"Anything I can help you with, Kitsune?" I asked, trying to break the silence with the white fox beside me.
Though he was pretty close to me, Tomoe never touched me nor had a perverted expression on his face. It was always a pet peeve to have someone sit so close to me. And the fox's eyes held a curious look instead of a lustful one.
"Yes. Did you happen to be in my previous world? I'm asking since you did hint to everyone that you weren't from this realm. The Aura you emit is fascinating now that I've got a good look at it. It's different from the ones in this realm. Do you know that every Mage's Aura is unique?"
Ah, this fox has piqued my curiosity.
"What do you mean by that, Tomoe?" I asked, giving the fox a sweet smile.
"It seems that I've gotten your attention. Each Mage has a unique pattern of Auras. New or low-ranking Mages have no control of the shape of their Aura and are naturally messy compared to Mages like the Founders. For example, Z's Aura is usually Ice or Water seeping into the area."
"For Baldwin, heavy dark mist or fog can suck out any small signs of life around the area. I was saying that your Aura is unique because it takes the form of wings. And not the typical two wings like Ysabeau or Mavislin... You had three pairs of wings."
I nearly spat out my drink when Tomoe blurted out that sentence. I... What?! I turned to look at Mavislin for confirmation, only for the Valkyrie to nod in agreement with the Kistune's observations.
"I don't blame you for not knowing since you can't see your Aura during a battle unless you've got a reflective surface. And the true shape of your Aura will only be activated when you are using a strong spell, like your Original Spell."
"My Elemental Aura, according to Mavislin and Raiyen, is eight blue tails made out of fire coming out from my tail."
"What were my wings like? Were they all the same or different?" I asked.
"Well, the wings were vastly different as they were made out of contrasting Elements. Fire, Water, Wind in the form of a green wing with small gusts of winds surrounding it, Darkness, Earth, and Light. It was as colorful and beautiful as your eyes, to the point that I might fall for them."
"My eyes? They are very normal and boring compared to Mr. Dark Purple and Black eyes," I commented as I pointed to the young boy.
"During the fight against Duncan, when you were going to unleash your Original Spell, I noticed that your eyes changed from black to rainbow. If only I could capture that beautiful scene of an elegant lady with rainbow eyes wielding the Castle of Camelot..."
"I told you to stay away from her, right?" asked Baldwin, slightly annoyed that the Kitsune was making moves on me.
It was pretty adorable that Baldwin was acting like an overprotective father figure as I was visibly uncomfortable with Tomoe's sudden moves to get closer to me. Of course, I was in real danger, but I appreciate the effort.
"How could I? Such a beautiful and blessed lady is sitting at the dinner table. How am I supposed to stay away from her? And besides, seeing that battle made me all the more curious about her fighting style. It's an interesting mix of different sword techniques."
"When you were pulling out the slashes against Duncan, you mainly used a medieval sword fighting style. But when you wanted to strike by using your sword's tip, I felt that you were fluent in the style of Japanese sword fighting."
"There were several other foreign moves, and I would like to learn them from you once we've braved through this Mission. Is that alright, pretty rainbow eyes?" asked Tomoe, smirking.
Alright then... A date in the form of a duel? Splendid! Also, I had no clue my eyes had changed colors. Vania, did you know about this?
"Notice. Physical changes during high use of Elemental Energy are normal in this realm but not always permanent, depending on the severity of the spell. But yes, with continued usage of your Original Spell, you'll find your eyes changing into a different color."
Okay, so long it doesn't wound me, I should be fine. But back to the Kitsune...
"I heard that you will use the storm as a cover to get into the underground tunnels and not get detected by the enemies. How will you fare against such a calamity?" questioned Tomoe with a curious gaze.
As I continued eating my dessert, I thought about a few ways to go against the storm while using the least of my powers.
