CHAPTER 69: A kick of Adrenaline

Leo grin seeing the notifications from the system. His Doom stones was rapidly increasing from 5,000 to 10,000 and it was till increasing which just made he's grin more broadly.

"I see they're having fun" Leo said calmly.

[ Janet side ]

The group of four ran out of the floor climbing down the stairs with full speed. The Adrenaline shot in their head increasing their heartbeat and speed.

"SCREEEEEECH!!!!!"

The four stopped in their track, looking down the stairs. Countless zombies were climbing the stairs with full force pushing and stepping on their kind trying to reach the delicious humans above them.

"What should we do now" Marisa said shivering in fear.

"Tyson gripped his axe staring at the zombies approaching from below and above them, he spot a door one floor below them.

"We need to get to that door!!" He shouted pointing at the door.

"W-We are going down, what A-About those zombies w-who are running up toward us?!" Marisa asked in a shaking voice

"Follow behind me" Tyson said rushing down the stairs, followed by the other three.

Gotten to the exit door Garrett grabbed the handle and pushed but the door remind unmoved.

"Guys it's LOCK!!!" He shouted.

"What!!" The three shouted out loud.

SCREEEEECH!!!!

The zombies from below and above are only one floor from them.

"Step back Garrett!" Tyson said pushing Garrett out of the way smashing his axe on the door handle.

BANG

BANG

BANG

BANG

"They are coming!!" Marisa shouted.

BANG!!

CLICK!!

"Yes, now!!" Tyson shouted pushing open the door rushing inside followed by the other three.

"Close the door!!" Janet shouted as she and Garrett held the door while the zombies jammed it from outside.

"Marisa! Bring anything that can hold this door!!" Janet shouted.

"What...?" Marisa asked completely out of place.

"SNAP OUT OF IT MARISA!!!!!" Tyson yelled at her making her flinch.

He quickly move to a big box and pushed with all his strength. "This thing is not budging!!"

After being yelled at, Marisa took a deep breathe and walked up to Tyson helping him, with the two of them the big metal box slowly move, after some more push the big metal box fall down while the two jumped out of the way.

BANG!!

The metal door successfully seal the entrance of the door.

BANG!

The zombies were not giving up and continue with their assault on the door, Causing a crack to appear.

"This door won't hold!! We need to get out of here!!" Tyson said looking around, they were in a room which look like a kitchen.

"Where are we?" Marisa asked looking around.

"I think We're on the second floor." Janet said calmly walking toward the counter with countless ingredients on it.

"First, we left all our supplies in Janet apartment while running, so we Need to gather again. We won't be able to find much here but we could till salvage what is left." Tyson said calmly looking around.

"Down" Janet said quietly swatting down over the counter. Causing the others to quickly swat down with her.

"What's it Janet?" Garrett asked quietly.

"Sheesh, there is a undead behind the counter." She said silently.

BANG

BANG

The banging on the door continue, attracting the attention of the undead behind the counter causing it to walk toward the hiding group.

"It's coming this way" Janet who was the closest whispered to the others.

"What should we do?" Marisa whispered.

"Kill it of course" Tyson whispered back.

The female undead putting on a chef outfit walked toward the group, staring at the door which was being jammed from the outside, with goo flowing down her mouth.

"This is the plan, Garrett you will distract her while I attack behind."

Garrett nodded calmly and slowly move away from the group, while Tyson moved to the other direction. The two girls remind in their position hiding from the female zombie.

BANG!!!

"Hey ugly face!! Am right here!!!" Garrett shouted drawing the undead attention.

SCREEEEEEECH!!!!!!

The female undead let our a loud shriek and was about to charge at Garrett when Tyson came behind her and smashed down he's axe on her skull bursting it open causing the female undead to let out a painful cry, Dropping down dead.

"Good, you did it, I was about to run away when this thing attack."

"Ok Let check this place for supplies." Tyson said walking inside the kitchen followed by the others.

[ two minutes later ]

The group of four search around the place as if in overdrive, after two minutes they got back together with their hunt.

"Ok we have 20 already cooked can foods, ingredients and some pain killers with a gun and 15 bullets. Ok I think this will do for now." Tyson said checking everyone find.

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!!

"Don't these guys give up?!!" Garrett yelled staring at the door.

CRACK!!!

A part of the door was jammed opened revealing a bald head zombie who was trying to enter though the crack on the door.

"Should I shoot it?" Janet said bringing out the gun she took from Tyson.

"Don't Janet! It'll only attract more of them, I saw a back exit let go!" Tyson said standing up and rushing inside the kitchen. The three looked at each other and followed him.

Tyson lead them to a back exit, when he opened the door, a ladder was hanging there.

"We need to climb down" he said calmly.

"We're on the second floor, so it won't be hard." Garrett said calming the girls worries.

"Who's going first?" Tyson said with a calm smile trying to hide his worried expression.

"Don't you know, ladies first." Janet said walking toward the ladder, also trying to hide her fear. After looking down seeing no zombies she crossed her right leg first placing it on the ladder and climb down grabbing the ladder handle with both hand slowly climbing down.

After Janet, Marisa followed then Garrett and lastly Tyson. All slowly climbing down making sure not to make a sound.

BANG!!

BANG!!!!!

The door holding the zombies finally broke down, the undead rushed over like they have all taken chicken blood, rushing to the kitchen.

The team of four finally landed on The ground. Before they could breath a sigh of relief they all heard shrieks and howls of zombies staring at them from a alley.

"Not again! Run!!!"

The group didn't have time to think and took off, at the same time countless zombies fell from the second floor, also joining the chase.

And the chase begin again.
