The 'Test' Tournament [5]

Miko's POV:

"The first match of the fourth round is Kaelith against Miko Ashenvale," announced the professor's assistant.

"What have I come to?" Miko muttered. She stood up, flanked by four female servants holding plates of fruit for her to pick from, and two more acting as guards behind her.

"I can't believe I have to compete with wretched commoners undeserving of even my presence," she said, her words dripping with disdain as if she didn't care who might be offended.

With an air of arrogance, she walked confidently onto the circular dueling platform, her elegant sword adorned with crimson gems forged from the sturdiest metal money could buy.

Opposite her stood Kaelith, unaffected by her beauty, which blinded some onlookers to her inappropriate behavior.

Her long ginger hair cascaded down to just above her waist, the fiery strands framing her face and highlighting her mesmerizing dark crimson eyes.
