A/N: I had to rewrite this chapter to avoid any wincest misunderstanding. I originally planned to reveal that Alice was adopted later in the story. I traded a potential plot twist with more story building so no loss here ^^.
And just like that, I was reincarnated, and in this world, my name was also Alice Wright.
My earliest memory after birth goes back to when I was 3. That memory is about my mother, who became a heroine in my eyes that day.
My mother is such a beauty that I never understood how my plain father managed to marry such a woman.
Her face was stunning and devoid of any flaws, but most found her intimidating because of her demeanor and piercing pale blue eyes.
She had silky blond hair that she usually tied in a single ponytail.
You may find my description a little plain, but I am not degenerate enough to lust after my mother.
Okay, maybe a little, but I don't want to NTR him since I love my father.
I call her my mother, but she is my aunt. She saved my life that day. I was with my biological parents on a trip around the country. During that trip, our family was kidnapped by demon worshipers. Unfortunately, my parents were killed before my mother arrived at the scene.
I still remember her silhouette, clad in lightning, protecting me as she dealt with the cultists.
After that, she adopted me and treated me as her own daughter.
That's how I became a member of the Wright noble family. I never learned who my biological father was. My aunt and her sister hadn't seen each other for a few years. My aunt had never met my father, and my biological parents were visiting their family to introduce me. The only clues I had about my father were my crimson red hair, my purple eyes, and the moon-shaped pendant I wore when my aunt found me.
From that moment, my life goal became to become as strong as my mother.
When I turned five, my mother gave birth to my little sister. Her name is Charlotte, and she is the cutest thing ever.
Unlike me, who had crimson-red hair. My sister inherited our mother's golden hair and blue eyes. It was like seeing a cute mini copy of my her.
I was so happy to become a big sister and began to dote on her so much that my parents had to stop me from spoiling her too much.
Once I turned 6, my parents hired tutors to teach me basics like reading, writing, and basic mathematics.
I learned how to read and write in a few months. That feat made my professors praise me as a genius.
After that, they taught me about my new world's history and nobility.
The world I am in is called Astria and is about ten times the size of Earth. It has five continents and twelve significant archipelagos. I was living in the city of Ostia, one of the major cities of the Sterling kingdom. That kingdom is a member of the Freedom Federation, the central government of the central continent.
The Federation is unique worldwide because it is not dominated by any race. In it, you could find humans cohabiting with beastmen, demonkind, elves, or many other types of Demi-humans.
Of course, at that time, I thought nothing of it, but later, when my memories came back, I was very excited about that.
I was also taught about nobility.
There are six ranks of nobility: Knight, Baron, Viscount, Count, Marquis, and Duke. Above nobles stood the Royal family.
My mother was a Baroness and was hailed as one of the strongest in Ostia. As a Baroness, she was put at the head of the city law enforcement.
Noble titles are proof of personal power and are not tied to any country. Even if a noble decided to move to another country, that noble would still retain his title. Since nobility was the main means of defense against outside threats, all kingdoms and empires gave noble privileges to incite them to settle down inside their borders.
Of course, those privileges had limits, and nobles were forbidden from harming commoners.
The main difference between Astria's and Earth's nobility is that titles are not hereditary. If he is not strong, a noble child will stay a commoner.
I learned many things during those years, from the different races to common knowledge about magic and Aura.
Four years passed like that, in happiness. Passing my days between my studies and my family.
But all changed when my tenth birthday came. That day I regained my memories and gained access to the System.
A/N: The prologue is now over. I hope I didn't bore you all with too much world-building. The fun starts in the next chapter.
