3 Chap 03

"You really transformed the island into this kind of place, boss?" Here comes his assistant who made his work in the FerArD lightly. Not because they have an affair or something, because Dustin swear that will not going to happen. Isabelle or Ysa, can do all the work for her. The only thing he did was to sign the paper, but of course not all the time.

She gave him a drink that he knew made by Kevin himself. Dustin at the floating gazebo, it was above the sea water and it was not far from the shore where the party is going on. It was already sunset, and the sky had a mix of orange and red.

Ysa saw the island before they open it in public. That was when the place is still dull and silent with just his house over the mountain was present. And it's her first time to see the changes of the island now. Dustin can say that she is not impressed with it. Well, what will you expect from a very workaholic girl who didn't know the word 'nightlife'? But he can't blame her because ever since she turned 18, all she did was work for her family.

Now she asked her to come to help his brother with renovating his new built house. Oscar was the only brother who still lived with him, not until he finished his house recently. Dustin was not sure how his brother knew about Ysa's dream of being an interior designer, but his brother Oscar, asked for her help personally. Oscar is a snob to all the girls who came near him, but ask his assistant to help him, so that's kind of weird. It made Dustin curious so he just let him barrow Ysa for a while. Maybe the girl also need to rest from facing clients and paperworks too.

"What kind of place?"

"Wild. Loud." Ysa shrugged but her face was distorted.

Ysa is like his younger sister, well she worked for him at the age of 20 and it's been 7 years now. That is why, when it's just the two of them, they can talk casually with each other. He's friendly to his employees in general but the bond between the two of them is different. He treated her like a younger sister. And he's not that bossy or strict in the office, but when it comes to their work, it's a different story.

"So how's the decorating going?"

"Boss, is your brother bipolar? One second he was kind and nice, but one second he's getting mad and I have no idea why. Plus, he has a lot of demands and requests. I already told him that I am not a professional designer. Heck, I didn't even finish my educated for that, so I am not an expert and I have no connections with a lot of furniture shop yet. Although, I can use the connections in your company for that. But still... He wanted me to design his furniture's and make it personalized as much as possible. I'm not even a furniture designer." She was definitely complaining now and it just made him laugh.

"Just have a little more patient with Oscar, Ysa. Sometimes he's a bit grumpy and off but he's a nice guy. If you're done with his demand and finish the works, then you can ask for a bigger payment. If he will refuse, then tell me, I'll be the one to make him pay."

"But boss, it's not about the money." She gave a sigh. "Anyway, how about my work at FerArD? I might neglect it if I'm going to help him here."

"Don't worry; I think I can handle myself. I know I always needed your help before, but that was when we were still trying to make this island alive. Now, I'm all free. I think, it's also better for you to stay here first. I'll process your vacation leave that you never filed for the past years. You deserve to have some rest, although you're still working here. You'll stay here so that it won't be hard on you to ride the boat every day."

"Wait, boss. Are you saying that I will stay here in the island? Like, stay - stay? In this kind of place?"

"You'll be fine, Ysa. You're already a grown up woman, it's time for you to be exposed to the world." She just messed her hair while chuckling.

"Boss!" Ysa protest but she knew she can't refuse it. Ysa had a pride when it comes to money. She won't take anything if she didn't work hard for it. But she thought she have to pay him back for helping her brother in the hospital.

He didn't inform her that he paid the bills of his brothers operation that night, when her brother rushed in the hospital because of a motor accident that nearly made his brother lose his leg. He needed an immediate operation for it to fix. But when Ysa found out about what he did, she asks him that she will pay it from her salary. When Oscar found out, he offers to burrow the service of Ysa instead.
