CHAPTER 40- WEAPON SHOPPING

The ripper smiled and Jia cringed in disgust

"How about you wait for me in the afterlife" Jia declared coldly

The ripper bowed it's head as it resigned to fate and let out a loud mournful cry

It had committed seppuku

Elizabeth woke up and Jia stared at her cluelessly, expecting answers

Elizabeth stared shyly and hugged Feng causing his expression to become cold

"Ok what the fuck is going on" Jia asked with a hint of anger in her voice

"I saw everything" Elizabeth declared

"You saw everything? Are you kidding me? Elizabeth,let me remind you,You passed out!" Jia exclaimed

"I saw everything"Elizabeth repeated

"There's something you're not telling me" Jia concluded

"Yes ,there is" Elizabeth confirmed

" Then why aren't you saying a damn thing" Jia asked

"I won't tell you anything because I don't trust you enough" Elizabeth yelled

Jia's demeanor turned cold

"Are you like crazy or something" Jia whispered

"I'm not crazy" Elizabeth countered

"I don't think so" Jia said coldly

"Oh yeah,she is " Damon commented

Jia turned back and walked out of the Petrova dungeon

"Get out. Don't let me ever see you again" Jia said in anger

"No, wherever you go, I'm going to follow" Elizabeth said continuing to tag along

"What? You trust me now? " Jia said with a sneer

" I don't care." Elizabeth said throwing a tantrum

"Go away now" Jia said gritting her teeth

After thinking for a while , she disappeared at lightning speed to the underworld

Surprisingly, she met Elizabeth right behind her

"How ?" Jia managed to ask

"Wherever you go, I go" Elizabeth chanted as if under a spell

"Whatever,Take all the cores and DO NOT come near me if you still want to stay alive" Jia threatened

Elizabeth nodded and vanished

Jia sighed in exasperation

"She seems to be under some sort of enchantment" Damon said

"The enchantress got enchanted?" Jia muttered

Jia headed out to a weapon shop and bought several low grade weapons

From daggers to swords, tridents, sabers,katanas,battle axes, Battle hammers, shields and many others

"Now you're out of money " Damon taunted

"Whatever bro" Jia said

"Take your pick" Jia motioned to her subordinates

Feng chose a Trident and a Katana

Zi picked a battle axe and swung it around like a toy. He smiled in satisfaction

Khloe chose a battle hammer and a shield for protection

Linyu chose a Katana and made a few test strikes

"Your turn" Jia motioned to the nine suns

They all took shields and battle axes

Jia sighed in disappointment

She picked a battle axe and slung it over her shoulder

"Feels good" Jia said with a smile

She picked a Trident and made a stabbing motion in the air

"Wait for mee" Elizabeth said rushing down

Jia facepalmed and sensed that Elizabeth had made multiple breakthroughs

"Normal humans cannot digest the aura of beast cores. This girl has human aura but I sense Yuki's aura too" Damon thought loudly

Jia smiled forcibly

"Choose" Jia said

"Who is Yuki" Jia asked Damon.

Damon ignored her

Elizabeth picked a sword and battle hammer

Elizabeth had broken through to level 31

Jia noticed that Diana had summoned her

"What is it " Jia asked Diana

"The divine trials is tomorrow so I am here to prepare you" Diana Said

"Tomorrow?!" Jia exclaimed

"Yeah. You've been gone for three weeks" Diana said

"Follow me" Diana motioned

The walked towards an old dusty door

She made a hand sign ; The infinity symbol and the door opened

"What's it with the infinity symbol" Jia asked

"A lot of things girl" Damon answered

His answer was shrouded in mystery

Jia thought about it but she couldn't fathom anything out of it so she shrugged it off
