The Souls of The Two Shall Awaken

"Hann?"

"Renn?"

The twins found themselves floating in a golden void. Bright white orbs twinkled around the twins that seemed to be calling out to them.

"Where are we?"

"...Are we dreaming?"

Feeling the presence of the twins, the white orbs suddenly moved as if they're coming to life.

The orbs gathered and circled around the twins, creating a mesmerizing scene akin to white stars shining in a golden void of space.

Rohann and Zorenn observed the scene happening around them with wonder. Their eyes glowed their respective colors as the orbs started getting closer and closer.

One of the orbs shrunk and entered the forehead of Rohann. His glowing eyes seemed to have gone in a trance as he stared at something in front of him.

"Hann?..." Zorenn called out to his twin brother after he saw Rohann go silent when that white orb entered his head.

Zorenn was about to reach a hand out to Rohann when a white orb also flew to him.

Zorenn reacted too late and the white orb entered his head. A moment later, Zorenn was in the same state as Rohann.

The young twins floated there in the void as the white orbs relentlessly and rhythmically flew one by one inside their heads.

"Give me that!"

"We need this more than you!"

The commotion caught the attention of Rohann. He turned his back to see a young boy the same age as him being bullied by older and bigger kids.

The boy on the ground was reeling in pain after being punched in the gut by the older kids. He let go of the bread he clutched in his hands from the pain.

One of the older kids took the bread and ran, only to be chased by his companions.

"Hey! That's not yours!"

"Get back here!"

Rohann paid no attention to the older kids as his eyes were glued to the young boy on the ground.

The boy looked so small and frail. He swept his black hair from the front of his face as his red eyes seethed with rage while looking at where the bullies ran off to.

Rohann couldn't help but be amazed by what the small kid that looked to be the same age as him did afterwards. The kid got up and ran to chase the bullies with no fear apparent in his eyes.

Rohann couldn't help but feel familiar with the fearless boy who ran to chase those who were stronger than him.

---------------------

Zorenn found himself standing beside a young girl crouching behind a tree. The young girl's blue eyes were focused on the small clearing in front of her as if she was waiting for something.

Zorenn saw how dirty the white hair of the girl looked and tried to reach out to dust off the dirt and leaves that marred her white locks.

When his hand was about to reach the young girl's hair, Zorenn heard noises coming towards them.

Zorenn and the young girl perked up at the same time and looked at the commotion happening.

"Hey! That's mine!"

"No! It's mine! I'm the one who made him let go of his bread!"

A group of boys bickered and seemed to be fighting over a piece of bread. Zorenn formed an image in his head.

'So this is what Dudri would look like if he was poor…' Zorenn chuckled at the image in his head.

His attention was brought back to the young girl beside him. The young girl crouched low and took a small handsaw that was strategically placed on the ground.

Zorenn watched as the young girl silently circled the tree and started sawing.

Zorenn looked closely and saw that most of the thick tree had already been sawed off and was barely standing up.

He turned his attention back to the girl who was sawing what was left of the barely hanging one tree. Her hands and arms worked as sweat flowed down the sides of her face.

Her eyes were focused and her face told Zorenn that she needed to do this.

A few moments later, the young girl successfully sawed off what was left from her unfinished work. She went around the tree, back to her original position where Zorenn saw her, and pushed.

The thick tree started falling and the boys who were bickering with each other didn't notice. They realized too late what was happening.

The tree toppled down and its trunk fell down on one of the boys' legs. The boy screamed in pain as he felt his legs break from the weight of the fallen tree.

Zorenn saw a big grin form on the young girl's face as she ran on top of the fallen tree towards the boy.

The young girl reached her target and jumped down on the boy. Her feet stomped the boy's chest before pounding the boy's face with her small fists.

"DON'T! YOU! EVER! TAKE! MY! FOOD! AGAIN!" The young girl screamed between her punches.

Zorenn looked at the ferocious young girl with his mouth agape. If not for her blue eyes, Zorenn realized that the young girl in front of him looked like… their mother.

That was all Zorenn could think of before the world around him blurred in a golden color.

---------------------

Rohann ran alongside the fearless boy. He saw the boy's determination to get back to what those older kids did to him.

The boy was able to chase them by following the commotion ahead of him. He ran through the streets and followed the signs of recent disturbance.

Eventually, Rohann saw the boy stop at a clearing. Rohann and the boy both stopped at the sight in front of them.

A young girl was beating up one of the boys who took his bread. Rohann and the boy watched as the young girl punched and kicked until she ran out of strength.

The young girl plopped down on the ground beside the boy she beat up. The bully's face was swollen and he was crying pitifully.

Rohann turned his attention back to the young boy that he ran alongside with. The young boy walked to the young girl who was on the ground.

"Did they bully you, too?" The young boy asked the young girl before reaching out his hand for her to take.

The young girl stared at the newcomer who was around her age before taking the hand that the young boy extended to her.

Rohann watched the boy pull the girl up from the ground as his eyes slightly narrowed. The scene in front of him looked so familiar.

"Yeah. They took my food yesterday. They always do that… I had enough." The young girl answered before delivering one last kick to the face of the bully she beat up..

"You? Did they bully you too?" The young girl asked the boy who helped her up.

"Yeah… I had enough as well." The young boy said before kicking the bully in the face as well.

The two young children paused before laughing in glee together.

"What's your name? I've never seen a girl beat up an older boy like that." The young boy asked the brave and strong girl.

"I'm Zorenn." The girl said as she extended a hand for the boy in front of her to shake.

Rohann was shocked to hear that the girl had the same name as his twin brother. He froze in his spot as he listened attentively to what the boy's name will be.

"I'm…" The young boy said.

Rohann couldn't hear what the boy's name was as the world around him blurred in a golden color.

---------------------

Zorenn found himself inside what looked to be a laboratory of sorts. His eyes explored his gaze and looked at the mysterious tools and countless books that covered every inch of the big room.

There he saw at the center of the room sat a young woman fiddling with something on her work table.

Books and metallic tools were placed at the sides of the table as the woman looked as if she was crafting something at the center of the table.

Zorenn walked closer and saw her etching some engravings on a 7-inch black metallic rod. The young woman concentrated her full attention on what she was doing.

Zorenn observed the intriguing young woman with interest. A few seconds later, he realized that this woman was the girl he saw earlier.

"I"M DONE! HAHAHA! I ACTUALLY DID IT!" The young woman cheered in delight as she took what she crafted in her hands and twirled around the room.

Her sorceress robes that would have showed a dignified look fluttered around as the young woman danced like a happy little girl.

"Hehe! Should I test this out~?" The young woman spoke to herself as she clutched the black rod in one hand.

She flourished it and the rod turned into a sword. She waved it again and the sword turned into a shield. She then made a stabbing motion and the shield turned into a spear. She twirled it around and the spear turned into a staff.

"Hehe! Perfect! He'll definitely have to help me out now. Just you wait, Hann!" The woman spoke and hummed in delight as she walked out of the room.

Zorenn froze when he heard the name of his twin brother before his world once again blurred in a golden color.

---------------------

"ALL HAIL THE GRAND MASTER!"

"HAIL!"

"HAIL!"

"HAIL!"

An army of soldiers roared as they cheered for the leading figure that stood imposingly in front of them.

Rohann's attention was glued to the back of this imposing and powerful figure.

The young man in his eyes wore a sleek black light armor that covered most of his body. He wore no helmet and his black hair fluttered in the wind.

Rohann didn't need to see the face of the young man to know that he was looking at the small boy who was bullied earlier.

The soldiers cheered with vigor as if there was no tomorrow. Hearing the cheering of his soldiers, the young man stood as straight as he could.

Rohann witnessed this incredible and powerful scene. He saw the young man in front slowly turn around.

The young man scanned the faces of his soldiers. Rohann saw the young man's red eyes glint in power.

A moment later, Rohann shook. He felt the young man in front of him lock his red eyes… on him.

"ALL HAIL THE GRAND MASTER! SIR ROHANN!"

The last hurrah was all the young Rohann could hear before his world blurred in a golden color.

---------------------

All the white orbs spun around the small bodies of the twins who were still staring listlessly in front of them.

White orbs entered their heads one by one. As the orbs grew lesser, the golden color of the void grew brighter.

When the last white orbs entered Rohann and Zorenn's heads, the golden void flashed in a bright white color.

---------------------

Rohann woke up with a start. He suddenly sat down as he felt his white hair stick to the sides of his face from his sweat.

Rohann turned his gaze beside him to see Zorenn in the same state. Zorenn looked back at him with his blue and red eyes that were currently glowing.

The twins stared at each other in wonder as if they were waiting for each other to speak first.

"Was… that a dream?" Zorenn said to Rohann, already knowing what the answer was.

The Grand Master and the Supreme Sorciere have awakened.

Hi guys!

Sorry to say, but I'm becoming busy with school and rushing around in preparing the requirements I need to submit to enter college.

Expect that updates will become slower some time in the near future. But who knows, maybe I'll pull through and stay consistent?

If I can be honest, keeping up this writing quality while handling irl responsibilites is rather tiring. I'm beginning to feel the signs of burning out and I really don't want that to happen.

This story is already clearly formed in my mind and I don't want to lose motivation to write it. So again, apologies if updates will be slow.

But I will promise one thing. All shall witness the end of the Rohann and Zorenn's journey.
