expect the boy to be this strong.

'Woah, unexpectedly Goku able to fight Taopaipai even before he climb Korin's Tower.' Yamcha also didn't expect this.

Taopaipai didn't use Dodonpa right away like in the original story. He fight Son Goku first to gain upper hand.

When Son Goku felt he is already in a big disadvantage he unleash Kamehameha caught Taopaipai of guard.

"Kamehamehaa!!"

Taopaipai could only crossing his hand to cover his head from ki wave of Kamehameha from Son Goku.

With injured and almost naked body, Taopaipai retaliated with his full power unleashing his strongest attack.

"DODONPA!!"

Like a laser, Ki attack from Taopaipai hit Son Goku chest directly.
