My peace and quiet up in the tree was disturbed by a bully. 'Seriously, we just resumed and you are already bulling the juniors.' I thought.

I came down just in time to stop a punch. The bully looked at my chest before looking at my face. I checked his level and I saw a level 189. I could clearly see the determination in his eyes after seeing my level. He didn't even say anything as he rushed a punch towards me.

I held his fist in my hand and he made a shocked look on his face. He tried to forcefully jerk his hand back but it wouldn't even budge. I moved his hand towards me and up and his whole body followed, hitting the ground.

I ignored his groans as I walked towards to student on the floor who looked to had fainted.To me, it was obvious that he was faking his unconsciousness. "Get up, I know you are faking it."

The boy slowly opened his eyes and he saw the bully on the floor with me in front of him. Putting two and two together, he realized that I saved him and he bowed down thanking me. I had to bring him up because I wasn't comfortable.

As he stood up, I noticed his features and I saw all I saw was a brown haired skinny kid. He was all bones and flesh. Even he's cheekbones were showing. "Hi, my name is Leon. Leon Ritsuki."

"Kevin Paragus" I said as I went in for a hand shake. Leon's body seemed to freeze as he heard my surname. He went down on his knees again and shouted "Your highness!." I brought him up again and I had to tell him to not call me that.

"See, just treat me as a friend. Nothing more." I said.

"Aaaaah!!. I'm gonna give you a punch if it's the last thing I do!." shouted the already standing bully. I caught his hand once again and I threw him without holding back which made him hang in the tree branches.

"Let's go." Since it was a lesson free day, we went to my apartment and with nothing else to do, we asked about each others background even though it seemed like a one sided questioning.

Overall, Leon was a kid with a dead father, a struggling mother and he had two siblings. He had a crazy master that made him train ridiculously. He was taken away when he awakened and he hadn't seen his mother since then.

I used the <Analyse> skill on him and I found out he was still a peak rank 2.

I found out something interesting. It turns out non - system holders can still have stats but not have a way of seeing it and even more there was this trust meter stuff. It said I could trust Leon like family.

Since it was already dark, I decided to go sleep and I invited Leon to sleep with me. The apartment was too big for a five year old anyways.

NEXT DAY

Leon and I gulped down breakfast as we took our things and rushed off. While I kept my things inside my dimension, Leon kept his inside a storage ring that his master gave him.

As we went, we could see people running. We wondered what was happening and we asked a senior who told us that the second warning bell had been rung for class. People who come after the third one shall be punished severely.

Leon and I looked at each other and we nodded. We took off at full speed hitting every obstacle in our way. Books and people flew about as we ran.

The shrill sound of the bell passed through our ears as we continued to run. We made it in time for the bell to ring, one second after we entered.

We took our seats by the middle row beside each other. The teacher came in and introduced himself. "My name is Mr. Smith. I'll be your homeroom teacher for the rest of the year."

"Let's get straight to the point, Winland Academy is a place where we gather the most talented people with excellent magic affinities. This school academic session is divided into a total of ten years. All of you shall graduate at 15 years.

You only get to see your parents once every year and school lessons start at 7:00am. Coming a second after the fixed time shall bring a punishment.

In this academy, there are a total of 10ranks which brings different colors of shoulder straps." He pointed to a silver strap on his shoulder.

The ranks and colours are as follows;

(1) F - dull grey

2) E - light grey

(3) D - white

(4) C - dark blue

(5) B - purple

(6) A - light red

(7) A+ - dark red

(8) S - yellow

(9) SS - black and yellow

(10) SSS - black

* snort *. A loud sound came from the back of the class and everyone turned. We could see a boy with metallic silver hair snoring at the back because of the boring lesson.

A coin whizzed past our heads and we saw it hit the student, whacking him down. "Ungh, dad is that you?" the boy asked. He was seeing Mr Smith and mistook him for his father.

"Wake up Razan!" said the teacher in a stern voice. The kid jolted up at the sound of the voice. He scurried to his seat and he sat down firmly.

The teacher continued the lesson. " lYou children are still at rank F which means a dull grey shoulder strap for you. Dungeons shall be open to you guys in your third years.
