Chap 26

DEMI decided to soak herself in the bathtub to calm her. Javier finally stopped knocking after she said to give her some space. She just stayed there for about 10 minutes and decided to take a shower. She almost jumps out of shocked when he saw Javier sitting in the floor next to the bathroom door.

"You took a bath?" Javier stood up and confused looking at her. She felt embarrassed knowing that she's only wearing a robe and nothing more.

"Is that a crime?" she said instead.

"All this time that I was worried on what you're doing inside, you just took a bath?" There was a blame in his tone that made her irritated again.

"And what do you think I'll do inside the bathroom? And don't show that face on me like I did something wrong."

"What's going on here?" Selena was on their bedroom's door confused and she also looked at her with the same expression. "Doc, called me, saying he's worried about you. He said you won't open the door for him. He told us you were supposed to have a checkup now. I thought you're sick or something."

He looked at Javier who still has that same expression in his face. "I said stop doing that with your face and stop looking at me like that." She irritatingly said to him then turned at Selena again. "I'm fine. I just need to put some clothes." Then she went to their walk in closet where tia Marina put her luggage's.

She heard the two have a conversation but she didn't mind and just put on some clothes she pulled from her luggage and went out. The two are no longer there so she just dried her hair and went out of the room. She saw Javier sitting in sofa holding his phone and probably playing on it.

"Where is Anthony?" The house was so silent that she can't hear her son's laughter or voice.

"Rafael came in and he wanted them to tour the island so I just let them. Don't worry, they will not go near the bar and club." He answered still looking at his phone then finally looked at her after. "Are you okay now? Are we good to go in the clinic?"

She just nodded. Maybe she's being too much again a while ago. She can't just help it; it was her hormone controlling her. So she just silently followed her while they rode a Cart and went to his clinic. The receptionist on the clinic greeted them brightly.

"Is everything ready at the lab?" Javier asked.

"Yes sir, everything's ready." She answered like she's used to Javier being so serious.

When they entered the lab, he just followed everything they wanted her to do. She's not a OB-GYN doctor but she knew the procedures. And lastly, they went to the ultrasound to check the heartbeat of the baby and see how long she was pregnant. And as what she expected, she's really 2 weeks pregnant now.

"Are you hungry? It's almost lunch time." Javier asked when they went out of the room.

Everything was okay in her pregnancy, just her hormones that made her patience short that made her easily irritated, only when it comes to the father of the baby.

"Ysa sent a message a while ago. She said her mom cooked a pinakbet and chapseuy for you. So, she's asking of she'll send it here or at home, or we'll go there at the restaurant where they are now."

She swallowed when she heard the two vegetable dishes. She suddenly felt hungry.

"Where is that restaurant? I'm already hungry, plus I don't want to waste the effort of aling Sabel."

"It's in the resort. They said Anthony and Mindy are also there."

"Okay, let's go."

"Minji is also there with them." He said when they hop in the Cart again. "If you don't want to see her, then we can just go back at home."

"I don't hate your sister, Javier. I was just irritated to see her pore-less beautiful face. I don't want her to feel like I'm an enemy for the both of you." She felt like she needed to explain. "And I don't want you accusing me for hating her just because of nothing."

"Hey, I'm not accusing you, okay? I was just curious, that's all. I don't know how a pregnant woman feels."

"You told them that I'm pregnant already?"

He shook his head. "Selena did. When she came this morning, she figured out about it. So, I confirmed and told her that we are going to run more tests today. She probably told her fiancé and Dustin told the others. And I told Minji about how you feel because of your hormone."

"What? Are you really out of your mind? Do you want me to be hated by your sister?"

"Don't worry, she said she understood. Her best friend did worst on her when she was pregnant too, when she always bites and kick her and more."

"Really?"

"Yup, so don't worry." He pinched her nose. "So, are we still going to meet them?"

"Wait." She made him stop driving the Cart. "I just wanna know, for my own peace of mind. What are you going to do with me? I mean, you know, this baby is yours, and we also have Anthony."

"Don't worry. I won't leave you now. I will always be here for you and Anthony and for our new baby too."

"Okay." She nodded and smile. For now, maybe that will be okay… for now.

The staff in the restaurant said they go straight to the third floor because the others are waiting for them there. To her surprise, she saw petals on her way, like they should walk in there. Javier was just assisting her on her side but didn't get surprised on what's going on. Then he let her stand at the center of a heart shaped red roses petals.
