CHAPTER 54: TSUNADE RETURNS

It had been a few days since Tsunade, Jiraiya and Shizune had started their journey back to the Hidden leaf village. If their estimation was correct then they should be arriving at the village tomorrow by noon. Tsunade had been going on and on about how she will kill Ryujin for daring to shamelessly blackmail her. Jiraiya once had thought to send a message to warn Ryujin but then choose not to as it would be fun to watch the scene play out. Alas! If only he knew the fate that awaited him.

Back in the village, Ryujin was sitting in his office deciding on the next course of his actions.

" What should I do next? Hmm, nothing much is going on anyways. Atleast if I was a jonin I could have gone on missions and have some excitement. This is vey boring. "

Calling out to his secretary he said, " Call Shikaku Nara and Fugaku Uchiha in my office. Also call the Third and Danzo and tell them to come as soon as possible."

" As you wish Hokage- Sama" She replied.

Thirty minutes later Fugaku entered my office followed by Shikaku, Hiruzen and Danzo.

"Please take a seat gentlemen. We have a few things to discuss." I greeted them and pointed to the seas in front of the desk.

Settling down I chose to start with Hiruzen, " How's the academy progressing?"

" Good. For now there is no problem. The process of using academy students for E ranked missions is a good way to build teamwork and has proven to be effective. Though I think that we need more teachers for the advanced subjects for the senior classes and our chunins may be ineffective to teach more advanced lessons." He replied.

" Hmm. That's indeed something to worry about. Shikaku any input you wish to provide?"

" Hmm. Troublesome. Well we should assign some special jonins for teaching the last two years. We cannot assign full fledged Jonins as they will be needed for missions. that's the best I can think for now. Also Hiruzen Sama can also personally take some classes if he is free. That should be helpful for the future generations." Shikaku replied.

" Agreed. I hope you will be able to do that Hiruzen?" I asked

" Yes. No problem. I will choose the Special Jonins and induce them in the academy by the next week." Hiruzen replied.

" Good, the next thing I want to discuss is the Uchiha Police Force." I said

" What about it hokage sama?" Fugaku asked.

" I want you to allow members of other clans to join the police force. You will still be the head of the force and all below you would be answerable to you. But I want to change it from the Uchiha police force to the Konoha Police force. this would increase your interactions with other clans and increase your reputation among the villagers. That's the first step of dissolving the malice the villagers have against the Uchiha" I said to Fugaku.

Fugaku seemed to think over the matter but it was Danzo who objected." This is too much. Giving them power over members of other clans and increasing the power of the Uchiha clan. It was my sensei, the second Hokage who established the Police force. Why do you have to change it?"

" It's because times have changed. When the Hokage established the Uchiha police force the population of Konoha was not as vast as it is today. So yes, with the change in time, certain things needs to be changed."

" I accept." Fugaku said." I shall talk to the clan and inform them about the changes."

" Very well." I was pleased that Fugaku accepted my decision without question.

" Next is Danzo." I said and Danzo though not troubled and having a cold face straightened his back. 

" I need you to provide me with a list of the shinobis presently active in the root division."

" What!!" Hiruzen exclaimed, " Danzo did you not shut down root after I explicitly told you to?"

" Of course I didn't. Root is essential for the survival of Konoha. We are the darkness that helps Konoha thrive." Danzo replied to Hiruzen. " However there is no record that shows that Root exist. So how did you know?" Danzo questioned me

"I am an Uzumaki. My sensing capabilities are far beyond what you can imagine. So provide me with a list and I will let you exist. Don't follow my orders I will wipe you out. Is that clear?" I asked

" You will have a list of the active root members by tomorrow morning." Danzo replied.

" Good. I want root to undertake a mission. Assemble a team of 10 of your best operative and send them to me tomorrow with the report. " I said 

" Very well." 

"Okay you guys can leave". After they left I called my secrataty again and said, " Call Kakashi Hatake and Shisui Uchiha to my office

Next Day

As promised by Danzo I received a full report on the Active members of Root. There were currently 120 members of the Organisation. 25 Jonins , 50 chunins and the rest trainees. 

Standing before me was a group of 10 shinobi from root. 5 jonin and 5 chunins. Looking at them I said, " Your mission this time will be assigned by me as you have already been told. I want you to infiltrate Kirigakure and get in contact with the bloodline clans specially the Yuuki clan. As far as I know, Terumi Mei is the one leading the revolution against the mizukage. Your goal is to get in contact with Mei and hand her this scroll. For the Yuuki clan I want you to hand them this scroll. Do not fail." 

" For this mission Kakashi Hatake will lead you and will be the captain of the Squad. The second in command will be Shisui Uchiha. Follow their commands as if they are commands coming from me." Said men came opening the door. " they have already been briefed by me and will give you further instructions during the mission." 

Seeing them nod their head I said, " Go" and they vanished with a sunshine. 

'well nothing more to do now than just wait for the results. If they are successful then we will have a good alliance with another one of the five great nations. Although we have an alliance with Suna, knowing what the future holds I would not like to count them in our alliance. Fucking backstabbers.'

I started doing some paperwork when Izumo if I remember correctly sunshined into my office looking quite disheveled. " Hokage- Sama, Hokage- Sama, Tsunade Senju has entered the village and is searching for you. She is coming towards the tower and is very very very angry." 

Closing the papers I stood up, " Finally some entertainment."
