Reincarnated as a Fairy in the Beastworld

This is inspired by other beastworld stories but in a fantasy setting. The story and characters are my original work. ~°*°~ Miranda Lee was like any typical merchant trying to make an honest living in the black market. Okay, maybe not so honest, but nothing too crazy. The only difference was that her clients lived on opposite ends of the galaxy and mana robots were quick on her tail, trying to bring her to justice. Then she joined the rebellion against the mana AIs. They built a time machine to travel back to the past but the bots attacked. She died in the scuffle, still wondering whether or not she'd done the right thing. But what's this? She's reincarnated into a fantasy world as a fairy? Plus an AI came along for the ride? And why are all the beastmen so handsome and seductive?

Chapter 17

"Okay, that's fine too. I won't force you if you don't want to," he said and didn't continue to insist on it. "Do you have a name, little one?"

"Yes, you can call me Mira," she answered. "And it's not that I don't want to come out, I really can't." She didn't want him to know that she was out frolicking about in the wilderness au naturel but she ultimately chose to bite the bullet. "My clothes were ruined and now I don't have anything decent to put on."

"That's no problem." He didn't sound surprised by the revelation. "I'll have some brought for you." She could roughly see him through her link with Sher and his expression remained nonchalant. She felt relieved that he didn't question her about it. He probably assumed that they were ruined during her heat.

He didn't so much as turn his head when the wolf he'd brought along ran off back in the direction they came. It returned within seconds with a small bundle in its mouth. She was greatly impressed with how well-trained it was. That is, until it stopped beside Rex.

She realized that it was much bigger than she originally thought. Rex only came up to it's shoulders and he was clearly over six feet tall himself. That would mean that it was almost as big as an elephant. Sher had to be seeing it wrong. She couldn't fight the temptation and poked her head out to take another peek.

She was so small, invisible and quite some distance away from them. It was already amazing enough that they could converse without having to yell, and she even suspected that her voice was as small as she was. She watched in fascination as the wolf handed the clothes to Rex.

"Shall I toss them in?" he asked while looking her way. She couldn't see him clearly from how far she was, so how could he possibly see her? She nodded and when he didn't respond, she knew that he couldn't. Maybe he could just sense her general direction?

"Yes." She didn't keep him waiting and he tossed it towards her. The bundle easily passed through the barrier, landing just past the tree she was hiding behind. What an excellent aim plus great arm strength.

She didn't dare to transform into a human on the spot since he would definitely see her then. Unfortunately, she couldn't turn invisible in her human form since she couldn't manifest her wings. Needless to say, she couldn't fly either.

She stored the clothes in her space and flew to a Whiteleaf tree two minutes away, alighting in its hollow. She shifted and eagerly unwrapped the bundle; finding a pair of black pants, a black shirt, a brown coat, a cloak and brown boots.

She quickly wore the oversized clothes and they completely dwarfed her, but she was very pleased. They were clean, warm and comfortable. She finally felt like a civilised human again; society did have its merits.

She turned to leave the hollow when she realized that it was too high up and she wouldn't be able to get down the tree in her current form, not if she wanted to arrive with all her limbs intact. She instantly shifted back into a fairy and crawled out through the shirt's collar.

After collecting the fallen clothes, she hid behind the Whiteleaf tree before dressing up again. Her stomach rumbled and she remembered that she hadn't had breakfast yet. She was rather famished as she sat down under the tree.

She cupped her hands and drank the water that appeared in them. She'd stored some water from Sher's pool directly into her space since she didn't have any containers. She often swam in the pool but was always alright after drinking from it as a fairy and she could only hope that it was the same as a human.

Feeling refreshed, she ate some grapes, apples and pears. Her eyes lit up as she remembered the sugarcane in her garden. She would definitely be able to eat them in this form. Her tense muscles soon relaxed as she continued to eat.

Once she was satisfied, she started to slowly treck back to the Southern edge of the island. No, she wasn't cowardly dragging her feet; the boots were just too big for her to walk fast.

Okay, maybe that was a lame excuse but she also needed some time to gather her courage and wits about her. She felt that her body was fine and she wasn't feeling aroused anymore, but she only got more goosebumps the closer she got to the ledge.

She'd had the crazy idea that she might not be in the Milky Way galaxy anymore since finding herself on a floating island. It made no difference since she was no longer human anyway. But now, with the arrival of her guests, she made a wild guess.

Had she been reborn billions of years into a future where humans and animals had evolved to use mana? It would definitely explain both the man's and wolf's exaggerated abilities. Perhaps humans had finally achieved intergalactic travel?

She came to a stop a few feet away from barrier, just to be safe, and saw that the wolf had left. All in all, she estimated that she'd taken just over an hour to get back. Would Rex be angry? She saw his silver eyes widen as he stared at her in disbelief.

"Fe... female?" She heard him stutter for the first time. He couldn't hide the surprise on his face. Was there something on her face? She rubbed a hand over it and felt nothing. And why was he still calling her a female? Had he never seen a woman before?

"I already said that my name's Mira, didn't I?" She crossed her arms and raised a brow in question.

"I meant no offence... Mira," he seemed confused and hesitated for a moment. "Are you really a female?" Was the sky blue? He must've seen the look on her face because he didn't let her answer. "I apologise. Of course, you are. Your scent and pheromones are spread across the Deadlands for miles."

She was stunned speechless and her face turned red in shame. Was he being serious? How could he say that to her face? He looked straight into her eyes and continued, "Mira, perhaps... Do you not have any males? Did they die or..."

"Males? What do you mean?" Was she missing something here? Was she supposed to have multiple lovers around her since she was in heat?

"Have you not mated with any male, Mira?"

"M... mated?" she squeaked. What kind of conversation were they having? Now she knew why she had a bad feeling about the guy. He might be hot but he was definitely a pervert. "That's none of your concern."
