The fight stops

After killing the dragon with the thrust, he moved toward the other one. But the other dragon did not expect Jian to be so swift in his movement. Jian had already sent a slash flying and it struck the dragon. It evaded half of the attack but not completely. Then it let out a loud squeal. It was not able to escape completely from such an intense attack.

It let out its cries in pain. It felt like its body was being pierced through, by many swords at a time.

Jian's movements faltered and he held his position with the help of the sword. He witnessed the dragon take half of the attack but was unable to send another.

At this time, Kaiser who was lying on the ground opened his eyes and saw Jian falter.

Without any second thought seeing Jian like that, Kaiser ran towards him. He saw the injured dragon. From a few glances, he understood what was going on. Jian was continuously fighting with soldiers, the dragons. He was exhausted from the continuous battles.

Kaiser then walked in front of Jian. He took a sword from one of the soldiers. He was feeling rather weak but he knew that he had to kill the dragon flying ahead of him. He summoned all of the strength he could muster and put it into the attack. Without wasting any more second, he charged at the dragon and sent a black arc. Then suddenly;y the air started to disrupt and the black arc sped towards the dragon.

The dragon was already injured and was in a weak state to move quickly.

The black arc slashed the dragon from its neck to its lower body and the dragon let hoarse scream.

Carl saw how Kaiser was moving and was not even showing any signs of emotion. Carl was feeling impatient with Jian and Kaiser and wanted to end this all. He glanced at Mary and noticed that she was still looking at Kaiser.

Carl slowly descended to the ground.

Kaiser was standing in front of the dead dragon looking at Carl who was slowly descending. Kaiser was unknown to him, the mysterious power he showed before.

While Kaiser was standing beside Jian with an indifferent expression.

Carl sensed the power of Kaiser, he scanned Kaiser more intently. From the beginning, he didn't give Kaiser much thought. As Kaiser was a human, Carl thought it would be easy to kill him. He had underestimated Kaiser and wondered how he had gotten this sudden strength. He has expected Jian to perform to such an extent but not Kaiser.

Mary was also in complete disbelief, that boy they took care of, was capable of raising such destructive power. From the time, when she found him in those mountains, she was aware of his well-being. She made sure, he was given proper care and food. Like other people of her race, she didn't show any prejudice towards him as he was from the human race. At some point, she considered him as her son. Though she may not admit that, it was clear in her treatment. At that time when she found the boy, who seemed like a sensitive harmless boy. He was put through so much torture by her husband and almost got killed. Mary was a very kind-hearted woman, and that was the reason why she took in the boy.

Now, Mary was still levitating in the air looking down at the Kaiser. Her eyes narrowed and gazed upon Carl, who came down, just a distance away from Kaiser and Jian

She knew Carl might do something, so hastily flew downwards making a storm of wind. She appeared in between Kaiser and Carl.

Carl smirked placing his claw on the ground and letting out a chill of freeze breath. The ground beneath Carl was covered in ice frost.

The atmosphere suddenly turned chilly. The crystalline snow started falling on the ground making it even chillier and cold.

Jian, Kaiser, and Mary, however, remained unaffected.

Kaiser tilted his head to look at Carl. His gaze was firm and showed no emotion.

"Mary, just where did Blodig bring that kid from? It is already so annoying to deal with you and your lackeys. That trash human kid is making it even more annoying than it was." Carl snorted. Carl wanted to kill Kaiser swiftly but Mary appeared in front of him protecting that kid and Jian.

"He is just human and this all doesn't involve him. Just let him go." Mary suggested turning her head back to Kaiser.

At this moment, Kaiser's eyes flashed with a black glint.

Kaiser clenched his fists and moved closer to Mary.

"Are you okay?" Mary asked him.

Kaiser did not reply but nodded his head as he was still staring at Carl with a murderous glare. The killing intent was still there despite not being affected by the chilling cold aura of Carl.

Carl was grinning after noticing Kaiser. He felt amused at Kaiser's efforts. He could not wait till he trample the kid in front of Mary. So she could suffer more seeing the kid who she took care of.
