Maya had to go to the computer programming class and see the teacher telling them how to use paint software.
She was really surprised to see this illogical thing. There wasn't any Microsoft here but still, the computer software was working. Maya didn't want to think about it and lose her mind.
She had more advanced software in the real world. Even the stuff she brought back could be considered light-years away. She just acted like she was listening to the class.
No one took it seriously but she had to maintain her image as a student topper.
Maya painted a cute picture of a character she watched in anime. She missed those. She couldn't watch all her favorite shows and movies here.
The movies and shows in this world
were very few and Maya felt that they had to improve the level.
She was quite surprised by her origami powers. It was good to use them.
She had to think about how to use them properly. She would lose it in 7days.
What if she wanted a dagger afterward? Maya didn't have the ability to learn origami later.
So what could she do now?
She thought. Very seriously.
Her thinking posture got the attention of the guy who was watching her often.
He was watching her because he felt the familiar wave of magic around her. He was interested in that wave of magic but not her.
He snorted but dutifully watched her. She didn't do anything out of the ordinary.
If he didn't trust himself, he would have thought he was hallucinating.
But he wasn't so he waited to catch her red-handed.
Then he would ask her to tell him the truth.
A simple plan.
Maya kept thinking without knowing that someone was paying attention to her moves.
She was still thinking so she didn't have time to pay attention to others.
Finally, she figured it out.
So after school, she sneaked out. She was adept at this.
They had a place in the city near the school. The apartment had many of their necessities in case they needed to live there.
Maya bought a lot of books, and papers of many types. She spent half of her monthly allowance on this.
Paper was more expensive than she thought.
First Maya made some flowers because she loved flowers.
Then she made some houses, cubes, planes, boats, and spaceships.
Then she made some daggers, scissors, guns, and bullets. The origami power even made a dormant state for her weapons. So they would be assembled like transformers all by themselves. Pretty cool.
If she could, she would have shown it on Instagram. Or YouTube. Many paper crafters would love this. Maya would be totally famous for this craft in seven days. Alas, she was here. No stuff like that would happen here.
She cheered herself.
Her weapons would still hurt her enemies later.
Maya then made a compressed pack and stuffed it into her pendant, necklace, and ear rings.
She made hair pins too. Even some hair ties. She put the weapons in the soles of her sandals, and shoes and sewed them in all her clothes.
She made a foolproof plan.
Next time she fought, she would be a force to be reckoned with.
Maya then slowly climbed back to her dorm room. Riya wasn't surprised to see her.
Maya also gave Riya the defense jewelry and taught her to use it.
"I'm impressed. Where did you get this?"
Maya couldn't tell the truth.
"I got them as an inheritance. Only these many are left."
Maya felt lying was easy.
"I read your file. You do not have any inheritance."
Maya forgot. Riya, the ever-cautious one, would have a file about her. Riya was like a perfect spy. She had rules, and she was good at what she did.
That's why her end in the book was very heartwrenching.
"Uh. I got it today. That's why it wasn't in the file."
"You are a bad liar. Tell three truths and two lies. It will be believable."
She got up and stood before her.
"Your file wasn't big enough for me to read. I thought that you would never come here with me. I hoped this mission would only have me as the spy. And you performed really well in the cafeteria. I think boys are going to be asking you out."
Maya saw what she did there. She didn't know which was true and which was false.
She could learn something from her.
"How did you learn all this?"
Maya was genuinely curious.
"My uncle is a spy. My whole family is one. My mother is still working as a spy, spying on my dad."
Wait, what?
"Your dad doesn't know about you?"
"He forgot. It's a long story. Our mission success can help our family reunite. This is my dream."
Maya felt that this mission should be her life. What happened in the book? There was nothing written about Riya.
Whatever she knew, it was because she saw it before dying.
There was nothing about Riya in the book. She had to figure it out.
"Then you have to teach me stuff so that I don't mess up this mission."
So Riya taught Maya how to use their plant powers to deceive everyone.
Maya was having fun learning this. She didn't know her plant powers were this versatile. The next time she was called in by the teacher in the magic Specialization class, she was going to shock their souls out of their bodies.
Maya found that the two bullies, Kriya and Hima didn't even notice her.
But she noticed everyone else. She even learned gossip from Riya. The male protagonist of the book was estimated to arrive at the school for the freshers' ceremony. He was the musical genius of the musical family of the blood vampires.
He was a veritable prince and the heroine was the fallen princess. Her family was out of the league because they were reported and kicked off.
But she emerged victorious finally. She had a bunch of followers, admirers, and a doting male protagonist.
Perfect life.
Envious.
Maya sighed. There was a difference between the two people. She didn't know how to judge these people. She should hate them but she couldn't. How could she understand that they all did what they did out of their own violation? Was it the plot making them do everything?
Who knew?
But Maya couldn't stand by waiting for their morality and humanity to kick in. She had to fan out their butterfly wings and change the direction of this plot car so that it ran into the middle of nowhere.
She had to know more details so she could figure out her next plan of action.
Her mission was to find any suspicious activity in this Supernatural High.
The plant vampires thought that high school students were equally dangerous as their high-position parents.
They were right.
These students managed to burn forests off and kill them without involving their parents.
Not an example she could tell anyone about the ability of high schoolers.
"Heu you! What are you stating at?"
It was the golden finger guy.
You know sometimes you think about something deeply that you stare unknowingly but when you come back to your senses, you are staring very hard at someone that could very well freak them out.
Maya was the same now.
In her case, the guy wasn't freaked out. But his calling her out freaked her off.
Why was everything opposite with her?
People fell in love in high school. She studied twice and fell into books.
People enjoyed high school and she was meh.
People made friends in high school and she was performing a mission.
Not totally the opposite but she was well on her way there.
She also noticed that she was seeing this guy in light for the first time. The last time they talked, he was lurking in the shadows.
He was tall, very tall. Everyone could be called tall compared to her. His hair was unkempt, and he had no tie. Serious violation of school dress code.
His eyes were deep brown and he seemed sleepy. She could suggest to him some makeup tricks so he wouldn't look this tired.
"You are staring again. What's wrong with you?"
"I see that you are tired. Do you want some cooling masks to feel fresh?"
He looked like she was crazy.
"Stay away from me."
He ran off.
Maya realized she didn't know his name.
She should have read the file Riya handed her. Because she was lazy, she read one file. And that was the male protagonist.
She was pretty interested in this guy. The main reason was that he was like the ambassador of the will of the world. If the will of the world was some kind of dimension, that guy could be the unit. He could be the most important member of the band.
Or he could be the poster guy.
A guy that cute had to be the poster guy.
