CHAPTER 42-TRAINING PAGODA

"You know,if you want me,you can tell me. I won't refuse " Diana purred seductively

Jia heard those words and immediately released Diana from her hug

Diana had a foxy smile on her face

"I'm sorry" Jia repeated severally with widened eyes

Diana laughed

"It's okay" Diana said with a giggle

"Wait,all the help you've given me for the divine trials,what exactly do you want?" Jia asked with a frown

"Nothing,we just want to help you"Diana lied

"That's a lie Diana. There's no such thing as a free lunch right ?" Jia countered

"There's a reason but it's not in my place to tell"Diana said with a shrug

"Since I've stacked you up, In about 4 hours,come to the arena so you can enter the training pagoda. For now ,stay here" Diana ordered

"What is the maximum amount of bullets the gun can condense?" Jia asked

"That's a hundred.And it'll take an hour" Diana answered and left.

Jia sat down and began charging up the gun

THREE HOURS LATER

Jia was done charging up the guns. She handed a gun to Feng

She was extremely exhausted

Before Jia charged up the guns, they were all bronze coloured but after charging them up,One became very dark coloured and the other became bright red

Jia nodded in satisfaction.

She felt her mana reserves almost go empty but the crystal horn began to refill her mana reserves

Jia closed her eyes and took a quick nap

ONE HOUR LATER

Jia woke up feeling better

She went to the arena and saw Diana already getting impatient

"You're already here?" Jia asked skeptically

Diana shrugged and immediately began to go in another direction

Jia took the cue and followed behind her

The entire structure of the place became engrained into Jia's mind

She looked around like a child on a road trip

Diana stopped in front of a building made of stone

The building looked lazily made with few sketchy designs

Diana pressed a few buttons and the door opened

She signalled for Jia to go in but Jia didn't go in

Diana pushed Jia in and shut the door

She pushed Jia in and murmured something under her breath

INSIDE THE 'PAGODA'

A hologram displayed a welcome message

It started a countdown timer

The scene changed into a bloodied world with dilapidated building

<Apocalyptic setting

Task ; Kill 50 mutated insects>

The hologram displayed

Jia was confused but there was no time to think

A loud noise like the sound of drones was heard taking Jia off guard

There were fist sized mosquitoes flapping their wings

They had stingers the size of a grown man's thumb

Jia sucked in a cold breath but she drew her guns and began to shoot the mosquitoes

Jia had never used guns in her life but she just kept on pulling the trigger like a madman

She shot two of them and the mosquitoes began rushing at her in anger

She just began to shoot sporadically till all the mosquitoes were eliminated

<Task complete> The hologram projected

Jia's eyes lit up in a smile

Galaxy setting

Task; Kill 5 aliens > The hologram projected

Jia frowned deeply

The scene looked like outer space

There were planets and stars

The aliens had blue coloured skin with abnormally large heads

They had three eyes and four slimy tentacles.

Jia observed that she only had 50 bullets left in each gun

Jia shot at them but it had no effect

She calmly retracted her gun and brought out her battle axe and her trident

Jia swung the battle axes and hacked around carelessly

One of the aliens grabbed her hand which was holding the battle axe with it's tentacles

Jia stabbed the trident in it's three eyes

Black coloured blood drizzled out from it's blinded eyes

The other aliens got angry and they all charged at her

Jia stabbed the trident into each of their eyes

They all cascaded down into the deep abyss

<Task complete> The hologram displayed

<Stage three initialization complete

Timed event

Task : Reach the peak of this mountain in 0:20:00

Punishment for failure ; Level 5 electric shock>

Jia stared at the hologram in disbelief

Her heart thumped in fear

The mountain appeared

It was a mountain with a steep slope. It had jagged edges.

The hologram immediately began a countdown

Jia slowly climbed the mountain inch by inch

As she was moving up, A wolf appeared beside her making her disorganized

The wolf had a threatening gaze

By the time she shot the wolf,she lost her footing and crashed to the ground with a huge thud
