CHAPTER 11

Standing in the middle,Deborah was waiting for the next challenger.That's when a huge monster,with Two head,came out.The monster was a prisoner as well.

The monster stood in front of Deborah, studying her.

Immediately the ground, around them opened, the monster charged quickly, with his mighty hammer.

He almost smashed Deborah, but she quickly rolled away from there.

Everyone was watching,as they feared that the monster may smash her into pieces.

Reed watched how Deborah was trying to escape the monster.And it reminded him of John,"There's no difference between the both of them.The same skills and zeal",he thought to himself.

Deborah rolled to the other side,on seeing the hammer,coming towards her.

She then noticed something about the monster,that surprised her.

When she rolls away,the second head always follows her movement. "The second head is his back eye", she observed.

The monster swinged its hammer to her side again.Quickly, she dodged it,rolled under his legs and sliced his leg.

The monster screamed in pain.He became angry and grabbed her.

Shocked, everyone thought she was doomed," He's got her",the prince panicked.

But to their greatest surprise, Deborah allowed the monster to carry her up.Then she used her sword to blind the eyes of the second head, "Roarr!!", the monster screamed and dropped her,rubbing his second head's blinded eyes.

Deborah grabbed this opportunity quickly.

She rushed towards the monster,sliced his hand and the legs again.

The monster began to swing his hammer towards her,so that it would smash her head.But Deborah proved to be tough for the monster,as she jumped over the hammer,making the crowds scream in excitement,and landing a kick on the monster's face.

" Uff!!",the monster sounded,as he moved close to the edge.He tried to balance himself well,so that he won't fall.But that's when Deborah used her sword to lift his leg up,allowing him to fall to his death.

"Ha ha!!,she did it", the king jumped up and laughed at Reed.

Everyone jumped up and cheered.The prince cheered loudly, and said to Esther,who was beside him," I think I've seen someone who can train me to be tough",he smiles,still looking at Deborah.

Deborah raised her sword in victory, and turned to look at Reed,where he was sitting. But it seems like Reed wasn't smiling nor was he angry. What was he thinking.

In two hours,Deborah had killed four monsters already,remaining one.

People had begun to bet on who was going to win,"Deborah is going to win,am sure of it",some agured.

Deborah stood in the middle, waiting for the next challenger. She had confidence that she was going to win the fifth monster,and join Reed.She was happy.

But to her greatest surprise, she heard the beast say,"Let the battle begin!!","Huh?!",she was astonished, "But where's the challenger?", she wondered, looking round.

The ground opened again,as Deborah wondered if the challenger was invisible. She stood still,as everywhere became silent like a graveyard.

Suddenly, she felt as if someone was standing at her back.Without checking or waiting, she swinged into action, as she swinged her sword back to attack the challenger.

Quickly, her sword clashed with the challenger's sword.

She looked at the face of the challenger, and she was left dumbstruck," Reed!",she stepped back in fear.

Everyone was shocked,"That Cheater!!!.He knows that Deborah can't beat him, that's why he came as the challenger ",the prince said angrily.

Lucy,who was standing somewhere else,became happy that Reed was going to fight with Deborah," Good!!,then he'll kill her",she smiled devilishly.

Reed looked at Deborah, and said with an evil smile, "Scared?". Deborah swallowed her saliva,shooked her head and said," No","Good!,let's begin",he said.

The both of them where about to take their position, when they noticed that they were both doing the same thing.

Fear gripped Deborah immediately, "Reed was created by my grandfather, so..he's capable of beating me.He must know all my moves already", she panicked within.

The horn was blown,and without hesitation, Reed attacked. He was fast for Deborah to get.

When he moved his sword here,and Deborah wants to attack,he would quickly change his action in a second,confusing Deborah.

He had almost injured her with the sword,when she noticed and quickly used her sword to block it.

He used his sword to push her close to the edge,making everyone to scream in fear," Deborah!! ",the prince and Esther screamed in fear.

Quickly, she positioned herself. Reed was determined to finish her,as he came closer to where she was at the edge,and almost stabbed her.Luckily for her,she moved away.

They both found themselves at the edge of the open ground, fighting,and moving round, to see who would fall.

This amazed the people,as the both of them seemed to be doing the same thing.

Deborah then moved away from the edge,so that Reed won't push her inside.But she was wrong.

As soon as she moved away,she didn't know that Reed followed her at the same time.And unexpectedly, he used the down of his sword to push her to the edge," Ahh!",she screamed, trying to hold herself.

People began to scream in fear.Deborah couldn't hold herself anymore, as she felt herself falling,"No no no!",she panicked and closed her eyes.

All of a sudden,Reed held her hand and drew her back,straight into his arms.Reed looked at the scared face of Deborah, still closing her eyes and shaking.

He began to stare at her beautiful face,as the wind blew her hair openly.

He was lost immediately. Deborah slowly opened her eyes and saw that Reed's arms were around her.Her heart began to beat.

She looked at him,and found him staring at her with an amazing smile,that touched her heart.

"At first..,I was suspicious.When you said that Blue was the one that took care of the demon bat alone,and you didn't do anything..., I knew something was fishy.Because Blue doesn't have the ability to take down that demon bat,except...", he uses his hand to dress her hair well,making her to shiver and blush,"... if there's a strong and tough warrior beside him", he smiles.

Deborah blushed and faced her head down.

Slowly, he released her and raises her hand,signalling victory. All the monsters began to shout," Yeah!!!".People began to cheer,because Reed has accepted Deborah.

Deborah was happy.But what made her happy the most was the fact that Reed was holding her hand.She looks at him with a smile,and thought to herself, "If Lucy hadn't made a fool of herself today,then I wouldn't have this experienced this moment".

Reed dropped her hand down and turned to face her.He handed his sword over to her,saying," I believe you remember this sword".She looked at it and realized that it was the same sword she used at the hall.She took it from him,smiling. Then he said something that surprised her,"This sword chosed you.It belongs to your grandfather ".She was stunned," It was his favourite sword.So use it wisely,or...foolishly, I don't care",he smiles and walks away.Deborah felt like screaming out loudly.Anytime he smiles,her heart begins to race fast.

The ground was close,and the prince,with others,rushed to meet Deborah.

Everyone wanted to congratulate her for her victory.Since she has now proven to Reed,that women too could fight.

Reed was about going in,when he stopped and turned back to look at Deborah.The way she was smiling and relating to others,made him to gaze at her.

As he was gazing at her with a smile,Deborah lifted her eyes,and their eyes met.Quickly, he turned his eyes away and walked inside.

Meanwhile at the forest, all the demons heard what happened to the demon bat from someone, and they began to think hard on what to do.

That's when Zipora suggested that she would go and defeat Reed.

Later at the castle, Everyone had gone back to their various place,and others,back to work.

Deborah was taking the mop,which she used to clean,before the battle,back to where she carried it.She was outside the castle, when she heard a voice saying, "Welcome our newest warrior to the kingdom". She looked closely, into the dark night, and saw Old man peter.

He walked towards her,clapping.She wondered why he was here.

He then said to her with a cold look," Wretched girl!You were busy playing with the enemies, instead of planning how you'll rescue your people from Reed's hand.Well!,at least you've shown everyone that you're a fighter. So I'll advice you to use it and get that book","No I won't ",she answered back.

His eyes widened as soon as she said that.He chuckles and fold his arms," Stubborn child.You better not disobey me","Am sorry but I can't.I want Reed,so do every other person that likes him. If you have a problem, then go and meet the king".She was about leaving, when he said, "Listen child,you'll continue to be the cause of everyone's sorrow,if you don't do as I say".

Deborah then said,looking confident," No,not at all.Instead, I'll be responsible for the peace of this land.Because I know that Reed,was created for this purpose".

Old man peter couldn't stand her nonsense, as he stormed out of the place.
