Chapter 27: Creeping Horror

On a winding stare down underground, a man was walking fast.

His gate is hurried but there's a noticable limp on his gait.His rode brush upon the marble surface of the stair making rustling sound and a with it is followed by sound of liquid drops on the stone.

The quiet surrounding of the deep stairs made the sound amplified and more...vivid.

The robe man have now reach the bottom on which he saw gigantic metal door. He walk to it slowly and touch a round decoration on it, with a twist the knob move and the doors were opened slowly.

The robe man walk in but stoped on his tracked immediately. On the dark path on his front stand a man in suits.

The robe man was shock and involuntarily walked back. But he was stop as the man spoke.

" You have made a huge blunder, as you have violated the law."

The man said softly but the environment made it seem loud.

" I didn't violated any law! I just killed insects , there is no law for Insects!"

Shout back the robe man , his voice was firm but there is a clear fear on his breath.

" No there is no law about that , but there is law about exposing us to the world of light!"

The voice of the suit man is heavy and powerful which made the man on the robe tremble and back away.

" Y-You can't kill me ! I have the protection of the Order!"

" You have lost it the moment you blundered"

The man in suit suddenly appeared in front of the robe man, his hand move in extreme speed and hold the robe man up on a choke .

" But don't worry i will not kill you! Your soul will still be useful for as a doll for my mother."

Stated the man in suits as the robe man struggled on his hold. After a few minutes the robe man stops struggling and limp down.

A strange smile then appeared on his mouth.

" The dark always hide but not for long .."

With that the door slams close.

Dr Rubio is still on his desk when Marissa came. She greets the doctor but she was swat away. She then saw the extreme eyebag on the professor eyes .

With a sigh she then prepared coffee on the pantry.

As she wait for the coffee to be heated,she pondered upon the information she heard on the news .

The incident have taken alot of lives so it will surely reach the ears of the media ,but the explanation that they gave was what shock Marissa. According to them , the caused of the deaths was a explosion of deadly chemicals from inside the labs, and they blamed the workers of the forensic building for their incompetent handlings of such chemicals.

But Marissa know that it was not true, she knows the real reasons behind the incidents .

But the incident was seem to be being covered by sheets by some people which made Marissa frown upon the reason.

Wouldn't it be better to let the public know the real reasons of the incident , wouldn't it make the people more vigilant and more ready to face those people. And why are they putting the blame on the workers when they are the victim of the incident.

" It already overflowing"

A voice from behind her made her wake up from her daze. It was the professor

The professor then walk up and turn off the coffee machine.

Marissa was stunned from the sudden appearance of the professor.

The professor then pick up the coffee and drink it. He then pause for a second.

" You must thinking about how the media covered up the incident isn't it?"

Marissa nodded.

" Though so . I advice you forget about it!"

The words the professor shock Marissa.

" But why !? Why couldn't they just tell the people the truth!?"

The professor gave her a gaze

" The people will only panic and chaos will ensue, this is for their own good"

Said the professor said flatly.

Marissa pick up something from the professor tone.

" But that was not the true reason isn't it"

" Oh no , far from it!"

The professor just smirk and walk away.
