The Regular System Emergence

*Ding*

[The system activation keyword 'airplane crash' has been said]

[Regular System activated]

[Your Exclusive '??? System' will be unlocked after fulfilling the ??? condition]

Aisam was completely shocked, his eyes wide open and his body frozen for a moment. "I have a System?" he thought, a slight smile appearing on his lips. Just then, a transparent screen materialized in front of his eyes.

*Ding

[Name: Aisam/Erebus]

[Age: 40/12]

[Race: Human]

[World: Earth/Elysiuma]

[Quests🔺❗]

[Stats🔺❗]

[???🔒]

[Condition ??? is necessary for unlocking your exclusive ??? System and additional features]

He stared at the screen, feeling confused because he couldn't recall how the system worked. One piece of information stood out to him the most.

"How am I supposed to get stronger with this? And 'Elysiuma'? What is that?"

His mind struggled, trying to remember his past experiences that now felt distant and unclear. Then, another screen appeared, adding to his confusion.

[Elysiuma: a fantastical world of magic, swords, diverse races, etc.]

[Unlock your exclusive ??? System for further insights.]

"In this fantasy world... not very useful info! Seriously! I could have figured that out pretty quickly. And what's up with this confusing question mark system?"

He felt frustrated by the mysterious answers from the system. But after a moment, he calmed down, taking a deep breath to clear his mind.

"What do I need to do to unlock this system? I remember it had question marks instead of instructions. Why would 'airplane crash' be the key to unlocking it?" These thoughts ran through his mind as a new idea popped up.

"Could 'airplane crash' be the key to unlocking this mysterious system? I don't remember any advanced technology existing in this fantasy realm," he pondered. He attempted to decode the system's hidden condition but drew a blank. "Forget it for now. I'll figure it out later. Let's explore the 'Stats' feature instead," he said in frustration. As he looked up, he saw that the screen displaying information about the world of 'Elysiuma' was above the system screen.

He tried to touch the screen but it disappeared when he thought about it. He realized it worked with his mind and clicked on the 'Stats' option.

??? Exclusive System 🔒

"After looking at my stats, I need to understand what they mean to get an idea of my strength," he said. Below each stat, a description quickly expanded to explain its meaning.

[Strength: Represents physical power, the ability to exert force.

Dexterity: Reflects agility, coordination, and balance. It affects actions requiring precision or finesse.

Constitution: Measures endurance and resilience. A higher constitution means better resistance to more physical strain and is less likely to succumb to diseases or poisons.

Vitality: Represents overall health and stamina. It affects how much physical activity you can sustain before becoming fatigued.

Mana: A measure of magical energy or power. Essential for casting spells and performing other magical feats.

Intelligence: Signifies mental acuity, memory capacity, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities. Higher intelligence means more adeptness at learning and understanding complex concepts.

Charisma: Reflects charm, persuasiveness, and leadership qualities. It influences interactions with others and can be crucial in negotiations or influencing crowds.

Luck: A measure of fortune or fate's favor. It can influence the outcome of chance events or provide unexpected benefits in situations.]

"Okay, so now I kinda understand the meaning of these," he thought, pondering his stats quietly.

Aisam looked at his stats for a moment and felt puzzled. "What's going on here? Even with my limited understanding, these stats look real" he thought, frustrated. Two things about his stats stood out to him.

"Why can't my stats go above 20? And why are they in decimal numbers?" he wondered. He decided to overlook the decimals and focus on the limit of 20, which made him uneasy.

"How will I get stronger if there's a cap on my stats?" he worried. Suddenly, a memory flashed in his mind.

"All right, the system. To unlock a better version, I might need to meet a specific condition. It can't just be about maximizing my stats; that's too easy for a special 'exclusive' system," he thought, contemplating deeply.

Realizing he was easily distracted, he cursed his own brain. "I need to concentrate and solve things one step at a time to survive in this possibly dangerous world," he thought, calming himself with deep breaths.

Deciding to first explore the whole system, he focused on his achievements and skills stats, leaving the stat limit for later.

"These symbols and question marks are starting to get on my nerves!" he thought, then started focusing on his skills.

[Childcare (Passive-Intermediate):

Ability to take care of a maximum of 2 children effortlessly for a long time without much rest, the maximum amount of time is 3 months]

"Why do I have a skill called 'childcare'? Has Erebus been looking after the kids here? But these kids are not that young anymore and can manage on their own. It seems pointless. I really don't like interacting with people unless it's necessary, especially kids," he thought, feeling frustrated. His optimism was fading as he observed the system's limitations.

"I'll just fend for myself if this system doesn't help," he decided, planning to explore the other features of the system. He checked his other available skill.

[Acting (Passive-Intermediate):

You're able to act however you want despite experiencing pain, emotional turmoil, and mental instability]

"Was he trying to be an actor? Probably not, since this is a fantasy world without paid actors. But it might come in handy," he thought, deciding not to think about it too much because it could be useful.

The only thing left in the stats panel was 'Achievements.'

[The Revenant: You're able to endure and restore 1 fatal situation or strike]

"When did Erebus get that? How could he survive a fatal blow at 12 and walk away unscathed?" he wondered. Checking his body for any signs of injury, but finding none, he saw his flawless, pale-white skin. "Oh well, it doesn't matter how he got it. If it helps me stay alive, it's good enough," he concluded, feeling content.

He closed the Stats panel and quickly opened the Quests panel, which revealed the following:

Daily Quests:

1. Run 10 km, Reward: 0.3 stat point to a random stat, Punishment: 0.1 decrease of one random stat

2. Do 100 sit-ups, Reward: 0.3 stat point to a random stat, Punishment: 0.1 decrease of one random stat

3. Do 100 push-ups, Reward: 0.3 stat point, Punishment: 0.1 decrease of one random stat

Punishment for failure to complete all daily quests: 0.6 stat decrease of a random stat

Note: Only variable stats can be decreased via stat points.

Weekly Quest:

Monthly Quest:

Achieve one new accomplishment.

Reward: A random skill related to that achievement

Punishment: Loss of one random skill

Reward for completing all daily, weekly, and monthly quests: Answering any one question of your choice

As he looked over the quests, a smile spread across his face.

"I'm happy I can get stronger this way. This will also lift some burdens off me and allow me to focus on my other plans if it works out as I hope," he thought with satisfaction as he considered the daily quests.

"These daily quests are a breeze! I used to do them effortlessly back on Earth. The real challenges lie in the weekly and monthly quests," he thought, feeling daunted by the prospect of completing those tasks as a seemingly 12-year-old boy.

"But it doesn't matter! No obstacle will stop me from completing them all. I'm determined to get my answer," he resolved, motivated by the rewards awaiting him at the end of the month if he completes all the quests, eager to find the solution to his most pressing question.
