CHAPTER 63: LORD ZADKIEL'S SUCCESSOR

Jia was excited

"System,how many years do I have left" Jia asked

"Waiit. Oh I get it. I am a demon" Jia said laughing crazily

Szayel stared at her in utter confusion

"This girl has the same character as Lord Zadkiel" Szayel murmured

If Jia heard this,she'd probably choke to death

Szayel got up and unveiled his true form

He looked like a humanoid version of Anubis

Several runic patterns were on his body

"Would you like to come with me to Arata" Szayel asked

"And where is that" Jia asked

"Where we Nubis species live.Someone would like to meet you. And besides you agreed to follow me" Szayel answered

"And when did I agree to go with you" Jia taunted

"Just answer.Yes or No" Szayel said in exasperation

"I'll go" Jia replied in excitement

"Zara,I'll leave now.Stay good" Szayel said touching Zara's face affectionately

"Take my hand" Szayel ordered

Jia held his hand and they disappeared

They reappeared at a water world

"Uh,you guys live under water" Jia asked skeptically

"It's not actual water girl.Follow me" Szayel motioned

They entered into the 'water ' and Jia figured out that the 'water ' was a special energy form just like Qi and mana

"So what's it called" Jia asked

" Zadkiel will tell you that.Now let's go " Szayel said pulling her

They reached a magnificent palace which looked like it was made of stars as it was very bright

It exuded a blinding light and a calming aura at the same time

Szayel entered the palace and entered into the throne room

A man that looked exactly like Zara except that he had Nubian ears sat on a diamond crested throne. The same crimson red hair

"Lord Zadkiel" Szayel said bowing

Jia had figured out that Lord Zadkiel was probably Zara's father

"Szayel" Lord Zadkiel said waking up from his suspended animation state

"How's Zara? Has he awakened?" Lord Zadkiel asked before noticing Jia

"He's fine. He's almost about to awaken" Szayel said still bowing

"Young miss,what brings you to Arata" Zadkiel asked softly

"Szayel" Jia said contemptuously

Zadkiel had a grin on his face. He tilted his head to look at her properly

Jia had a scowl on her face

"I have questions" Jia said breaking the silence

Zadkiel leaned forward and continued to look at her

"Why am i here" Jia asked looking Zadkiel straight in the eye

"How about you ask Szayel" Zadkiel taunted

Jia smiled sarcastically and started to condense a fire ball

As time gradually passed,the fireball began to expand in size

"If I'm not going to get answers,I'm going to blow this place up" Jia said with the smile of a terrorist

"Miss,this is trespassing.You're in my territory and you're attacking us.That's not fair" Zadkiel said in a low voice

"Szayel,leave us alone" Zadkiel signalled

Szayel prepared to leave but an array formation held him down

"Nobody is leaving" Jia ordered

Szayel tore a space in the void and disappeared

"Next time,always remember to seal the void" Szayel's voice rang out with a hint of amusement

Jia stared at her hands in disappointment

"I'm not strong enough" Jia murmured and turned to face Zadkiel

"What do you want from me" Jia said in a low voice

"Nothing. I just told Szayel to find someone like me" Zadkiel said casually

"Ok, can i go now" Jia said impatiently

Zadkiel smiled and stared at her in adoration

"Zara is yet to awaken his abilities and he is nothing like me" Zadkiel continued, directly ignoring Jia's question

"The truth is,though I appear to be young,I am going to die in a few days and i need a successor" Zadkiel said

Jia already understood what he was hinting at

"Firstly,I am not a Nubis. I am a tribrid though my demon bloodline is more predominant" Jia explained

" I know.But demons and the Neytiris are the progenitors of the Nubis race. Neytiris are gone " Zadkiel explained

"Don't you think Zara is going to object if he ends up awakening" Jia asked skeptically

"The truth is.. When Zara was born,there was a prophecy that he would never awaken.I was only trying to change that but looks like it's true" Zadkiel said sadly

Jia stared at him with mixed feelings

"What is that liquid energy form that surrounds Arata" Jia asked

"Colysi. It's an energy form found only on Arata. It's better than Qi and mana" Zadkiel boasted

"Colysi,Sounds cool" Jia murmured

"Now my little protege,Do you agree?" Zadkiel asked anxiously

Jia stayed silent for a few minutes

"Sure" Jia said flashing her pearly whites

"Come with me then" Zadkiel said jumping off the throne

Golden blood spilled from the corner of his mouth

"Uh you guys have golden blood" Jia asked

Zadkiel nodded

The blood had an addictive scent

"Oh no.Szayel brought Nubis blood. Yikes" Jia murmured in shock

Zadkiel reached a point and they stopped facing the wall

Then he made a symbol of the ankh and the wall caved in to reveal a massive chamber
