Gasping for air

Life's like a boat upon the sea,

Don't strain too hard to make it sail,

For if you push with all your might,

The weight will make the boat's fate frail.

The pressure mounts, the water seeps,

The boat fills up, it starts to sink,

You cry for help, but no relief,

As deep inside the sea, you shrink.

Gasping for air, you beg for life,

But water's all that you receive,

Suffocating, body numb,

In torment's grip, you start to grieve.

You once fought hard, now you let go,

Silence surrounds, a calm embrace,

In death's arms, you find repose,

Eternal quiet, a peaceful space.
