Chapter 70: Slums

"Youngster would you like the stay here for a couple of days?" asked the old man.

"Sure if you don't mind, though I'd like to ask if there's any auctions going on at the moment?"

Then Si Lan spoke up. "I heard word of an auction taking place in the next two days. I may be your guide if you so wish." says Si Lan.

"Sure why not."

Si Bu internally jumped in glee, as he praised Si Lan's genius in his mind. Not only did she already establish a relationship with him, if only she's able to successfully seduce him!

What better way to forge an alliance than through marriage!

"Si Lan please guide Alchemist Ken to his sleeping quarters." says Si Bu, Si Lan nodded and got up.

"Please follow me." she says.

After the two left, Si Bu got up and immediately went straight the head Elder requesting a meeting with him.

"Elder Si Bu greets Head Elder Si Xiong!" says Si Bu as he bowed on one feet and clasp his fist.

Infront of him sat a large man on a throne. His entire visage screamed powerful. He had snow white hair with some patches of black mixed in and a long white beard.

"Now then Si Bu what is it you have called me for." said the man as he nonchalantly sat on his throne, crossing his legs and holding up his face with his fist.

"Sect Lord Xiong this little here have come to show this." He showed the man a pill with a powerful aura.

"Isn't that a spirit enriching pill? By it's aura I can only guess it's a star rank 7. With our funds it would take quite the amount to buy that how did you obtain this?"

He was right, resources like these are normally reserved for the Sect Lord or an heir. Not even a number genius would get this good of a resource, some sects would probably even just throw this in one of their most secured vaults!

"This pill was made by the genius Ken Hai, he made this pill right infront of me. It was like a work of art!" said the elderly man he truly had high praise for Ken Hai.

He couldn't help but think that the little boy he saw in that backward hodgepodge of a village is actually now rising dragon.

"So your saying we should start business deals with this youngster." Says Si Xiong as he stroked his beard. Si Bu nodded.

"I was thinking even better, we should arrange a marriage between him and Si Lan. They seem to already be acquainted." says Si Bu.

The Sect Lord stroked his beard and smiled.

Ken Hai landed on the softness of the bed, as he began to rest. But his eyes opened as a determined look came onto his face.

'Good I'm no longer being watched.' He created a clone to act as himself as he took out an obsidian coloured watch with gold highlights.

Without doing a thing the watched released the nano bot Bat suit, which he now donned.

He teleported into the city in the dead of night. His job right now isn't to rob someone but his true goal is to go to the slums.

Neo Arcadia is set to complete in the next few weeks. When you have a constant supply of resources and is able to summon millions of clones to do your work.

Yeah a giant floating city that's able to nuke planets out of orbit won't take really long.

Did he mention it can nuke planets.

Anyway he had a plan of clones going around the the empire, recruiting mortals and to his cause. It isn't put into action as of yet.

But he will do it once Neo Arcadia is fully functional. Right now he plans to see the state of the slums he knows he won't like what he sees, but he wants to know if the Emperor truly cares for his people.

And he didn't, what Ken Hai saw filled him with so much rage he bet if he bought the Saiyan bloodline, he'd be a super saiyan by now.

What he saw was parents cutting the flesh from their own body to feed their children, a which is a normal thing here.

It being normal pisses him off.

There were women selling their bodies for just scraps, barely a couple bronze lien and even children were involved in it.

He even saw a mother and father selling their own child to just to provide for the eldest.

He immediately landed in between punches the cultivator buying the child, a blade extended from his wrist as he gutted the man.

He turned to the parents and child who were trembling in fear. He wanted to punch them both for selling off their child like they did, but he had no right to speak.

These people have been treated lesser than dirt the moment they are born. This one of the only ways they could survive especially in a world where might makes right.

"Please kill me and let my wife go!" says the man defending his wife.

Ken Hai took out a bag and dropped it infront of the couple. Large amounts of bronze and silver lien flowed out of it.

"Take that and never sell off your child again." says Batman his voice so rough you could grater cheese on it.

Ken then summoned multiple formation circles over and under the body of his victim, and with an orange glow, turned the corpse to ash.

As he was about to leave, but the woman asked. "Who are you?"

"I'm Batman." he disappeared in the night leaving the couple and child.

Ken Hai landed on a building overlooking the city. He placed a hand to his ear as he contacted a clone.

"Speed up everything, I want every one the projects completed in the next two days, after those two days are over, I want clones sent out across the country where mortals are located round up and recruit as many as you can.

It's time Neo Arcadia has risen."

Ken Hai forwarded videos of what he saw, not even half a second later the clone replied. [[It'll be done.]]
